I am very…read morehappy that I chose Saber Roofing for plenty of reasons. 1) The owner, Ryan, met with me to discuss the work and was very thorough and helpful in answering all my questions. 2) Important details were covered including adding a rain chain in a location where a downspout would have been unsightly (picture attached). Among the details, the rain chain is made of copper while the gutter is made of aluminum. Having these two metals come in contact could compromise the aluminum over time. So, Saber installed the copper rain chain with a protective barrier. 3) Their client service and sales director, Jake, was super helpful and extremely responsive to all my questions. 4) The crew was very efficient, provided high quality workmanship, and left the site spotless. 5) The gutter guards that were installed provide a really fine barrier to prevent even small debris from entering my gutters, but are easy to rinse so that fine particles can be washed through the gutters. 6) The two downspouts that were installed were matched to the color of our trim. Other companies offer limited colors or simply white downspouts, but Saber offers a wide variety. 7) Their pricing is very competitive. From end to end, this was a great experience and I highly recommend Saber Roofing.

Usually you might not take the highest bid, but that let us know they would do the thorough job they did. Worth every penny. They worked quickly and left the yard cleaner than they found it!

So we got in touch with ELM Roofing and had them come out to do an inspection. Lucas was great. He identified the issue quickly, stepped us through what our options were, and kept us in the loop the entire time. He checked the roof out with a drone, since it was too high to run a single ladder up, and we got to watch the neighbor's resident hummingbirds go nuts trying to threaten it away. Evidently hummingbirds hate drones! We had our entire roof and the garage roof replaced, because the builder had cheaped out on underlayment materials and is a pain to get to fix anything under warranty. So, y'know, forget him, but this isn't a review about him. We've got a much tougher underlayment now, all the chipped tiles we had have been replaced, and it is quite honestly better than new now. They did clean work, too. Didn't mess up the yard at all, they were fastidious about noise levels and allowed work times, everything you'd hope a certified contractor would do (but do they? Well...many don't, believe me). Quick and thorough, and when the project got interrupted by rain, they kept us informed about that, too. They came out on a Saturday to get ahead of the weather and even let us know exactly what the local weekend construction ordinances were ahead of time so we'd know what to expect. I think that's what I'd say about them the most: No surprises. They don't do anything unexpected with the final invoice, they don't jerk you around, they don't treat you like you won't understand what they're doing. You're fully in the loop at all times and you're treated as a partner in the project. You get exactly the work and quality promised. And it's good work, with a 20 year guarantee. I'd highly recommend them.

They don't want small jobs and they will try to talk you into replacing half the roof! Update: Derek has been calling me repeatedly about my 2 star review. The facts are Derek quoted me almost 11 grand to fix that leak! You guys were way out of line. No other quote exceeded $3,600.00. It is my opinion that you don't want small jobs and were not the right fit for me. I'm entitled to my honest opinion and that's how I feel about it. All my roof needed was the mortar patched, and the hole fixed. There was nothing wrong with the underlayment. We checked! The company I hired patched up ALL the holes in the mortar on the whole roof and replaced 19 broken tiles in addition to fixing the leak for $3,600.00. To just fix the leak would have been $1,600.00. That is an appropriate quote for a simple leak, not what you did.

Shahar, their sales rep, provided me with a very detailed analysis of what needed to be fixed and even provided me with multiple quotes. He even showed me drone footage of my roof and pointed out all the problem areas of my almost 40 year old roof. During the whole process, he was very accommodating and provided updates along the way. While the project start was postponed due to weather, it was worth the wait as they did a great job with redoing the underlayment of my entire roof in a timely manner. They even constructed and applied a decorative gable feature that we requested. Our house looks brand new now! What we loved most about First Tier Exterior is that they have teams of employees skilled in different areas so they can complete ALL aspects of the job. That way, we didn't have to be in the position of coordinating different companies and workers (who then blame each other for problems with the job!) The company is employee-owned, so everyone has a vested interest in the success of each project. As a result, First Tier Exterior was very meticulous about the job they did and they were very mindful of our satisfaction with the final product, even returning a few times to touch up small details after we had made the final payment. My husband and I are very pleased with the work they did for us.

Not a bad result in the end, but had a few problems getting there…read more When I bought this house recently, my window sill a was covered with some kind of spongy caulk-like material, and it was deterioraing. I was looking for someone who could rebuild the sill before I went out of town for two weeks. EM came out quick and got to work. One of the workers asked if they could use metal on the sides of the work area instead of stucco because the sides were also composed of the same caulk-like material. Based on that, I said ok. This was on a Friday and they said they would be back on Monday to finish the job. When I arrived back from vacation two weeks later, the job was unfinished and leaking. It took another two weeks to get them back out to finish, even after letting them know it was leaking. They didn't cover the area so I had to go on the roof and put a tarp over it. They also left the window trim sitting on the sill soaking wet. Later after reviewing the before photos and talking to my other contractor I found out that that the sides were indeed stucco. I feel like they mislead me to take a shortcut, despite our contract stating the sides would be stucco.

The owner Jay was very trustworthy and the project manager Elijah always followed through with what he said would be delivered. The workers showed up early each day as promised and did a wonderful job. I also loved the progress picture updates after each day of work. AAR had the best contract and price after sourcing multiple quotes. We even got the upgraded Solaris shingles by booking by a certain date in October which was awesome because they refract more heat in the summer. We added new gutters on for 4k too. If I had any constructive criticism to offer it would have been to communicate more with the placement on the gutters because we had to have them come back to make a patch and move the gutter to the side because it was better looking on the side of the house rather than a focal point in front. But as promised, they made it right and got the job done with my particular request. Our house looks so much more updated with these Morie Black Landmark shingles, rather than the old terracotta tiles that we had before. I've already referred 3 people to their company and my parents got their roof done by them a month later! It was a bummer they wouldn't honor a referral discount since they said we would have needed a sign out on our lawn to get a discount. (As well as we wanting to adhere to the true aesthetic style of clean lines and edge profiles) We received 5 quotes and chose Equinox Roofing and we are glad we did. They were not necessarily the cheapest, but the price was competitive, they had a well outlined proposal, great reviews, and there were not any big surprises throughout the process that were not in line with what was outlined in the proposal. Ben, Abel (as the PM) and the entire crew were professional, responsive and worked rapidly to replace the roof in-between rainstorms that surprisingly popped up unannounced on the forecast. They resculpted previously problematic drainage areas through thoughtful insulation techniques that led to improved drainage flow and removed ponding issues that were there with the previous old roof. They also did a great job cleaning up at the end of each day. My wife and I are in the design industry, so we can be overly picky and there were a few tweaks we asked them to do throughout the process - which they did without any hesitation. You can tell they care about their craftmanship. Highly recommend Ben and the Equinox Roofing team.
