My oldest son and I were going to a Bucks game and got downtown early enough to have dinner somewhere first. We started walking past the Deer District when I noticed Tom's Watch Bar. A quick look at their menu online gave us plenty of options to choose from, so we went in for dinner. My son had a plain cheeseburger with fries and I had the crispy chicken & cornbread pancake. We also shared cheese curds and a side of mac and cheese. The cheese curds and mac and cheese were both good. I had a hard time telling if the curds were battered or cornmeal breaded cause they didn't get very crispy like the cornmeal kind but the breading wasn't exactly cornmeal in texture. The mac had a white cheese sauce that was almost Velveeta like in creaminess, yet I thought it was better quality than Velveeta. Unsurprisingly, my son enjoyed his burger and fries. No further notes needed. Even though I'm not a pickle fan and the menu said the crispy chicken was pickle brined, I took a chance on them anyway. Well, it's not kidding. Unlike Chick-fil-A chicken that has a hint of pickle flavor, it was strong with these strips. Not to the point I disliked them, though, which was a plus. The cornbread pancake tasted less like cornbread and more like a regular pancake, which was slightly disappointing cause I was looking forward to cornbread flavor based on the description. read more

Went for trying something different to view the "sports" I saw a promo for VIP World Cup seats and so my friend and I decided to give it a go. The mine looked good. When we arrived they were both very busy maybe a handful of tables near the bar. We did have a team member acknowledge us but then waited a few minutes, another group came in and was also waiting they even started walking around and we informed them that someone did check in with us so hopefully soon we'd all be seated. Once seated our server was nice so please nothing against that. We ordered drinks which we actually returned - it is very rare this has happened they were watery and did not taste like the described profile we chose to stick with water. (My friends drink was supposed to have a sugar rum and it wasn't even served with that). We had a free chips and queso included with the vip package so we went with that and cheese curds and were recommended to get the potstickers. Service took forever considering the fairly vacant establishment and tons of staff we counted 4 bartenders and 4-6 staff otherwise on the floor. Food came out cool - warm would be too kind. The queso was decent but I feel you can't go wrong. The cheese curds had no pull and were teeny tiny! The sauces with them were both good and the curds weren't horrible but not on my top list. I would not recommend the potstickers the sauce/glaze is very salty. They would have been much better without it (and I'd they were hot) all our apps can out at separate times as well no where close to each other. I see so many reels sharing the experience here and it just seems a little misleading. I think if you're going for maybe just beer and a game you'd enjoy it. Like yes hella tv screens for the sports but not timely service, poor cocktails (and for not a cheap price), and meh food (again not cheap) is a no for me. read more

Great location for before a Bucks game. Priced to match. Friendly service on cue with the pre-game crowd. Wings - Nashville hot, Jerk Wings were bigger than most. Hany likes it. I prefer the smaller ones myself. They were well cooked and moist, but not crispy on the outside. Nashville sauce was good. I wasn't a fan of the jerk, which had an Asian feel to it. Service fee of 4% was charged for 2 of us. What is that? Isn't that what we pay tip for? We weren't able to see the bill before paying, because the server just brought us the card reader and offered that we check out while we were still eating, since we would be leaving soon to catch the game. Overall, I've had better food a little bit further away on 3rd St, where there are lots of eateries. This place has better location and is new and I wanted to stay close cuz it was a freakish cold day. read more

A group of friends and I went here to watch March Madness and it was amazing! We only got appetizers, so I can't say much on the main food items. The nachos were HUGE and delicious. All of the chips weee covered in queso and toppings. We didn't even finish them all. We also got the cheese curds, which were amazing but small portions. I got the various spritzes, which were super tasty. The TVs are nuts. Our server was SO sweet and amazing. I can't wait to be back to watch more! read more

Visited on 12/28/2025 and was underwhelmed by the food. I ordered the Mediterranean bowl (served in a plate) which is a 17.99 salad with no flavor. It was literally a packet salad mixed with pickled artichokes and olives. I would not order this again. My husband ordered wings and they were tough/undercooked. Overpriced food and drinks, I would not recommend this place. read more

Never Again. Our table was nice with a pretty good view. We were seated 1 hour before the World Cup game. The view was pretty good to the main screen (that was the good part). 20 mins. later our server came and took our drink order. 10 mins later we got 2 out of 3 drinks. It took another 10 minutes for the 3rd. At that time we placed an order for 2 apps. 30 minutes for the 1st app. 20 minutes later we saw our 2nd app delivered to the table next to us and they dug into it. We assumed they ordered the it too. We flagged out server down and asked where our app was. 15 mins later we asked again. By now the game was on. Finally we flagged him down and cancelled the app and ordered our entree's and another drink. Our drinks were intercepted by us on the way to the neighboring table. It was after 1/2 time when our food walked by us to the next table and we had to stop them from eating them. Too bad one of the ordered was wrong and had to be sent back. At that time we cancelled it. Clearly the wrong table was on the order and the table next to us hit the jackpot. At the end of the game we were given the bill and the app and dinner we were never got were not removed. Considering they were not filled to capacity I have no clue if they were short staffed, new staff or just didn't care. We will not go back again. read more

The venue is huge! Lots of TV's and character; the new Manager is fantastic, however, the prices are outrageous!!! Four of us for a game, two appetizers, some beer and a couple cocktails....$300. As much as we would like to support the new management/owners, the prices seem quite high. We chose Tom's Watch Bar to watch the game mainly because of the massive TVs, but unfortunately that's where the positives ended. We started with drinks and immediately noticed there's no pricing listed anywhere on the menu, which should have been a red flag. Three people at our table ordered double espresso martinis that came out to $24 each. Not only were they not cold, they tasted like they were poured straight from a can. One of the glasses even appeared to have lip marks still on it, which is unacceptable. My wife ordered a non-alcoholic watermelon cooler that somehow cost over $20 and tasted like pure sugar. When we questioned the price, the server simply said it was "a large." The food experience wasn't any better. Dishes came out at completely different times, and the rice was stale and freezer-burned, like it had been sitting for months. The salad was bland and no better than a basic bagged grocery store salad. For a place charging premium prices, the food quality was shockingly low. They also managed to mess up basic cocktails like a margarita and a Manhattan. To top it all off, there's a 4% service fee added on top of already inflated prices for service and quality that don't come close to justifying it. I'm genuinely surprised this place has any good reviews. Between the overpriced drinks, poor food quality, and lack of transparency, I wouldn't recommend Tom's Watch Bar to anyone. Given the Deer District location and competition nearby, I'd be shocked if they're still in business a year from now. read more

We were seated outside and sat there for over 15 minutes without ever being acknowledged by a server. I finally went to the host stand to let them know no one had come to our table, and I was told a server would be there shortly. After waiting another 15 minutes with still no service, we finally got up, walked back to the host stand, and said we were giving up and leaving. The complete lack of attention and service was unacceptable. I will never be back again. read more

It was okay, giant screen. Drink prices were not listed anywhere, were expected to be somewhat higher than we're used to. No big deal. We ordered a chicken sandwich and chicken strips at the bar. However, they forgot our food, served everyone around us until we asked about our food. Food came out somewhat cold so we knew it was just forgotten and sitting in the back for a while. We tipped accordingly but they apparently felt they deserved more so THEY decided to add another $25 to our credit card for themselves, AFTER WE LEFT. Definitely didn't deserve that kind of tip!!! I wonder how many people just pay and never check their statement... Called my credit card company and they will be handling it. Watch your credit card statement. I have been to the Vegas and Washington DC location several times. Love the prime rib sandwich. I understand this location has only been open for a short time. Our food took nearly 1 hour to come out and both of our sandwiches were cold. The tacos were less than impressive. Unbelievably high cost. Scammers. They do not show any pricing on drink menu. Some things have a scale using $$$. We ordered one meal (burger), one appetizer, and two drinks each for the two of us. Bill comes at $138.00. Worse yet, they show the bill on their handheld scanner and hand it to you to pay. My husband gives an 18% tip before I see. I ask for a printout of the receipt and see that they've also added on a 4% service fee prior to taking our card and adding on the tip. So disgusted! A quick cheap meal before an Admirals game cost us $164. read more

I visited Tom's for dinner and drinks with 3 of my sisters before the MU game on Tuesday, January 27. At 5:30, we were seated quickly because it wasn't crowded. The atmosphere was friendly and comfortable. Our server did a nice job and the food was good. I have 2 complaints that loom large, however. 1.) No prices are listed on the wine menu and, unbeknownst to me, I ordered a 9oz glass of Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon for $37.49 and a second 6oz glass for $24.99!! The most I've ever paid for a glass of wine at any other restaurant was $18 and I knew the price ahead of time. I find the hidden high pricing dishonest, outrageous and disappointing. I only thought to check the receipt when my sister offered to pick up the tab and the server made some comment about the expensive wine. Needless to say, I wound up paying for my own drinks out of shock and embarrassment. 2.) I tried calling the restaurant 5 times to share my complaint with the manager but could only leave a message and I never got a call back. Again, very disappointing. Nyah is a very nice young lady. She is very good at her job. She greeted us with a warm welcome and sat us right away.

Amazing food. Had the prime rib sandwich. So good. Great service. Abua was a wonderful server that really knew the menu. Great suggestion on starting with the nachos and ending with the colossal cheesecake. Great meal. read more
