came to pita craft because the sushi place was closed today and pita craft was next door. This was…read morea great call!! The restaurant is very clean. You order at the counter and there are a few tables to sit at. Being this is my first time, I will mention while writing this in a little annoyed because I didn't look at the menu close enough but the owner at the counter shoulder and could've took me this when ordering. I ordered the lamb gyro which was overstuffed and delicious. He asked if I wanted lettuce tomatoes and onion and I said yes (this is usually on a gyro). Quickly scanning the menu advice, I didn't see any option to make the gyro a combination with fries, so I ordered the side of fries $6.50. While sitting to eat, I was looking over the menu more and noticed that there was an option to make any sandwich an original which means..... add fries instead of lettuce tomatoes for $1. I would've gone this route if I saw that. I guess live and learn, my mistake but he should've told me of that option. Next time and I will let him know this, but I will not let it negatively affect my review. (Update) another person just came in and ordered the same so I opened my mouth to let him know about the $1 option. The owner then said that it was fried in the sandwich). I never heard of that option but at least I know, you can only order the side of fried, they should have a combo price. The Gyro is amazing!

It was only a $1 so I tried it and it wound up being French fries, lol. Not a huge fan in the sandwich as I like fries crispy but hey, to each its own. Their Avgolemono soup was fine but I really liked their chicken souvlaki. Very fresh. Reason for the docked star was because my wife's dish wound up being gyro meat instead of the ordered souvlaki.

My last visit (Friday afternoon) I ordered a Medium Wintermelon Milk Tea (you can get it without the milk), Grilled Chicken Garlic Noodles and a Grilled Shrimp Rice Bowl. Everything was delicious and very flavorful though I felt the Garlic Noodles were a bit on the saltier side and the Wintermelon Milk Tea was a bit too sweet (and I have a sweet tooth). There were a lot of flavorful chicken pieces and the shrimp came with about 7-8 pieces, also very flavorful. They have 3 different sauces that I was given since I was eating there and just returned it to the counter once done. My favorite of the 3 was the more liquidy one though they all tasted great. The place is located in a strip mall with a lot of free parking. There's some seating inside and one small table outside. It's spacious and clean. They have great background music playing and their unisex bathroom is spacious and clean as well. The food came out in a reasonable time and the staff (I'm assuming maybe the owners) were also very pleasant.

I'm not someone who enjoys leaving negative reviews, but unfortunately there's a reason the ratings aren't high. When you walk in, the servers are right there, but they look at you and don't say anything. It's awkward from the start. I'm not sure if it's a language barrier or just the way things are run, but it makes the whole experience confusing. They have iPads for ordering, but there are no signs or directions anywhere telling you that's what you're supposed to do. So when someone finally acknowledged me, I started to order at the counter, and the guy told me to order on the iPad instead. I tried, but I couldn't make the modifications I wanted, and when I attempted to explain that, communication became really difficult. He eventually had to call someone else over to help. Trust me, I have a lot of patience for language barriers, but when there's attitude involved, the sympathy goes out the window. It just makes everything more frustrating than it needs to be. Now, the food itself? Actually very good. I was excited to try the Impossible chopped cheese because I've heard great things from other locations, and it did not disappoint. It was really delicious, just a little pricey, especially when you compare it to a regular chopped cheese from a bodega for half the cost. My husband got the chicken tenders, and he said they were also very good. So here's the bottom line: the food is solid, but the service is extremely off-putting. We even tried giving them a second chance, and the experience was basically the same. I'd consider ordering online, but the prices on their website are literally double, and when my husband pointed it out, they argued with him. All in all, the food alone is good enough that I want to like this place, but I'm not sure I'd go back. Try at your own risk, LOL.
