Amazed and in shock this exists. I am BLOWN AWAY. I can't say enough GREAT things about Skyline Motors Auto Sales in Tacoma, WA--they are, without a doubt, the best used car dealership I've ever dealt with. After searching tirelessly for over 20 Ford F-150 3.5L twin-turbo trucks, I finally found the cleanest and most reliable one here. It was the only one without the dreaded timing chain issues in Washington on all the Facebook ads, and Skyline Motors was the only place that has made it happen for me. They lowered the price to fit my budget, beating other sellers by 50%! That kind of generosity and fairness is practically unheard of in the world of used car dealerships. They are truly realistic, reliable, and honest, and their integrity shines through in everything they do. The entire experience was amazing. Their vehicles are inspected by extremely talented mechanics before being sold, which is a rare and valuable service when buying a pre-owned vehicle. I've never felt more confident in a purchase. A special shoutout to David, who was incredible throughout the process. He was professional, knowledgeable, and respectful, yet he got straight to the point without any of the usual sales pressure. He allowed me to take my time inspecting the vehicle and even let my brother and me test drive it on our own--something I've never experienced at any other dealership. His trust and genuine approach made the entire process feel authentic and stress-free. David truly understood the outrageous prices at other dealerships in today's economy and confirmed his dedication to providing vehicles with pre-owned reliability at a realistic range. He was patient, honest, and straightforward about the price, and he listened to my needs when I explained them to him. I have never had such great care in any car purchase in my life. After being without a vehicle for two years, Skyline Motors made it possible for me to finally own a reliable truck. I now have a Ford F-150 that's in fantastic condition, and I couldn't be more thankful for their kindness, respect, and honesty. They went above and beyond compared to other dealerships, where I never felt the same level of care or integrity. If you're searching for a pre-owned vehicle, Skyline Motors Auto Sales is the place to go. They truly set the standard for what a used car dealership should be, and I am beyond grateful for their exceptional service!

BUYERS BEWARE. Please do your homework before buying a car from these guys. Please read my post on Google for a better understanding of what can happen to you if you buy one of their cars.

2/17/24 I came in to buy a vehicle. They were nice and not pushy but seemed or acted to know nothing about any of the vehicles I inquired about. After trying 6-7 cars that either wouldn't start or had mold and mildew or making terrible noises after starting, I finally came to an 06 Kia optima. Took it out for a drive and everything seemed to be fine except maybe some warped rotors when slowing down and some oil spilled in the engine bay. We negotiated a "discount" and car was sold as is. After I left the dealership, I didn't even make it home when the vehicle completely broke down on me and check engine suddenly appeared, and I had to get it towed from Tacoma to Belfair. A week and a half later, my mechanic is still working on it. Every layer he goes, there's more. Besides the rotors and the oil leak is a crankshaft position and now the timing belt is missing teeth and almost snapped and has to be redone. Mechanic says that the car most likely died because it "jumped time" and that after the timing is redone and everything is put back together, it's not even guaranteed that the vehicle will still run and that there's no way they didn't know about these issues if they even looked at it for 2 seconds. I'm assuming they patched some stuff cleaned some stuff and cleared the codes long enough to reel in a sucker like me. But lesson learned. Over $1000 in towing and repairs and still haven't driven my car more than 15-20 mins. I called and pleaded my case and was offered trade in value for the car towards another vehicle Please don't be fooled by all the Christian quotes and bibles and signs in the office like I was, this place is shady to say the best. Stay far away and always bring a great mechanic with you

Engine code they cleared before selling

Hopefully whoever reads this does before they go here. I didn't check reviews but can confirm they will sell you a lemon, they are ignorant to the condition of cars they are selling. Sold my mom a car that seemed decent, as soon as she got it home I test drove it and a check engine light popped up, I test it and it has a lean code and multiple cylinder misfire. I perform a leak down test just to make sure it's not a bigger problem and what do you know. Blown head gasket. They are either choosing to be ignorant, or are shady. Either way I will never go back here

We had the absolute best experience shopping here!! David and Michael were incredibly helpful and offered excellent communication throughout the whole car buying process! Went to see a different car, test drove and ironically parked it right next to the car we bought! We love the car! It's perfect! Thing is, we deliberately chose a used car lot because we wanted a USED CAR - we chose Skyline Motors because of the selection of cars on their lot...mostly though, they were so very professional and flexible with us. We had quite a commute and they stayed until we'd arrived so we could have the chance to look around. We knew we were buying a used car so totally expected to get a used car meaning we expected there to be some getting acclimated to the new wheels and quirks of that come with buying a used vehicle. We wanted something that was within out budget and they did not disappoint. Excellent experience with these guys. Michael was so very patient with us and we appreciate him so much!! I'd definitely come back for another car for sure! My advice to folks is to ask questions about the car. Do your research on the common problems associated with the car you're interested in buying. Don't blame the dealership. They were completely honest with us!

BUY BEWARE!!!! First off EVERY car I've drove was manual. I even drive a Manual Semi. That being…read moresaid... Went to buy a 2017 Subaru crosstrek manual from them. Test drove it, and it was fine. Everything seemed well. Upon delivery I heard a BAD clicking sound! Said I would not accept this and they said they'd fix. Took the car back so they could check it out. 4 days later they called me and said they'd couldn't find anything even after driving for 100 miles. So I had to go down to check it out. They didn't drive it even 10 miles. Yes I looked at the odometer. I proceed to drive for a half hour and come back, btw their shop looks WORSE than the shop I worked at, IN THE ARMY!, and we ALL know those can be bad. After coming back and hearing the sound I stand around and wait for the "shop foreman". Rather a joke of a man. I tell him to get in, he sites right seat and I BARELY turn out of the parking space and immediately hear the sound. He looks at me confused, and I Have to tell him it's either the CV axle, or the differential, and that they need to fix. Two weeks later they tell me it's ready to go and that they not only replaced the CV axle but the transmission too. Now here I am under the car at THIS VERY MOMENT, replacing the "new" cv axle they "just did". As a mechanic myself, I know when shts been worked on, and this hasn't. Yes "maybe" they did something to the cv axle("repaired it"), but the transmission was NEVER replaced! That was a LIE! There's NO evidence they even did anything but some lock washes on some questionable bolts. If the did "replace the cv axle", why did this one fail now if it was new? Now I know what you're thinking, and YES the part numbers match on both axles! So why if this one was new(from Subaru) did it fail SO fast if this was the only one new? So there's NO doubt in my mind that they lie! The trans is NOT new, as is the axle. They LIE! So keep looking and DO NOT BUY HERE! Picture for reference on the axle. If you know mechanics, or even if you don't, explain why this happens on a "new" axle(from the manufacturer) when it's only been driven on the road and for less than 4 months and bought this VERY year! Please go somewhere else! Put these people out of business! Oh! And too the business, if you really want to dispute this with me, back date your purchase order on these parts!(because I know it didn't happen). I'm gonna want to see those! Should've asked for them in the start! But I was Too trusting. Learning myself here.

When he came home from the dealership I saw that the car was dirty, the floor of the car needed a vacuum, immediate red flag. I asked my husband why the car was dirty and he responded that they were really busy and he didn't mind cleaning it himself. I thought for an over $20,000 car this should have rolled off the lot cleaned and detailed. Days later my husband got a call that they needed further income verification, which I found odd because papers were signed and he had already driven off the lot. 3 days after this my husband took the car back to the dealership because the check engine light had been on. While on the lot they informed him that they made a mistake on his employment , they thought he was a Walmart employee, which he is, but works for Spark Drive and the dealership said the bank doesn't approve when the car is being used for deliveries etc. which is odd because at the time he signed he was approved based on his credit and income. After driving the new car for a week they had my husband return the new car and he was given his old car. During all of this I was working and was not part of the process of him buying this car however when it was time for the down payment I called and I provided the $500 down payment with my card, no problem. I have not heard of a dealership doing this before, our previous neighbors owned a car dealership and I have bought 3 cars myself. Since I was working during all of this I called the dealership myself and spoke to who my husband had been dealing with, the manager, (Kenny). It was very evident that the dealership did not cover their bases at the time of purchase. Kenny (the manager) explained how the bank doesn't approve when the car is being used for deliveries etc. which again makes no sense if your income is there. He continued to say he'd be happy to sell us a car based on my income if I wanted to be a co-signer. I informed Kenny (manager) that something wasn't right, between bringing home the car that was dirty, the calls back later for further verification, and then informing my husband that the bank no longer will finance due to the error they made on his employment, all this AFTER signing and driving off the lot, not to mention they already pocketed $500 off us, we will not be returning to this lot. The manager condescendingly and repeatedly told me he hopes "I have a fantastic day!" Well Kenny I hope you have a fantastic day as you read this review.

After the failure, multiple mechanics identified issues that I believe existed before I purchased the vehicle. I also found a vehicle history record showing a fluid leak inspection shortly before the sale. Based on my experience, I believe these concerns should have been disclosed before I bought the van. I was disappointed with how my concerns were handled and felt I had to seek help from outside agencies while trying to resolve the situation. This experience created major financial stress and delayed the start of my business. My advice to anyone considering buying a vehicle here is to have it inspected by an independent mechanic before purchasing, carefully review the vehicle history, and keep copies of all paperwork. This review reflects my personal experience. "Very disappointing experience." "I cannot recommend this dealership based on my experience." "This purchase caused serious financial hardship for my business." "I wish I had obtained an independent inspection before buying." "Buyers should be extremely careful." "Do your own inspection before signing anything." "This is my honest personal experience." "I hope no one else goes through what I did." Very, very disappointing experience. I would not recommend anyone buy a vehicle from this dealership based on my personal experience.
