Visited this place on a short visit to Salt Lake. Glad I chose this place as the only dinner spot I had time for! Went in at around 8pm, no wait since we were a party of 2. Server was very nice and attentive. We ordered the Tastes Like Burning pizza, which had a very smoked and slightly spicy flavor. The crust was doughy and crispy with a great chewiness to it. We also ordered the Pua'u Luau with pepperoni. I loved this pizza, had a great savory and slightly sweet flavor that kept a light and balanced flavor profile. To go with this, I ordered Ska, which has a slight fruitiness to it that paired really well. Great selection of draft beer, wish they had a flight so I could try more! Great selection of pizza too, crust and dough were perfect in texture, chewiness, and flavor. Would love to come back again for the food, drinks, service, and ambience! read more

The first time I came here I gave it 4/5 stars and said I'd come again. This time we ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and the California sunrise pizza and WOWZA it earned that last star all the way. I didn't get the California sunrise pizza the first time even though it's a best seller because the green goddess dressing base seemed a little weird, but boy was a wrong. It is AMAZING. Late night stop off after a birthday celebration, it's one of the few places open late in Draper. Had the salad which is big enough to share and pizza. We shared the artichoke dip which was not my favorite, but decent. Service was good, despite this place is always busy. They often have live music. I'd recommend a reservation as they are usually full, which makes the place noisy. Pizza runs around $15 for personal size, so it's in the pricier side. Good for families or adults. read more

I took my students here for lunch and I loved it. So many varieties of pizzas and my recommendation is to come with lots of friends so you can try multiple dishes. The dining experience I had at slack water was a rollercoaster. I was there with a few friends for our lunch break and we all ordered some pizza and appetizers. Our waiter, bless his heart, was doing his very best but forgot to add a couple of our pizzas and appetizers to the ticket he gave to the kitchen. He also forgot a couple drink orders as well. We got our food in the end, he was very apologetic, and we ended up having a few items comped, so everything worked out alright. The restaurant was clean and well decorated. The only minor complaint I had was the table size. The four of us felt pretty squeezed in despite it being a four-person table. Other than that, it was a great experience. read more

A standard waitlist experience. Can't reserve for two people so can't plan ahead easily to arrive at same time. If you don't arrive at the exact same time you can't get on a list and end up waiting an hour for a table. It's fantastic! I've liked every pizza and calzone I've tried. They have fair pricing and its delicious. The service I've received over the handful of times I've been has never been lacking. Sometimes, they have live music. That's cool, though it quickly becomes overwhelming to me. Take that with a grain of salt because I am particularly sensitive to noise. read more

I really like Slackwater and let me preface this by saying I know and understand people are busy and it's hard to get folks on waitlists based on who/what time you're wanting to be on. I just called when I was told to call at 10:50 am because someone who I spoke to there let me know to call at this time as the host would be there. I sadly was already getting told they couldn't put me on a waitlist because of the time and then was told that even when I called at 11 (open time), they couldn't put my on a waitlist. Slackwater was very good. The music they played was great and the restaurant was very pretty. The pizza was really good. The crust is a lot thinner than what I'm used too, but it was still good! Zach was a very attentive server and has tried most of the menu and gave us great suggestions... so happy I ordered his suggestion, the Hot Honey Dp pizza. It's a pepperoni pizza, three cheeses, drizzled with honey. I normally don't get meat pizzas but it was delicious and not too heavy. Although it said double pepperoni, it was light on that and small ones. My daughter ordered the Hulk which was one of their green goddess dressing based ones. It's always crowded and you should expect to have a wait pretty much any evening. If you are thinking ahead, though, you can join the waitlist from Yelp and it'll save you a fair bit of time. The last time we went our table was ready when we walked in -- no wait at all! The interior is a cool set-up: a bar to the right and normal dining to the left. Tables are full of families, couples on date night, and friends having a casual dinner. Lots of TV around so you can watch the game while having a drink and some wings. As you'd expect from a restaurant/bar, it's noisy. Don't come here expecting to have a serious conversation. The pizza is pretty solid. It's a little bit like a cross between a fast casual place like Mod and a traditional wood-fired spot like Settebello. They are personal size -- enough to fill you up and, for most kids, enough to take some leftovers home. Toppings are interesting and pretty high quality. read more

I don't know. The is place was alright. The servers not great. The food was pretty good. The room itself is very welcoming and well appointed. Aesthetically it's a real gem sitting in the middle of nowhere which makes it feel kinda special. Food and service are generally paramount to me but here both were only kinda lacking, yet I enjoyed myself. I'll surely do it again. It's always ashamed to me when something feels like it's going to be great and then is only ok. But I'll take ok . Every experience can't be golden, but I think they are on to something good here.
