This was a fun atmosphere with live band and huge beer menu. The pizza was great, the crust was good. The waitress was friendly and helpful and gave good beer suggestions. We went at 5:45 and it was a 25 minute wait and they text you when your table is ready. At 7:30 there was a huge waiting line outside but they have fire pits for warm mingling. read more

I come here a lot to celebrate my birthday. I ordered the you'll be stuffed sticks as an appetizer and a margarita pizza made calzone style. So good!! The crust on the pizza was great and the sauce is a big compliment to the dish. Service is great!! They are always able to refill your water and check in very often. We went to Slackwater for a date on a Saturday night. We wait about 20 minutes for our server. We asked a gal cleaning up another table if she knew who our server was and she said she said she had no idea? We also were at a wobbly table, which is an easy fix if we would have gotten service or some acknowledgment. We finally got greeted by our server, who seemed to be having a rough day and was not eager to take our order. We had asked for some recommendations and he had told us whatever you think is fine. We liked the vibe of the restaurant but the service was sub par. Our first impression, we were let down and we won't be going back. I was way surprised when I found out that Slackwater was coming to Sandy. I've enjoyed the Ogden location for years but only occasionally as that's a bit north from me. The beer selection is among the best in the state, right up there with The Bayou. The pizza and other menu selections are also fantastic. The quality at this new location seems to match the original restaurant after my first visit. Outdoor patio looks like it will be way nice come next year. read more

Yes they're always busy but their food has always been consistently delicious and prepared as ordered. The Yelp wait list has actually been accurate as well and can put your name on prior to leaving the house which is an added plus. Efficiency and less crowding and waiting around the entrance of a restaurant these days is such a relief. The service has been prompt, attentive and friendly as well, although the hostess staff could use a little work. Haven't had anything we didn't like there yet. My favorites are the pizzas and their homemade ranch dressing is their best kept secret. Now the service. The hostesses are seriously the worst. They are on their phones, don't acknowledge people coming in the door and don't understand how to manage the open seats. The servers were mediocre. I asked for something four times, yet never received it, yet they came to the table often. All in all, plan on a long visit with okay food.
