This place is pretty cool actually we went for the first time for my brother's 20th birthday and he wasn't too excited because he didn't think it was going to be that great and he ended up having a blast . Our entire group did! Who knew throwing an axe would be so fun. The horror theme inside totally fits the experience and just makes it all the more fun. Our "camp counselor" Gabby D was great when it came to explaining everything too. She taught us all the safe ways to hold the axe and how to properly throw which totally helps when actually having to throw it at the target. She also hung around for a minute or two in the beginning just to make sure we all got it down and then she gave us our space and let us do our thing. read more

We arrived 10 minutes later than our reservation and were expecting to have a shorter session because we were late. However, the team was very accommodating and gave us the full hour to throw axes at the various games. I was impressed with the ambiance and horror theme of the location. They have a lot of axe-throwing lanes and a full bar. They even have different styles of axes to try at each lane so you can see which style works best for you. This place is a 5 star on every category! They have an amazing atmosphere it's as if you're in a spooky cabin in the woods w some horror icons that need some Axe'n lol. I booked this place for a company team building event & they were very patient and accommodating for me and my team. They were very sweet and answered all my questions, like the spongebob saying "never deny a guest even the most ridiculous request" lol but we had so much fun, we got to do 1 hour throwing how ever we wanted and then the next hour was a tournament! The tournament was completely ran by the slashers camp leader, they set up a 1v1 until the last two & even give you a complimentary prize from them! It was very safe and there are many staff watching and even helping you if you'd like for a better form. Overall such an amazing experience, i've never been axe throwing and this was my first time. i think if i ever went anywhere else it'd just not compare! the adverseness of the whole venue is unbeatable. If you're looking for an AWESOME experience Slashers is definitely the place for you! First of all you walk in and you immediately feel like you've entered this super cool horror movie. The ambiance is amazing. Once you get checked in your "camp counselor" tells you the rules and gives some great tips on how to handle and throw to the various size axes. I was super nervous because I had never done it before. But our counselor made me feel super confident and did a great job explaining techniques. While you're there you can enjoy some fun snacks and enjoy a beer. Most of the beers that they offer are from some great local breweries . All in all it's a GREAT experience. As soon as you walk in you catch the vibe, dim light dark colors and horror decor throughout, my group of 4 came as walk in and the lady at the front desk was super welcoming and helpful once she explained the options and cost she got us checked in and set up with our trainer. the place is clean it offers snacks and drinks but what is really cool it they will let you have food delivered. After going over some techniques and safety protocols they let you do your own this but stay close enough to step In and offer some advice or recommendations. I was a little hesitant that I wouldn't have a good time since axe throwing reminded me a little bit of bowling. I thought it would get repetitive and would be over it after a few throws. I was wrong! First of all, who doesn't love scary movies! From the parking lot, to the handles of the entrance door, the atmosphere of this place takes you to a whole new location, Camp Slashers! Camp Counselor Georgia was a slay! She made sure we were happy but spooky campers! Very patient with us since it was our first time. My boyfriend was a haunt mess and kept missing but Georgia was right there to teach us her ways! I can't remember the bartenders name (I'm sorry) but she was also so nice and gave us great recommendations for drinks! They were so good & affordable! Except for the eyeball I found at the bottom of my drink! Lol What made the axe throwing fun were the mini games! That definitely made the experience fresh and exciting since there were different ways to go about the throwing! I had never thrown an axe before (outside of a video game), but our "camp counselor" Amanda gave us some good pointers beforehand, and now I'm starting to feel less nervous about the forthcoming zombie apocalypse! It's nice that you get your choice of 3 different weight axes--the big fire axe gives an impressive thunk, but the medium hatchet worked best for me in terms of actual aiming. I didn't know that they were going to have projected games, but they add a lot of variety--my favorite was the Match 3 type game. The games are honor-system self-scoring, so it helps to start with a basic agreement among the players, like "If the blade is stuck across 2 areas of the projected dart board, where do we count it?" We may have made it too hard on ourselves by not counting hits in Battleship if the blade was stuck in the water NEXT to the boat. read more

Last weekend, my gfs and I came here to celebrate my birthday. No one in my group had done ax throwing before. When we arrived, we were brought to two lanes for a group of four. The lady, I'm assuming is Amanda, provided very brief instructions. After a minute, she told us we could get started. Being it was our first time, it took us a few tries. Each time we went, she stopped us immediately and corrected us in the most condescending manner. She ended up giving us some space and watched us from behind, clearly watching us like a hawk as we saw her staring at us each time we retrieved our ax to go back to the starting line. Mind you, the Dodgers World Series was playing on the big screen so we were going between ax throwing and pausing to watch the game. Because the venue was extremely dark, one time I went for my turn and when I retrieved my ax for my next throw, I see one of the girls run towards me and said that I was suspended from throwing because she had already warned me that I had to pick up the previously thrown ax that's on the floor before getting the second. I apologized and said that I didn't see an ax on the floor and said that I don't remember her warning me the first time and she argued that she just told me. I'm a 40 something year old so I'm not going to argue and make a scene. So I just told my friend that I couldn't play anymore because of what she said. My friend asked the lady to clarify the rules but the lady was condescending and said she already told us the rules. After trying to get a manager to clarify the rules, Amanda had the nerve to call the cops on us and claim that one of us hit her. That is beyond absurd!! We never touched her or even got close. We are professionals and aren't that type of people. The police came and talked to us outside and said it was such a frivolous call. We were promised that a manager would call us on Monday but that never happened. I would imagine that if I was the employer and my worker told me that they were hit, they would automatically call us back or would have forced the cops to book us but they knew it was such a lie. After we left, never remotely causing a scene, my friends and I talked and we found out that one of my friends was warned before I was. Clearly, it shows that they couldn't tell the difference between us Asians and when the worker claimed she gave me a warning prior, it was to my friend, not me! I do not recommend this place and I'll be reporting to the BBB. I hate making any discrimination claims but this reeks of it. Do NOT go to Slashers Ax Throwing, absolutely horrid business. read more

Couldn't Axe for a better night out! My husband and I enjoyed the heck out of Slashers. So much fun and it was very helpful to get a quick lesson by one of the camp counselors beforehand. The bar was had a great tap list and the house blonde was just delicious. You can't get better decor and theming and it was fun from the moment I walked in the front door to the moment I left.
