Family in town for the holidays and went for a weekday lunch. Quick wait, only about 15 minutes, with convenient text for seating. Waters and ordered all around. The wait for the food, however, was a bit long. I lost track of time but I probably could have delivered the meals faster at home. Sandwiches and pancakes are a quick an easy. Ingredients are great, but could have been less conservative. The Buzzy Grilled Cheese had a taste of turkey. Lots of cheese and yummy fig. Salad was basic. The kids enjoyed their pancakes. Only went to this location I gotta say I was surprised how fresh it tasted!We don't normally do brunch however this is where I'd definitely and for sure visit more frequently.It's full of fresh rich flavor and so different than other chain restaurants.You know when they ask you 'how you like you food' and u always say it's good even it's not? Well this is not the case, give me 2 or 3 more I'll still eat it. Their coffee though, I always get house coffee when I go out. Worth a stop. I had brunch on a weekend morning and it was packed. Most of the menu seemed standard and unoriginal. I sat at the bar and had the Broakley which was very good; I enjoyed the sprouts. So fresh and nutty in flavor and quite filling. Today was blueberry bee cakes and their thick sliced bacon. I had 3 cakes with plump juicy blueberries and a generous slathering of honey butter (and yummy syrup of course). Their omelets are always delicious and I love their roasted root vegetables! My dining experience was just "ok" unfortunately. I enjoy trying different places other than your traditional national chain breakfast joints. At the onset I thought this place would fit the bill. Nice atmosphere and decor. Kind of a hipster vibe. My server, I must say, was very professional, pleasant, and attentive. When she asked if I was satisfied with my meal I let her know that it would have been better had it been hot. She immediately offered to have my Build Your Own omelette and Hive fries over again. I declined and pushed through the lukewarm meal since I needed to be going soon. I read about the long waits on the weekend but this was a Monday after Christmas, no lines no wait. I drive past this place every weekend and there is ALWAYS a line out the door. I had heard good things and finally decided to try it. We went on a Sunday morning at 9am and were told the wait would be 25 minutes. They do have a self serve coffee bar which is nice while you wait (but I don't drink coffee so I'm not sure how it tastes). We only waited about 15 minutes until we were seated. I decided on the Greek omelet while my friend ordered a smoothie and the bacon omelet. My omelet was good (they used a little too much oil) but the roasted root veggies took the show! Roasted sweet potatoes, purple potatoes, and carrots. So good! My friend enjoyed his smoothie and his omelet as well. I would go back again but I don't think I would wait over an hour. The pancakes looked great, as did the special. Anywhere that has sriracha already on the table gets 2 thumbs up from me! read more

This restaurant should definitely be called the "busy bee," because it's always packed! Especially if you come during prime hours, expect to be crowded into a busy foyer while you wait for your table. That being said, there is a reason the wait is so long. The Oakley location has wonderful decor, but the tables are a little packed together. I'm always excited when we are seated in the back room where it tends to be a little roomier. If you are a pancake fan, they have some of the best buttermilk pancakes I've ever had. I always go for a plain buttermilk pancake (because I'm boring like that), but if you're an apple fan, definitely try the apple cakes. My other favorite menu items are the omelettes (which you can get egg white only, big plus) and the Queen City Bee, which is a breakfast sandwich. When I was pregnant I would always order this with scrambled egg- so if raw egg isn't your thing, know that scrambled egg is an option. Everything I've tried on the menu is great; my only disappointment is the coffee. I love a good latte with brunch, but I think their coffee has a bit too much milk for my taste. But maybe that's just my personal preference. Overall, I would definitely give Sleepy Bee a visit if you're in the area and looking for a nice brunch location! read more

This was my first time here, pretty busy we had to wait 30 minutes for a table for 4. The waiting area was located in the back, pretty small area and the restaurant has 2 restrooms that are unisex. We had omelettes and sunny side up eggs. My step son and daughter had the smoothies with bee pollen (don't recall the name). The food was average, very friendly service, our server was excellent! Sleepy Bee is a solid brunch spot. Our friends really like to go here when they're in town. But honestly I feel that it's losing it's appeal. A few years ago I would've said the food here was amazing. I hadn't been somewhere with such fresh ingredients. The pancakes were especially good and other menu items were very unique. But the past few times it's seemed that the quality has suffered a bit. The food doesn't seem as fresh or flavorful. The more we've been the more I've realized that $12 for just a couple pancakes is a little bit crazy. After a side and some coffee you're looking at $20 for brunch, and $20 will get you a crazy good brunch somewhere else. While I feel like the food isn't as good, this place is still crazy busy. Wait times on the weekends get very long. They are on the No Wait app which I highly recommend if you plan to go. The other thing with this location is that parking is kind of a pain. The last time we visited we had to park in the residential neighborhood a few streets away because there was just nothing any closer. I still think Sleepy Bee is good and wouldn't oppose to going in the future, but it's not my first pick anymore. They've lost a bit of their wow factor and there are too many other great options in town. read more

We had a party of 5 and was told there wasn't a table to accommodate our party.
