TL:DR - Go, you'll have fun, great concept, great food, great service, great price. When I first heard about this place, I thought "what a great concept, and what an even better name." I had a few concerns, a place like this that is concept heavy is usually not great on the food, they focus more on the concept. My partner and I went last night. Place was fairly busy, with groups of families, as well as all adults. Order at the counter, as I expected. Partner ordered a small meatlovers and I ordered a small Hawaiian. We both went thin crust. At the last minute I saw cheese covered breadsticks and gave in to my weakness. At this point the employee mentioned that this would be a lot of food and unless we intentionally wanted leftovers they could do one medium pizza half and half and it would be significantly cheaper. Took them up on that suggestion and they were right, it was still a lot of food - with drinks and a 20 percent tip under $30. Pizza was very good, but those breadsticks were the stuff of legends. Big enough to be a meal for 2 in and of themselves. The games selection to play while eating was quite nice and varied from adult party, strategy, family friendly, and even games for 1 player. Employees were happy to recommend games and even teach us how to play. Oh, and the ska music in the background was a nice little extra for a rudeboy like me. Overall just a fun night out. read more

Went in for a quick look and ended up staying to play a few rounds of a dice game with the family. Seems like everyone there was entertained with their own selection of games. They have many choices for all ages. From simple to complicated. The staff is knowledgable on helping to teach or assistance if gamers get stuck or have a question. Food was good. For this area the pizza was fine. Ordered online for pick up, when I arrived the pie was just coming out of the oven. It was a busy Friday evening about 6pm. Was a bit confused because every table was occupied yet there was an area dedicated to board games and other stuff. In my mind I thought the area was misused, who am I to say... The pizza was well topped and the crust was similar to early Pizza Hut, very substantial. The place looked clean and well managed. Good thin crust pizza is difficult to find close to where I live, I just may start making my own. In the meantime when the craving hits I may come back here. read more

So my kiddo was telling me that her new favorite pizza joint was called Slice & Dice. She's a simple pepperoni or cheese pizza gal. Apparently this pizzeria won a place in her heart. She told me if I ever decide to try the place that I should also order the breadsticks. I'm not much of a breadsticks person (OK, sometimes I am, depends on the mood). Well, I was craving a pizza so I ordered a small supreme pizza (yes, I looove my meats & veggies) and the stuffed mushrooms appetizer. Wow! The stuffed mushrooms were sooo good! I then took a bite into a slice of the supreme pizza and I knew then that this place is going to be a keeper for me. Sure, me love some Domino's pizza once in awhile but if I'm being honest, I'd much rather support a local restaurant and this one is definitely going to get my money for the long haul. This place is pretty neat considering the concept. They have a very large array of games to choose from. This was particularly the reason that we came to Slice and Dice. It was to be a birthday evening celebration of food and fun and we were definitely able to make that happen. Truth be told, a lot of food was ordered for the five of us. Two large pizzas, cheesy bread, a meatball sub along with two of their desserts. After browsing the shelves of games we came across a box of Cards Against Humanity and started a highly competitive game! The pizza's were generously filled with toppings and maybe a bit too much cheese in my opinion. Or maybe there was too much sauce and the dough was a bid on the tough side. I wasn't too impressed apparently. The two desserts were tasty; a rice crispy treat and a brownie both drizzled with caramel and chocolate sauce. Although, I must add that I paid $15 for the two desserts and one alcoholic beverage. A little steep considering the size of the desserts. I am only giving three stars as I was not smitten with the price of the food given the quality, but the place is a lot of fun. The food was pretty decent -- we got the buratta salad, Hawaiian pizza, and pizza of the month, which was roasted sweet potato, caramelized onion, spinach, feta, and mozzarella. The real star, however, was the games and overall atmosphere. They had a great selection of games to play for free while eating and everyone in the restaurant seemed to be having a blast. Lets start with the fact that the Blanco is on the short list of our favorite pizzas in town currently. From there, we will tell of the absolute joy of stuffed mushrooms. Along with the sausage, onions and peppers, those mushrooms are stuffed with plenty of love. The end result is a hot, savory treat that our mouths adored. We've also decided that the Burrata and Spinach is one of the finest appetizers ever created. The food is fairly simple: pizza, sandwiches, bread sticks, etc, but all good. I went out on a limb on my last visit and tried their stuffed mushrooms which were surprisingly good. They also have an modest list of local brew on tap or in cans/bottles. Being right next door to Tractor brewing, I'm surprised they don't have some type of arrangement with them? But what sets this place apart are the games. They have dozens (maybe hundreds) of board games to play. They also have a full-time game host, who helps explain how most games are played, so it's easier to try something new. We've been here 3-4 times, always on weekday evening, and they're usually busy. This is a great place to take the family, eat some pizza, and play some board games. We definitely had a great time there today and we were there for about 2 hours. The staff was very friendly and even explained how to play a new game we had never played before. They have a pretty decent selection of games, about two large book cases worth so there are games for various ages and various interests. We had our 7 year old and 4 year old with us and they were both very entertained. In terms of the food...I would say it was okay, nothing fancy and not exceptional but it was decently priced and you don't pay extra to play the games like some of the other boardgame establishments, so that is cool. I will say though that if the pizza was amazing then that would take this place to the next level. But again, it was very affordable and still edible and my kids ate it, so still very much worth it. The only slightly odd thing was that they gave us our salad but didn't give us forks so we had to get our own forks. And then the same thing happened with our pizza, they gave us our pizza but didn't give us any plates so then we had to get our own plates too. Just slightly odd that they would make you get your own utensils but bring your food to you, but maybe the waitress was new or something. This is a really unique and fun restaurant and a great place to spend the day if it's rainy, too hot, or just have a laid back day with the family. First of all, this place is great! We love on the Eastside and decided to take the trip to go check it out. Our family loves board games! We brought a couple extra kiddos bringing our total party to 7. The staff was great and helped us choose games. Our 6 year olds were able to pick kids games to play together while the rest of us were able to play other games that our teens enjoyed. The pizza is good, reminded us of old school Pizza Hut. Salads were tasty and they serve beer. My only complaint is that we ordered a large cheese pizza and they put pepperoni on it. The pizza was half gone by the time we noticed. My son is a vegetarian so he was pretty sad but thankfully his sister had some pineapple pizza and he had some of that. Without this slip up, it would've been 5 stars. This place is a true hit! We tried it on a late Friday afternoon before the after work crowd hit, and we absolutely loved it!! We were looking for something good to eat after visiting someone at the Rust Hospital, and this place sure hits the spot, and honestly the games help cheer people up! There are so many games to choose from, it's almost overwhelming! I will say they have an A+ staff! If you are looking lost in the game section, they immediately come to your rescue! The staff we talked to suggested games, explained the rules, and even came back to help us! Even if you look a little confused, they will explain the game all over again and answer any question! They are super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable! Also, on the bright side, they keep the stuff clean! Staff will inspect and reorganize the games once you are done playing with it! They also have laminated the paper pieces and instructions so they don't get dirty, but along with that, they also provide wet wipes so you can wipe your hands while playing! The food here is also a delicious aspect! The sandwich was probably hands down one of the best ones I've had in a long time!! The pizza is piping hot and it's like super tasty! The salad is also delicious and isn't just a bowl of lettuce!!! If you want a fun dining experience, and some yummy eats, give this place a try! I can't wait to return! There are so many games I want to try!! I also want to give their desserts a try too!! Today was Slice and Dice Pizzeria's soft opening. When we walked in around 2 p.m. the place was packed full of families enjoying pizza and games. There are so many games here, most I have never heard of, but you definitely won't be bored here! The setup for ordering is you order at the counter, they give you your drinks there and bring out your food. Refills and things like plasticware are gotten at the counter. Trained games people are on staff, happy to help with an explanation of the games or with deciphering how you play that particular game. They have someone that checks out the games when you return them to make sure all the pieces are there and that nothing's greasy. You can then take out another game. They helpfully include wet-naps on every table so that keeping your hands clean is easy. This pizzeria is located next to Tractor Brewery on the corner of Unser & McMahon NW between the CVS and the McDonald's. They offer beer and if you want something they don't have, Tractor Brewery is right next door. They also deliver food to Tractor since the brewery doesn't do food. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and a medium thin crust pepperoni, mushroom and onion pizza. The mushrooms were a little watery, as mushrooms sometimes are, but the filling was great. We suggested that maybe they put a small slice in the bottom of the mushroom so some of the excess water can drain out. The pizza had very good flavor and really hit the spot. Employees were friendly, very eager to help and seemed excited to have everyone there. I was impressed with the staff and the number of times we were checked on. I can't remember the last time I walked into a restaurant that sounded like this one. People were laughing, chatting and not only enjoying their kids and the food, but the games. This is not one of those stuffy "sit down and be quiet kids" restaurants, which is awesome! What a great atmosphere! I think this will quickly become a neighborhood favorite. I was steered to a Facebook post by a local friend who said these guys were giving out yeast on request with your order. It's the middle of a pandemic and I'm baking to keep sane. I ran out of yeast so this was such a great deal for me. I ordered the Blanco Pizza. In this case it came topped with spinach and artichokes and Mascarpone. Uh yummm. The order took just the time for me to drive up and was delivered, hot, to my car by a masked and gloved agent of doom to my waistline. First time trying this place due to the yelp reviews. The good the salads are good have that homemade quality to them. The balsamic dressing was pretty good too. It could have used a third container of dressing but that's my preference you can add another for less than a dollar. The pizza - I just got a plain cheese with extra sauce which was a dollar up charge. However when I got the pizza it was basically sauce less made me wonder if they read less sauce instead of extra sauce. The pizza itself reminded me of a combination of little caesars, chuckie cheese, and pizza you grab at a gas stations that's been spinning in the case all day but worse when you combine all three. It was also pretty small for a medium but we didn't end up eating it anyways. I might come back when restaurants open again to try the white pizza I forget what it's called but I tend to doubt it. read more
