New York Steamer. Savory sub that's not too messy yet flavorful especially with the corned beef and pastrami combo. Any preferred hot sauce is a good compliment to the sub. Same with the pickle. Could they've made the sub bigger? Sure, still good as is.

We have never been to Firehouse subs. We were pleasantly greeted by Sammy. He was so nice and willing to assist. He gave good suggestions. Shared the most popular item on the menu. We had the Turkey Sandwich with Pepper Jack. The sandwich was delicious. The bread was fresh. The store was not busy since we went during the week. Because during an off time the store was peaceful and quiet. Plus we didn't wait too long for our sandwich. Because of Sammy we will be back. Thank you for your service.

Engineer sandwich has a nice taste with the meat, cheese, and toasted bread. Firehouse Steak & Cheese has a nice flavor with avocado and toasted bread. Avocado pair nicely with the cheese when eaten together. The service was quick and only took about 10-15 minutes to complete after ordering. There is a cashier and kiosk option to order upon arrival. They have outdoor seatings and limited indoor seatings.

I was excited to see they now have FIREHOUSE SUBS upstairs in the food court. This is my go to for a GREAT sub. My fave is always their CLUB ON A SUB. It's a ham, turkey and bacon sandwich with the works. * If you like hot sandwiches this one is a must try. See pic for reference. 10/10

By far the best sub place I've ever had. We've been going to another location which is a bit of a drive for us and it's nice that this one is in CityWalk. Just sucks if you want to get a quick bite from here but not have to deal with parking and all that. Absolutely delicious and the worker was very nice. I ended up getting my usual, Engineer and although I ate it about an hour or so later, it was still amazing. Love the texture of the toppings mixed with the softness of the bread. The restaurant was clean and empty. They had an easily accessible pick up window as well. Great music playing and super chill vibes. Lots of places to sit around here, inside and outside. This is basically a treat for us since it's not as easily accessible but definitely can't wait to come back! IG: @ammysalamii

Located on the second level in City Walk. The place is small no indoor dining. Their sandwiches are freshly made on warm toasted bread. I got the hook & ladder which is good Turkey, Ham and cheese. The guy working today was cool and bubbly. Overall good sandwiches here i would recommend this for a quick meal if you don't want to eat inside Universal.

We picked up dinner here on our way back into the park one evening. I'd never eaten Firehouse subs before, but had heard great things from Gluten free IG influencers. I was excited to try and was not disappointed! This was the best GF bun/roll that I've ever had! I like that they label the items, so there's no guessing which sandwich belongs to who. Can't wait to eat again at one locally. Wish there was one closer in my area.

my friends were like did you order the engineer because you are going to be an engineer. haha you're so funny! no! i saw mushrooms were in it and i LOVEEEE mushrooms so i knew i had to try. i don't know why i got firehouse subs when i have firehouse subs at home already. i should've tried something that i wouldn't have access to in oc but oh well. i was gonna get the poki store next door but then i stepped out of line and then like three girls instantly came in and there was only one person working the register and making the food. like bro i am NOT getting my food. so i walked into empty firehouse subs instead. the sub came out pretty quick and it was an awesome sub. but the price was not awesome. $20 for a large is legit crazy like it's just a sandwich bro. granted, it's a good sandwich. but still i was flabbergasted. the taste was five stars but i probably was just a starving mf. i had firehouse subs like 6 years ago for the first time and my dad got me the best sub in my life but i asked him if he remembered what it was and then we got it again like two years ago but it was mid af. maybe i should try the whole menu again to find out what it was. but honestly the engineer was pretty good. but i don't recall it to be the mindnumbingly awesome amazing sub i tasted six years ago but my six year ago self was probably not reliable and my memory could possibly be faulty. this is a 4.5 star rounded down because i'm salty about inflation.

    Yay! They Are open

We grabbed two breakfast sandwiches, one with bacon and one without, and both were standout in their own way. The first thing you notice? These sandwiches come out piping hot, wrapped tight and ready to go. Crack them open and you're hit with perfectly cooked eggs and an almost ridiculous amount of gooey, melted cheese. Not skimpy, not balanced, loaded in the best possible way. The Kaiser roll deserves its own shoutout: lightly toasted with just enough crunch on the outside while staying soft and pillowy inside. It holds everything together without getting soggy, even with all that cheese. * The meat version had crispy, flavorful bacon layered just right, salty, smoky, and not overdone. * The meatless one didn't feel like a compromise at all, still rich, filling, and honestly just as indulgent thanks to the cheese and eggs. No frills, no gimmicks, just classic deli breakfast sandwiches executed really well. Bottom line: If you want a hot, cheesy, perfectly toasted breakfast sandwich that actually hits the spot, Paulie's is a win. I can't wait to go back for lunch!

The Downtown Turkey (my choice) is pretty basic (which was fine by me) but it was very dry and I only had half, leaving with a stomachache for the rest of the afternoon. My dining companion had the Penne Alla Vodka which she really liked. I didn't get to try any, but if a pasta dish is the winner from a deli, well, enough said. A while back, Yelp listed this as a business to try. I'd saved this for the next time I was in Studio City. My entire feeling while heading home was "I drove all the way over here for this?!"

Dropped by on a weekend and had to park on the street like normal anywhere in LA. We walked down the street to find a very, very busy cafe and super packed but that's a sign, right? Absolutely. 100%. We hopped in line to order and a girl from afar complimented our pokemon shirts lol immediately put a smile on my face. We ordered and the drinks came out pretty quick! Got the Saint Latte and Pistachio Latte and let me tell you. This is hands down the best pistachio latte I've ever had!! Super creamy and the strongness was perfect. They have lots of seating inside and out but we enjoyed ours to go (went to hang out at universal studios for the day). Great spot and can't wait to visit again!! IG: @ammysalamii

My husband and I came on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all, although almost all the pastries were already sold out, so I'm guessing the real rush is in the mornings. Overall, I personally wasn't a fan, mainly because the drinks and most of the food felt pretty underwhelming and lacked flavor. I ordered the strawberry matcha and it was honestly the most bland matcha I've had, which is surprising considering there was strawberry puree in it. It didn't taste low quality, just very muted and not something I'd order again, especially since I get matcha (and strawberry matcha) pretty often elsewhere. My husband got the pistachio latte and liked it, but mentioned it leaned a bit too sweet for his taste. For food, we tried the breakfast bagel and I genuinely can't believe how bland it was. It had all the components you'd expect, everything bagel, eggs, cheese, aioli, bacon, and more, but somehow it just fell flat. I kept wanting to add salt or some kind of sauce to bring it to life. I actually stopped eating it because it didn't feel worth it to keep going for something so flavorless. The one highlight was the spinach quiche. I really enjoyed it and would come back for that specifically, although it did feel a little pricey for what it was. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but if someone else wanted to go, I wouldn't object.

The salmon salad is my personal favorite and I order it constantly, but the avocado toast deserves its own moment. I brought a friend recently who said "avocado toast always tastes the same" -- and I told her not here. She understood immediately on her first bite. It is bursting with flavor in a way that has no business being as good as it is. I mean, it's bread, avocado, some cheese, fresh basil.... but it SINGS! The desserts are delicious, the server recommendations are genuinely solid (they actually know the menu and steer you right), and the service overall is warm and attentive. Special shoutout to Miles, who is always a joy and makes you feel genuinely welcomed every time.
