This has officially become my new favorite sub spot! My husband and I shared a large Engineer, and I happily devoured my half. (Though he swears mine was a little bigger than his, haha) The Engineer is loaded with smoked turkey breast, Swiss cheese, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and mustard and it's such a great combo. It's located upstairs at CityWalk where most of the quick eats are, with plenty of outdoor seating. We stopped by on a Sunday evening before a movie at AMC, and our sandwich came out fast and fresh. Everything was delicious, even the pickle on the side was perfectly crunchy. Wish they had more locations in the SGV since we don't make it to CityWalk too often. read more

Ehhhhh we just might not be a Firehouse family. I was given coupon for a free sub, so the price was right. :) After a day at Universal Studios I thought this would be the perfect meal to end the day. We chose a simple turkey sub. It was for my kids, so my daughter chose to get it with just turkey, cheese, lettuce, and salt and pepper. They were really nice to offer to put the tomato and onions on the side so my son could have that on his half. When we got the sandwich we noticed that it was warm. My son immediately said he wasn't feeling it. My daughter took a couple bites then said she was out as well. She couldn't to the warm turkey. I thought they were being picky. So I went to eat the rest of the sandwich. Well, I was able to eat it. But I just wasn't feeling it either. The bread got soggy, and the combo of warm meat and cold veggies just didn't go well for me. Then the turkey wasn't full slices, it was more like chopped up pieces of turkey? The store was clean and well maintained. The staff working there was friendly and accommodating. I'll have to go back and try a sandwich that is supposed to be warm I guess? We have never been to Firehouse subs. We were pleasantly greeted by Sammy. He was so nice and willing to assist. He gave good suggestions. Shared the most popular item on the menu. We had the Turkey Sandwich with Pepper Jack. The sandwich was delicious. The bread was fresh. The store was not busy since we went during the week. Because during an off time the store was peaceful and quiet. Plus we didn't wait too long for our sandwich. Because of Sammy we will be back. Thank you for your service. read more

By far the best sub place I've ever had. We've been going to another location which is a bit of a drive for us and it's nice that this one is in CityWalk. Just sucks if you want to get a quick bite from here but not have to deal with parking and all that. Absolutely delicious and the worker was very nice. I ended up getting my usual, Engineer and although I ate it about an hour or so later, it was still amazing. Love the texture of the toppings mixed with the softness of the bread. The restaurant was clean and empty. They had an easily accessible pick up window as well. Great music playing and super chill vibes. Lots of places to sit around here, inside and outside. I ordered the Jamaican jerk chicken and I was not pleased. It lacked flavor and was poorly put together. Maybe because it's the weekday and laziness but my boyfriends sandwich had onions that were so big from lack of cutting them down. This is located upstairs from city walk so the ambiance on a weekday is cool for June afternoon. Make sure to bring napkins to clean the table tops off and everyone around here is pretty quiet so makes for a chill environment. Overall I give this place 2.5 stars out of 5 just for the lack of serving the food nicely and preparing to well. Yummy! I really loved their sandwiches especially the one with pastrami. Very good although I wish there would be more sauce added. Service was remarkable the gentleman was very kind in explaining to me how big the sandwiches and he was right I was going to get a small. Normally I really enjoy getting a Firehouse Sub before getting to the park. So this time I ordered online so it'd be ready by the time I got there. Unfortunately, the subs didn't come with any of the add ons I requested and I asked for light mayo, it was loaded with mayo. When I requested my add ons, I was served on the side which wasn't a problem, but even then they still missed some items, but I was hungry so I didn't bother going to the booth a second time. my friends were like did you order the engineer because you are going to be an engineer. haha you're so funny! no! i saw mushrooms were in it and i LOVEEEE mushrooms so i knew i had to try. i don't know why i got firehouse subs when i have firehouse subs at home already. i should've tried something that i wouldn't have access to in oc but oh well. i was gonna get the poki store next door but then i stepped out of line and then like three girls instantly came in and there was only one person working the register and making the food. like bro i am NOT getting my food. so i walked into empty firehouse subs instead. the sub came out pretty quick and it was an awesome sub. but the price was not awesome. $20 for a large is legit crazy like it's just a sandwich bro. granted, it's a good sandwich. but still i was flabbergasted. the taste was five stars but i probably was just a starving mf. i had firehouse subs like 6 years ago for the first time and my dad got me the best sub in my life but i asked him if he remembered what it was and then we got it again like two years ago but it was mid af. maybe i should try the whole menu again to find out what it was. but honestly the engineer was pretty good. but i don't recall it to be the mindnumbingly awesome amazing sub i tasted six years ago but my six year ago self was probably not reliable and my memory could possibly be faulty. this is a 4.5 star rounded down because i'm salty about inflation. read more

After a long day at universal my family loved our sandwiches from firehouse subs. The food quality is amazing and easy on the wallet especially for a theme park area. The restaurant is very clean inside and has a cool firehouse theme, great for kids if you they like firefighting. My son got a free hat which he loved!
