We were tired from driving into the resort, grocery shopping, and unloading. When we walked in, the place was buzzing. A group of 6 was waiting to be seated, and 2 other couples were ahead of us. We were really close to leaving, but the busboy told us we could have food in 15 minutes, so we stayed. Our waiter, Tono, was fantastic. He got us bread ( WARM!!) , butter, extra bread (Also warm!!). We had the spinach salad with a delicious honey Mustard dressing. It hit the spot. The star of the show was the penne with marinara with Italian sausage. The marinara was to die for!! My wife is part Italian, so we have become pasta "critics". The sauce was HOT, super tomatoey, with a touch of sweetness!! There were so many pieces of sausage that the penne almost looked like an after thought!! Best pasta we have ever had in Palm Desert!! We were done and out in record time!! Absolutely delicious NY style pizza, the crust was chewy and yeasty, the sauce homemade taste, generous amount of cheese, and my take-out pizza was ready in 10 minutes. We have getting take out here for years. The place has gone downhill. It was terrible!!! We won't be back. They changed the Cesar dressing and it's generic tasting. The worst part was the pizza. The pizza fries are crazy and delicious! You need to give them a try! We got a cheese pizza for the vegetarians in our family and then got pepperoni and Italian sausage for the meat eaters. On the way back from AZ, stopped by here after four hours on the road. Small order of their regular salad with Honey Mustard dressing. Salad was nice and clean, no wilted vegetables, the dressing actually has a mustard kick. It was good. Order half and half of vegetables pizza and sausage with mushrooms. My son had a personal cheese pizza. Both were great. Place was clean, no musty smell like some restaurants. Definitely a place to stop by when I go on another trip to Mesa, AZ. read more

I ordered a pie 1/2 cheese & 1/2 sausage. When I arrived the waitress brought out the pie to show me. It was all sausage. I said I ordered 1/2 sausage. The said 'no problem we win make you a new pie'. A short time later the owner came over and asked me if I would also like the first pie on the house otherwise they would throw it out. Of course I accepted and will certainly be returning and bring some more people with me. They make a very good pizza. I know I'm from Brooklyn. Not impressed with slices. Three slices and two drinks (water and soda) was $25. The toppings were just thrown on top. When i picked up the slice everything just fell off. Plus they put the wrong toppings on. Didn't bother telling them just took them off. I think the pizza would be good if you just ordered a whole pizza, and probably cheaper. By far one of my favorite places for a great meal - lunch or dinner. personally, i love going for lunch. if I am lucky, it's a bit less busy & I enjoy that. today was a prime example of what I love there. its NOT just a pizza place. (tho they are great too) I go here as a Treat for myself. I had a superb Butternut Squash soup. the best I have had anywhere including my own cooking. I LOVE soup & they have made it into a fine art. I got to chat with one of the chefs & she tells me they are hoping to expand their soup repertoire. YEA!! & she was very pleased with how much I enjoyed this one - (they've been playing with their recipes!) & i have to say their wait staff are delightful, some new faces today & i have to say they know how to hire great people! & one thing to remember their 'bowl' is Not tiny lol.. very filling Chef said to keep an eye out on their online presence to keep up with new offerings of soup & other menu items.. I also had their avocado on toast. simple & PERFECT. yummmm and of course as always, their fresh as fresh baked bread & butter on the table is amazeballs. I keep asking if I can be an apprentice to learn how to do that... sigh.. they don't take me up on that offer lol... i guess that means i just have to keep coming back haha - believe me i will they were one of the restaurants that survived & improved during the covid shutdowns because they were innovative & early adapters of more delivery/pick-up options. Ordered to grab some food on the road. Only can eat so much fast food right. So called and try to time it right. Told us 20-25 min for pick up. We order a med pizza one Italian sandwich and a garlic bread. We are at the 30 min mark and have yet to pick up. Place looks decent and clean enough. Dough of the pizza wasn't greasy and was decent. Pizza wasn't bad. Would order again. Sandwich not so much and the Fries were soggy. Probably being placed in a container and giving them a stems bath caused it. read more

From the outside this place didn't look like much but we were pleasantly surprised when we went in. The staff was very friendly and welcoming! We ordered the Italian sub sandwich, the fresh bread was soft and delicious and it was piled high with Italian deli meats, we ordered 2 of these but one had giardiniera and one didn't, I think they forgot to put it on the second sandwhich, it definitely needed it otherwise it was too dry. The calzone was huge! I've never had a calazone with the marina on the side but it didn't bother us. We also ordered the stuffed mushrooms but unfortunately our server forgot to put them in and the arrived after our lunch came out. Overall good experience and good food. read more

This is the place! Fresh ingredients and a beautiful menu. This place has it all! Stopped in with a friend and had our expectations surpassed! We ordered a large salad with grilled salmon and a pepperoni mushroom calzone. The ricotta was beautifully balanced against the fresh mozzarella and sweet marinara! So simple yet soooo delicious! Had room for dessert so we ordered carrot cake and a three layer death by chocolate cake. Both so moist and delightful! Service was excellent. Our waitress was knowledgeable, offered suggestions , and checked in on us from time to time. The ambiance is what it is. And that is where they lose a star. The place is small and brightly lit. It's not for date night if you're trying to set a mood. However if you're taking ing your parents or grandparents out, this will be fine. We will make this our go to when in the area! read more

Tried this restaurant for the first time today. Overall a decent experience. We got the spaghetti and a couple slices of pizza and a order of garling cheese bread. First I'll say the free bread basket they gave us was some of the best home baked bread I have ever had. The garlic cheese bread was kind of raw and undercooked and nothing to write home about. The pizza was okay. Fairly cheap ingredients and very dry crust. I wouldn't order the pizza or garlic cheese bread again. However I will say I got the spaghetti with meat sauce but wish I had gotten the marinara. The meat sauce was too sweet and too salty at the same time. But the marinara that was served with our garlic cheese bread as an intended dip was delicious and one of the best I have had. Hard for me to come to a pizza place and not recommend the pizza lol. But I suppose that's okay. Others seemed to be enjoying it. Just wasnt for us. Next time I come back im going to get the spaghetti with marinara and a nice salad and enjoy the house bread. That would be a great dinner and ill for sure be back for it. read more

My mother in law loves this place and their pizza. I think their pizza is very mediocre. She's from Boston, so maybe they like a different pie than me. My test for a good pizza is to order a plain cheese pie. This one was very greasy. That to me says it is not a high quality cheese. The salad was very good that we ordered. Our service was excellent. They took excellent care of us. I'd return for a salad and perhaps some pasta, but I'll pass on the pizza. They recently opened up the restaurant by removing a wall. A welcome improvement. read more

Shockingly bad service. We arrived around 2 and the place was moderately busy. They only had 2 servers. We waited a half hour to put our orders in. It then took another 30 minutes to get salads, some of which they forgot. Grabbed quick takeout here today and was happy with everything we got. We split a medium heat buffalo wings and it was just the right amount of spice. We also got a medium gluten free pizza and it was really good. The gluten free crust is crispy more like flatbread. Service was friendly and polite both over the phone and in person. I definitely will return. Adding on a review and was so sad that our recent order was not as good. I got a pizza with ham, spinach and mushroom. It had so much garlic - the kind from a jar that tastes off- that I threw it out. So sad it was not edible.
