I just want to say how amazing Slice of Heaven and the owners are! We were down for the week and my kids would go almost everyday for a slice. On Friday night which is one of the busiest nights probably for the pizzerias as everyone is leaving the next morning. We ordered our pizza and it did not show up. Come to find out the poor delivery driver got into a fender bender. We called and asked about it and the owner was so apologetic and she remade our pizza and delivered it herself! Pretty good pizza. Foldable crust, thinnish and crispy the way we like it (some may not) cheese and sauce was also very good. Pizza size was average and adequate. Really good slice if you eat it on the premises I ordered 2 slices of regular pizza on two different days. Once, I had them plain. The second time, I asked them to add mushrooms. I think you have the best pizza on the island but your place is disgusting. I would deal with that for great pizza if your sanitation procedures were up to snuff. I've been coming to LBI since I was born and slice of heaven is always a staple. Over the 23 years they have varied in quality (naturally). But regardless I love it. Not sure how the rating isn't higher honestly. Even with my high pizza standards, slice of heaven always holds a place in my heart and stomach. The plain pie is stellar and Buffalo as well. Quality chicken and good Buffalo sauce made up for the not fully melted cheese. Overall would recommend this place and always take friends and family when I come down. read more

That's how bad was the pie we ordered for delivery. We ordered a spinach/mushroom pizza, fools that we are. We're used to fresh ingredients, so we were fully expecting leaves of spinach and freshly sliced mushrooms. What did we get? Chunks of spinach from the kind of frozen block found in grocery stores. The albino mushrooms came straight from a can. I have never thrown out $25 worth of pizza before. It was so unpalatable that it went straight into the trash can. read more

My family and i just ordered our annual slice of heaven meal from our guy while its our last night here on lbi.. we did 2 pies, 1 plain 1 pepp. And 2 chicken cheesesteaks. How anyone gives this spot less than a 4 or 5 is beyond me. This is by far my favorite spot on the island.. i saw a few bad reviews, and dont quite understand. But, to each their own. So this pizza was sooo expensive. I'm from NYC and this was the same price per slice as a giant slice in the city but way smaller. The pizza was fine but not worth $4 a slice. I wish the price of slices was posted somewhere. I didn't notice until after I ordered that the pie prices were posted and a large cheese pizza was $20. That math doesn't add up, I would have gotten more for my money if I had just ordered a pie. The cheesesteak is exceptional and their pizza is as good a board-walk pizza you will find on the island. My daughter really enjoyed the hero she ordered... She said the sauce on the chicken cutlet was great. Were it not for the attitude we experienced with the gentleman who was cleaning the outdoor seating area, this would have been a five-staff recommendation. However, when when the man came out of the establishment, he kept staring at us with this look of disdain. He continued to go in and out shaking his head. My daughter thought this may have been because a couple of us had shakes from the establishment next door. I would understand that; the seating is for their customers, not for the adjacent business. The signs posted outside of the pizza place clearly indicate they don't want "outside" food. However, there were eight of us in our party, and six of the eight had ordered food and were still eating. Three words for you: Buffalo Chicken Pizza. Slice of Heaven? OMG, yes. Wonderfully crunchy, not burnt crust, delicious toppings and sauces. I ordered a couple slices (big slices too). A joy to eat. Cute, friendly staff. Prices are a little high, but I wasn't sorry and I certainly don't have a lot of spare cash. Also, you can't go wrong with a Ben and Jerry's nearby for dessert. Plenty of room inside to eat, some outdoor seating. Its a block or two from the beach, and after a summer of tourists with sandy feet and screaming, salty kids, it gets a little messy. Still worth a trip. My friend from Manhattan comes down to visit me every spring before the tourists hit and we come here for lunch. We always sit outside and I have never had to stand up to let someone out of the restaurant. There are two doors, if I recall. One caveat: don't get a pizza to take home unless you live close by. I am 15/20 minutes away and by the time we got home, the crust wasn't as amazing. Softened up a bit. (Dad wasn't impressed). I, however, love it. Spent the weekend in Beach Haven with some of my girlfriends and we were STARVING. We weren't in the mood to fire up the stove and getting pizza delivered seemed like the best idea. It hit the spot. We even went so far as to enjoy slices on the beach. The delivery guy got extremely lost (our rental was a little hard to find) and he was a temp, and rather grumpy.
