First and LAST TIME going to Slice Parlor on Montgomery and Eubank area. Not family friendly. FULL of smokers on the patio, so you're breathing in 2nd hand smoke. The pizza??? OMG. Not great. Not even good. My pesto slice tasted like if I left it in the oven overnight and forgot about it. It was just like the cardboard box it was in. There's NOTHING New York about this place. I lived in New York as a young man. I've NEVER found a REAL New York Tasting (etc.) Pizza in my life, despite every pizza joint claiming they have "real New York Style" Pizza....it never measures up. FINALLY I have found a place that REALLY DOES HAVE NEW YORK STYLE PIZZA!!! I had grown tired of crap pizza being served and stopped eating pizza for many, many year. Now in my 60's I have FINALLY found a place that really delivers on it's claim of being "New York Style"!! Wine and Beer served, no mixed alcohol, Huge, great-tasting pizza by the pie or by the slice...I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SLICE PARLOR!!! 5-STARS!!! They have an amazing deal where every Tuesday, pizza slices are $2 with a school ID. A bit of a walk from UNM campus, but that deal's worth it for me. That, as well as the quality of the wifi access, makes this place amenable to sitting down for a couple hours and working on one's laptop. read more

Got a large pepperoni and a large cheese. An order of garlic knots with cheese and the citrus walnut salad. It was ok. Not the best pizza I've ever had but it hit the spot. The garlic knots are very garlicky and not much cheese on them. The pizza wasnt anything fancy because of the basic ingredients so I cant comment on their specialty pizzas. I had to play it safe for my kids. The salad was fresh but very basic. I will try them again because the crew working was very nice. They have a great selection of beer and also have domestics. Pizza is ok, a little greasy but big slices with lots of topping options. I think people who are harshly reviewing it have not experienced a slice shop. Pizza by the slice is always reheated, it's meant to be quick. Most slice shops have nowhere near the topping options of Slice Parlor. The draft beer selection is great with plenty of local options. The service is attentive and the manager is friendly and very customer service oriented. I plan on making this a regular stop. read more

We came in, sat down and was not acknowledge for over 10 minutes. Told a worker and all they had to say was sorry. I really hope it's not because I had my service dog with me, who had his vest on with all 5 of his patches identifying him as such. You're location on central is always nice and accommodating to us when I have my service dog. Sorry your store didn't acknowledge us. read more

This is my absolute favorite spot to enjoy a delicious slice of pizza! Not once have I had a bad experience. If you live in abq or are just in town looking for a bomb ass place to enjoy a great slice you can't go wrong at Slice Parlor! Always a phenomenal experience! The food is great but the service sucks. I'm glad this place doesn't sell Popeyes biscuits because I would've died of thirst. We went two times and both times our drinks were empty for 20min or so I had to walk up and fill my drink up myself you're better off calling it in and picking up the servers can't even stop and ask how you're doing they just sit at the bar or are off doing who knows what. We got an appetizer and it arrived when our pizza arrived what's the point in an appetizer you're supposed to get it BEFORE the food. The waitress dumped a huge slice of greasy pizza in my lap like she had never handled a plate before. And after that she didn't even offer a towel to clean up with. Upon complaining to the manager whom accused me of "threatening" her and saying that she would call the police, had the audacity of only offering a calzone on the house to make up for the infraction. Went to slice parlor for dinner on a Thursday night. The service was pretty bad, the waitress was not very attentive and at not super friendly. I order a side salad which was pretty plain nothing but lettuce and dressing. We ordered a slice of the pesto pizza and a slice of pepperoni and green chile. The ingredients of higher quality and had good flavor but the crest was really hard on the bottom and chewy on the top. The beer selection is really great. read more

First of all: The burn the pizza! How do you burn pizza at a pizza parlor? Second: wait time was ridiculous. Third: the waitress had an attitude when we asked about how much longer we would have to wait. They she processed to say they will cover half our check (we ordered One pizza and a slice). And lastly when we asked for the manager the assistant came out with an attitude and agreed to comp the meal. I would never recommend this place. We came in really excited about trying out the pizza bc we had been to the brewery next door and they had amazing beers and service. We came in a group of 5 and ordered a large supreme pizza, garlic knots, and a few beers. The beers came out right away but the flight took a while to come out. We drank our flight and the waitress was taking a while, and the garlic knots we ordered never came out. So I decided to go straight to the bar to order our second round. I walked up to the bar as the bartender picked up a pizza and walked away from the bar. She looked at me but didn't say anything like "I'll be right back. or give me a sec" When she came back she said I think I just dropped off your pizza at your table. I guess you guys had garlic knots too. I'll bring them out soon. I said, "Great! Thanks. Can I order a few beers from you? I thought it would be easier to walk up and get it." She said, "youre probably right." But then walked away to the food window. She came back and I ordered a beer. But before I could order the rest of them she walked away and went up to the waitress. I assume she was telling her to add it to our check instead of charging me. Then she walked back to the food window and started talking to the cooks about something. But she never poured out my beer or acknowledged me after that. So I walked up to the same waitress and ordered the rest of the beers for my table. She said ok I'll bring them out. I walked back to the table confused as to why I was constantly being ignored by the bartender. Usually when you walk up to the bar they pour out your drink and charge you right away or add it to your tab. She just walked away. They were beers not mixed drinks.. So I sat back down and eventually after we were almost done with the pizza we get our garlic knots. And no beers. She said I'll be back with your beers... We finished our pizza and we decided to cancel our second round since she never came back. They still weren't poured even after finishing our pizza. The waitress looked young and I assume that she probably wasn't old enough to be pouring beers. So we decided to top her since it may not have been her fault. Just tried this pizza; we had the one with all the meats. One of the best pizzas I've ever had in the Albuquerque area. I would recommend this pizza to anyone. This was the worst service I've EVER had!! They took forever to bring out two slices of pizza and two orders of knots. The knots were not cooked to order and our supreme pizza came with uncooked toppings. When we complained to a worker about the pizza he told us in a sarcastic voice "Sweet We'll have it right out." I found this very rude. A manager never talked to us about any of the problems and hid in the back the whole time. The best part of this place was getting our uncooked food for free. We enjoy coming here for their pizza and beer. Food is excellent, great beer and service is always tentative and friendly! Today was exceptional. While we didn't feel we waited too long, our waiter and management felt we did and went above and beyond to fix the situation. I work with people in my profession and pride my team with how we handle the customers experience. It was an unexpected experience to be on the receiving end of spectrum. I bought one slice to go, I'm guessing she asked me if I needed silverware,plates, napkins etc. Talked so fast I had to say what? My bill was $4.58. I gave her a $20.00. She handed me $15.00 a 5 and a 10. and said to me, is it ok if I just keep the .42 cents. She did not have it in her hand. I would have given her $1.00 tip. The pizza here is good, the local beer selection is great and the tall guy with tats working the bar is awesome. He was really great to us, seemed to care that we were having a great experience and was cleaning the pizza topping containers. So I went back to Slice Parlor today to get a couple of slices to take home. 1 of the slices was the "White" pizza which is supposed to have Ricotta instead of red sauce. Let me tell you that I would have been better off eating the cardboard box the slices came in. Talk about awful, I dont think the slice had any Ricotta on it, nothing but thin dough and some yellow cheese on it. Chewy, hard as a rock slice. 1 star for that "slice". The other one seemed only a little better, so 1 star for that one. It was the Zia, supposed to pepperoni & Green Chile. Maybe the cook is color blind, but it has Red Chiles.The place wasn't even busy so I dont know why the slices were that bad. read more

Not a bad pizza place in the heights. I really like the thin crust NY style pizza. I ordered the Zia slice with pepperoni and green chile, and loved my pizza. My boyfriend ordered a calzone. We both thought that $12.50 was a bit expensive for a calzone- until it came out and we saw how big it was. He liked his calzone, but it's definitely an item you would want to share, it's pretty big for one person. We have been to slice parlor on a Friday around 2 and a Saturday around 1. My only real complaint about slice parlor is that the service wasn't great either time. It takes a long time to be acknowledged after you sit down, and it takes a loooooong time you get anything you ask for. Be prepared to stay a while whenever you go there. I'm willing to be patient with the service for the great pizza, though! read more

Went in and was told that I was only able to do a to go order! Not to mention that when I walked in all three of the workers made rude comments about us going in 35 minutes before closing. I felt EXTREMELY uncomfortable right when I walked through the door. The two servers and bartender, after refusing to serve me in the store and only to go, were gathered together at the bar looking at their phones and doing nothing. Our server mentioned for us to go to a different restaurant, I have never felt so unwanted and uncomfortable in a restaurant before. I understand going in 35 minutes before closing was unacceptable for the workers at this restaurant but still felt that it was unnecessary for the workers to let me know they felt this way!
