Back at slice parlor for a pint and a snack with my mama in between tennis matches. LOVE the new addition of the fried apps on the menu- zucchini fries were delicious

What can I say.... I'm addicted to Slice Parlor! I've been coming here consistently for years, back to the original location on Central. The crust is thin and crispy, never drenched in oil. I love the size of the slices, it's perfect single size to satiate even the hungriest appetite! This place is usually busy, no surprise! The ambiance is laid back, "pizza and beer" vibes, which always hits the spot. They also have vibrant, fresh salad options, their homemade dressings are delicious! Come grab a slice and a cold one, if you're ever struggling on a place to eat... this is my go to 90% of the time, ask my friends!

First time ever visiting this joint. This place is New York style pizza type place they have it indoor season to outdoor seating and roll up doors to get the air flowing through the place if need be. Their food is delicious. We got the meat lovers pizza the pizza I think it's called came out perfectly cooked. Even the leftovers were delicious. We got the 24 inch which fed three of us Then in there and leftovers. The service is good. The waitress was on spot. Make sure we had everything major glasses were full, always checking on us. The ambience in the place was good low chatter and low music throughout the place where you could still talk and have a good conversation without half the talk up over music or the loud people. All in all this great place I definitely go back.

During a visit to the marble taproom in the Heights, we decided to order a pizza from slice parlor while we enjoyed our drinks. The only downside was I believe because of the time of day and they were slow, the pizza was probably actually ready before the online order said it was. So it was already starting to get a little cold when we started to eat it. But other than that the pizza was huge even the smallest size is quite large. I actually ordered an 18 inch New York style with pineapple, and it was more than plenty for two people. The slices are very thin, so it makes up for the larger size. If you want to dine in, there are different beers and siders on tap and in the warmer months, the patio is very enjoyable. It is definitely a convenient option if you're enjoying a beer at marble next door.

It was extremely busy and loud. I didn't wait in line to order, but it took them 50 minutes to prepare our salads. The service wasn't very friendly or helpful at first. I'm hoping it was because they were so busy. We had to leave 10 minutes after getting our salads so I had to take most of it home which was disappointing. On a good note, the salads were amazing. They were the best salads I've ever tasted which I why I'm giving three stars instead of less. My mom ordered the 505 Cobb and they forgot her chicken which was frustrating after waiting for nearly an hour. However, they did make up for it by making her extra chicken! And their chicken was absolutely delicious!! I ordered Persephone's Lunch which was outstanding. I added chicken to it which made it nearly $20 for a bowl salad. The seating is open and you order and sit down wherever you can find. The seating is hard on your backside and uncomfortable, especially when waiting for so long. The salads and fresh ingredients are delectable. If I ever return, it will be a to go order that is put in very early. Cheers!

I now frequently order the Deluxe Biscuits and Gravy as the biscuits are incredible. The Pappas con Carne are also very good, and the breakfast burrito is just too much food. The last time I ordered Huevos Rancheros the kitchen finally figured out that they should fry the tortillas in oil before plating instead of just warming on the grill!! They were so much better!! My friend's muffin was burnt to a crisp and her bowl of strawberries were terrible. Egg over easy - over cooked. I believe the Range is experiencing kitchen nightmares and inflation. Asked for ketchup and I got a little manikin with a tablespoon of ketchup. They now close at three pm and items from menu removed. Service was okay - waitress was trying. Not her fault how the food is prepared. This location is not handicap friendly. The doors and two sets of them are extremely heavy. Too expensive, and the menu is overpriced with its markup.

So, I was feeling like a sandwich and decided to try this little place in the Heights. Lots of parking, SUPER clean, welcoming, small but with good seating for pairs (inside and out) and great tunes playing (an eclectic and upbeat playlist - I liked every song during my visit, but several were new to me). An impressive menu (I've put up two shots of the menu board so as to help with any reflection issues) and just the nicest folks working. You know - immediately attentive and friendly, but then leaving you alone while you enjoy your food . . . asking to make sure everything's okay, but giving you your space. But you're here for the food, right? Well, it's quite reasonably priced and generously portioned. My hot pastrami was the California sort (not the fatty NYC sort of my childhood) and it came fairly loaded with juicy meat and just the perfect amount of the dressing I'd requested as well as an ideal amount of cheese. On an ethereally soft, fresh roll - ah, this today was the best sandwich roll I've had so far this year. Just a masterpiece. The sandwich (served with a bag of chips) was delicious and the price of the cold soda (a buck?!) was kind of amazing these days. They had really good looking brownies on the counter for $2, but I resisted. Kinda regretting that now that I'm back home remembering them. Ah well, I'll have to return soon!

For 30.00 you can order whatever you want from the large sushi menu. You have to eat it all and you have a two hour time limit. It kind of reminded me of Meat Beard the food challenge Tuber who eats gigantic food challenges except that you don't get a free meal if you eat everything. It's okay sushi. I find that sushi here in ABQ tends to be the sweet sauce kind and that's no exception here. I had a few nigiris a few special rolls and an eel hand roll. I liked the eel roll except I thought I'd left cream cheese on sushi back in Seattle where I used to live. I've given up on super fresh fish here in ABQ, mainly because I get that we are in the desert so any sushi is welcome. But the nigiris were all fresh tasting with bouncy flesh. The surf clams was the best of those. The place is a little tatty with a half assed attempt at paper flower decorations on a few walls. It's clean but looks old and worn. The staff were nice and friendly and didn't make you work hard to re-order. So the answer to my question is Yes, being able to eat a lot of mediocre food for free is a nice treat.
