What a joyful grand opening the location had - super pleasant servers, bartenders and a terrific friendly and helpful manager! The beers on draft were cold and delicious; so many Marble options. Double White IPA for me! All pints $3 on Wednesday! Say whaaaat! And slices $2 Tuesdays with a student ID. Holla. I'm not a student anymore but for those of you who are, get up on this deal, amigo/amigas. The pizza style is similar to NY with the toppings laid atop and baked rather than buried and baked inside. The thin and juicy piece of pepperoni and olive I had was just what the doctor ordered. Tasty ranch to dip it in, and the garlic bread knots were impressive as well. Next time let's melt that cheese on top of the bread a little more and a little less on the plate, but hey, that's just a milllldd recommendation. They were still great, I just had to pull some cheese off the plate a little. You know I still ate it though ;) I'm happy to see a location for Slice Parlor in the NE side of town. I'm all about it. Better Pizza at Costco, Cici's, Dions, PizzaHut... Slice Parlors new Montgomery heights location disappoints here's why. They say they do NY crust but it's more like Cali Thin Crust. Overpriced for generic quality the only reason you might come here is the variety of local brews on draft for $4.50 and the patio facing the busy street. The pizza is nothing special at all. Most of the early 5star reviews on yelp since it opened last week are probably their own employees or regulars of the nob hill location who don't seem to know much about quality pizza. Given a choice of eating here I'd rather go to Costco dions or pizza9 for local options . I won't waste my money here. read more

Soooo awesome!!!! Don't be scared to try the Veggie Pesto. Absolute YUM!!! Michael behind the bar is a gem! He is spot on for helping you decide what you want to eat and drink. He also has a John Nash memory! No need to ask for the slice to be prepared well-done. All slices hold their own when you raise them to the mouth. We were originally planning on ordering take out to bring to the marble taproom next door, but saw their giant on tap menu and decided to stay. They have the sunny beautiful Mountain View patio set up for social distance eating and copious disinfectant. On a Monday early afternoon they had one super friendly nice waitress who was working really hard. The pizza is NYC style thin giant slices that are pretty good. After that, we've gotten take out twice. Both take-out pizzas were a bit under baked. We got one with Italian Sausage: A complete disappointment. The Sausage amounted to bits that were over cooked and dry. This is not a cheap pizza. When one element is bad, it detracts from the whole meal. Not sure if I'll go back. read more

The food is decent, but the service is absolutely terrible. Our appetizer took over 20 mins to get to our table and the pizza was about double the wait. Getting a beer is like pulling teeth, 15 mins and STILL waiting on one.single.beer. Doubt I will come back. You can get better food and wait so much less anywhere else in town. Boo. read more

Came here for the vegan options. Online menu has more options than what is actually available in person so beware. However, the pizza is seriously good. I got a slice one day and a whole pie another day. I'm still dreaming of that pie. Very garlicky, which is perfect! If I could give zero stars, I would. I used to love slice parlor, but unfortunately the bad customer service is what did it for me. I ordered a large order of garlic knots over the phone. I asked for delivery to Marble- they said they were currently not delivering to marble and to come to pickup food in 10 minutes- no problem. I went in 10 minutes to find they had not even started my order yet, and told me it would be an additional 10 minutes to have them ready but promised they would bring them over to marble for me. I agreed, paid, and then waited for over 20 minutes before I decided to walk back to check. (At this point it was over 30 minutes wait time for my garlic knots!) I spoke with the "manager" Aimee- who treated me like shit and as soon as I walked in, she shoved the food in my face and turned away from me. I asked for a refund and told her I did not want the food anymore as it took so long- she hastily started my return and then walked into the back room to tattle on me to the store manager, then she tossed the receipt to me and that's when I asked to talk to someone higher up. I talked to the store manager- Stephan- and he was even worse. He did not care that I was a paying customer, told me "You didn't pay for anything, so you didn't receive anything, so what's the problem?" And in fact I did pay for something, I never received it so I did not want it anymore so that's when I got my refund. I asked him if I mattered as a customer. As soon as he approached me he was unwilling to be compassionate and listen to my frustrations and make things right with me. He said he had 100 more customers in the building and that he needed to tend to them - (what about me??) I said you're totally being an asshole and treating me like I don't matter and you're unwilling to talk with me about why I'm upset. He said "have a nice day" and walked away. I am blown away. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in a good establishment. I hope the owner reads this and reaches out to me to make things right. I may be one customer, but I know hundreds of people. And I will tell those to choose other food options before going to a place who does not care about people or their money. Thanks. Update: Adam, the owner spoke with me and took my concerns very seriously. Offered a gift card to help make up for the terrible experiences. He was very nice and was very sorry. I appreciated his conversation and willingness to listen to me. I might return again after that. read more

I am a pizza pro. Literally - I usually make my pizza from scratch and have done tons of experiments on the finest recipes. Occasionally, I enjoy going out to try different places' pizza to sample their quality, similarities and differences. I had high hopes for this place but unfortunately, I was let down. I got a classic pepperoni pizza. The crust was TOO chewy and actually burned on the bottom. And because of that, I could only taste "BURNT CRUST" out of every bite, with a hint of cheese, roni and sauce. They do have a great beer selection. I should've just gotten drunk off every draft beer so that I could just burn off my taste buds and pretend I was enjoying my slice. I'll make sure to add to my notes "don't burn your pizza". Grubhub was running a $3 off your order so it came out to around $23. They loaded the pizza with a generous amount of toppings. The crust was thin and soft/chewy, easily foldable with some char on the bottom -- just how I like it! Have been looking for good pizza reminiscent of NY pizza for cheap and this was not a bad find at all! Slice Parlor is the best pizza place in Albuquerque. I usually go to the one in the NE Heights and the atmosphere there is great. Good prices and the perfect place in the summertime when they open up the patio. Anytime is good though. Beer selection is the best. A large selection of local beers and different options (IPAs, stouts, wheats, etc.) so that everyone has something to choose from. Friendly staff and easy to pick up a pizza on a Friday/Saturday night. I love New York style pizza and the slices are HUGE. 2 slices and you will be stuffed. So, I ordered from here recently because my wife was craving pizza. Given that we were new to the surrounding neighborhood, I opted to go here since we live so close. I've also driven past on many occasions and always wants to try it, so what better time. I ordered online and picked up our food shortly after. I didn't realize at the time of ordering how big a 24" pizza was, but my eyes and growling stomach told me otherwise. We also ordered garlic knots and cheesecake. Let's just say the cheesecake was the best part of dinner. Neither of us enjoyed the pizza nor the garlic knots; however, that's not to say it was absolutely terrible. It just wasn't for us. Dang!! The size of the house salad was HUGE. Then I got 1 slice of supreme pizza and i actually was very satisfied; the toppings were plentiful. So I walked in and took my seat with my family and, I sat on the seat and put my hands on it. I was appalled to see a nasty blob of brown gunk were I just put my hand! So of course I wiped it up and just to be sure it wasn't poop, I smelled it. And sure enough it had the most horrific smell ever (poop). I rushed to the bathroom and washed it off. Then when I got back my family had already told the waitress and she just moved the chair away from the tables. What a fun hybrid between a pizza polar and bar! The pizza is NY style and tge slices are huge! You could definitely share with someone or take sine home. I had the Spinach salad with feta, very delicious. I also ordered thier Pescado champagne, it came in a little bottle and they gave me a glass. The service was good and speedy. The only thing I tend to care about when it comes to a pizza joint is the pizza. From the second you taste this pie it is obvious this restaurant has no care for their quality of food. Tastes like a Walmart frozen pizza got thrown in the garbage and this place wanted to re package it. The absolute only thing this place has going for it is the atmosphere. The pizza crust is floppy and wet. It is apparent that the sauce is canned, while the toppings are also obviously prepped from a factory food distributor. Just to note, the Slice Parlor website is for BOTH locations, and the daily specials page does not state that these specials are for the Nob Hill location only, so I went to the Montgomery location expecting to get in on the Wednesday deal ($3 pints) to be informed that no, this location does not honor those specials. So, right off the back I was thinking, WTF?!?! I ordered a $4.50 pint of La Cumbre, and it was returned not full. Yet another disappointment! We decided to order the Slice and a pint special for $6.99. The slices were delivered burned and crunchy. The crust was like biting a cracker. It was dry and not at all delicious. My boyfriend asked the waitress "what's going on with this location?" and her reply was "Don't even get me started on it!" then she rolled her eyes. I'm not sure what's up with this new Slice Parlor, but they really should consider getting their shiz together. Being next door to an up and coming Marble location is prime! And I can't remember out waitress' name but she was just slow and quiet, very introvert. Be cautious Marble customers, they advertise Marble delivery but it is selective. We were at Marble Brewery about 1 month ago, on a Friday at 1pm, ordered a pizza online with instructions for Marble delivery. Boom, about 15 minutes later a hot pizza arrived. It was tasty. Today, I was at Marble around 2pm, ordered a pizza online, waited, waited, waited....I called them and was told "we usually only deliver in the evenings." Well that would have been nice to know. Especially since I left a delivery tip. They even had my phone number and email address but never contacted me. I asked for a refund of the delivery tip and was told it would take 2 business days, no apology. Next time we will order from Dion's, a much better pizza in the first place, and swing by and pick it up on our way to Marble. My friends and I, we like patios. This patio makes for a great experience. The bustle of Montgomery, the fiery heaters if it's cool out, and a cheesy slice of supreme pizza is all you need on most summer nights. They've got oregano and garlic powder at each table to really take your taste buds on a ride. Their beer selection is pretty darn good, too, and mostly local. Plus, they'll bring your pie over to Marble, if that's what you're into. Is it the best pizza in Albuquerque? I'd say it's almost as good as pizza castle, but doesn't touch Richie b's. Am I right?
