Veggie slice, garlic olive twist, Cinnamon Twists each, garlic sauce

I hadn't been to Slices in quite a while, and I remember going to the Tempe location a few times. I was in the mood for something quick and easy, so this spot fit the bill. I wanted a pizza with olives but they didn't have one ready, so I ordered their veggie slice with two bread combo and a drink ($8.99). I chose their garlic olive twist and cinnamon twist as my options. I got their garlic sauce (marinara was their other option) and had my dinner at one of the tables outside since there are just a few tables indoors and we were already sitting out in the mall area. The twists were pretty tasty and I was glad to have a sweet option to try. The slice had plenty of toppings but I wasn't impressed with how flimsy the crust was. I like thin crust, but one that holds its composition better. Their garlic sauce wasn't my favorite so I'd try the marinara next time. Excellent customer service! Friendly, helpful and welcoming. I would come back for an affordable meal option.

A slice of pizza sounded good. We walked into this busy establishment for an order. They had a staggering amount of pizzas to choose from. It took a moment to decide our order. They offer thin and deep dish pizza as well as salads. We decided on Red Margarita and Chicken Pesto. We collected our beverage and napkins. Our order was called after the slices had been heated up. Staff are friendly and efficient. There were a few high top table and chairs inside. We opted to do take out and found a sunny spot with table and chairs. The slices could have been a bit hotter but otherwise were quite tasty. We sat enjoying the busy sights along with our food. Large shared parking lot and WiFi.

This Slices location is inside the Desert Ridge Marketplace in "The District." I was a little disappointed because my Detroit-style slice was only lukewarm. The other person with me had a cheese pizza slice that was good.

Had no idea this place was here. But stopped in for a slice. I got their special which was Prosciutto and Brie and I also got a garlic olive twist. Both were delish! I will def be back to try some of their other pizzas and deserts. They are fast with both taking your order and heating it up. And it's a quick in and out spot not very much seating. Overall it's pretty freakin delicious.

First things first- the pizza is very good. I eat here all the time, my go to order is their barbecue chicken pizza and a parm twist. DELIGHTFUL Second- the service is always phenomenal. You're always greeted cheerfully and treated with respect and kindness. Also special mention of one of the workers there - Lindsey - such a sweetheart! I hope everyone who comes here gets to encounter her, it will make your whole day! Third- the ambiance of the store itself is so cute and homey! I 10/10 recommend Slices in Desert Ridge!

Pizza was flavorless and bland. Would rather do take out pizza from yard house or BJs next door. Unfortunately won't return.

We had a group of 14 celebrating our twins graduating high school, with family flying in from out of state, including relatives who are deeply Sicilian, where food is love, tradition, connection, and family. Finding authentic Italian food with a luxurious atmosphere that still felt warm and welcoming was incredibly important to us, and this place exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the energy was beautiful -- elegant without being stuffy, lively without feeling overwhelming. The handcrafted Italian dishes, warm ambiance, and live music created the perfect setting for such a meaningful family celebration. But what truly made the evening unforgettable was the service. Carmen, our server, was absolutely phenomenal. I can honestly say I have never experienced better service or attentiveness anywhere. She anticipated every need before we even had to ask, yet somehow still made the experience feel relaxed, personal, and genuine. Her personality completely elevated the evening -- warm, engaging, joyful, and effortlessly professional. She made all 14 of us feel special. Jaden, our busser, was equally outstanding. Waters were constantly filled, plates cleared immediately, food packed carefully to go, and everything stayed flowing perfectly the entire night. The teamwork between them was seamless. What meant the most to me personally was how comfortable my son with autism felt there. The atmosphere, energy, and kindness of the staff made him completely at ease, and he truly enjoyed himself. That alone makes this restaurant unforgettable to our family. In Italian families, meals become memories, and last night gave us one we'll talk about for years. Thank you for helping us celebrate such an important milestone with love, warmth, incredible food, and exceptional hospitality.

The setting does a lot of the work: a large, charming garden with plenty of outdoor seating that gives the whole place a cozy, almost village feel. Inside, there's a small bar that's tough to get into, but it's really your only option if you're walking in without a reservation and don't want to wait an hour or more. The kitchen is usually the highlight. With an Italian chef behind it, everything leans fresh and well executed--pizzas consistently shine, and the salads are just as strong. This time, though, the bolognese was a miss. The pasta was clearly overcooked, which stood out given how reliable the food typically is--felt more like an off night than the norm. The wine-by-the-glass list is solid and approachable, and the many awards feel well deserved overall. A diverse staff adds to the cosmopolitan yet relaxed atmosphere. Even with the misstep, Cibo holds its place as one of the better all-around dining experiences downtown.

He absolutely has no customer service himself. Only gave us the excuse that the misters stay on. An extra treat was that they have bottles of spicy oil on the tables, so I was able to enjoy the crusts by slathering them with the tasty oil as though they were breadsticks. On the way out, after mentioning to the bartender how good the oil was, I was gifted a couple of condiment cuplets to-go, which was a thoughtful and nice touch and sort of made up for the server who wasn't particularly warm or informative as I had to ask about the specials and whether or not all the pasta is freshly made, etc. Heck, if you have a great selling point like homemade pasta, talk it up and get us to drooling! There is a variety of seating available, including outside and at the bar--bar has an inside section as well as outside which is a nice design for the lovely weather days. However, it's unfortunate that the outdoor seating is on such a busy traffic corner, so it's not the little retreat it would otherwise be. The lunchtime music was more like happy hour music, not conducive to conversation--maybe for the cellphones-at-the -table crowd it's okay, but being near the Phoenix Art Museum and Arizona Opera, why not add to the cultural experience of the area by celebrating its Italian origins with some Italian music? Even if just added as interludes during every few pieces, it would enhance the ambiance. We had to raise our voices to carry on our conversation, but it was manageable. However, when I came back the next week with a friend with a hearing impairment, it became more problematic. She tried adjusting her hearing aids, but the thumping rhythm kept taking precedence as we tried to find a quieter corner, but it wasn't possible as it is a small space and speakers were close to each table. I felt so bad that she couldn't enjoy a meal there--we both were so looking forward to having a fresh pasta dish, but just couldn't stay. Upon leaving, I felt I should let management know why so I waited to speak to him, offering constructive criticism about the sound level but he was not the least apologetic nor said he would take it under advisement, but was completely dismissive and harrumphy as though we were annoying problems and not potential regulars with suggestions worthy of consideration. How hard would it be to have a quieter area or make a speaker accessible with volume control? People, whether on the spectrum, with hearing impairments, or just lovers of good conversation deserve respect and when it is not given, will go elsewhere....
