Boneless wing platter (4, strawberry jalapeño) with a side salad. The apple cider vinaigrette is legendary.

The original location, and the one that started it all. If you're looking for a casual sports bar with great food and plenty of beers, this is it. With J. Timothy's close by, they've got some competition in the wing department, but Sliders stands tall. The traditional wings are incredible, the boneless ones are generously-sized, and I'm really curious about the mycoprotein vegetarian wings (I'm sure Sliders nailed it). If you're not into wings, I've tried a few other things and I've never had a bad dish here. The draft list offers the usual favorites and plenty of local flavor, with a variety of cans as well. The Plainville location has a tough parking lot to navigate, especially in the snow, and then you need to find the door (it's on the opposite side of most of the parking spots). It feels a bit cramped on the inside, though the walkways and tables offer plenty of room. That being said, it's a Sliders, and it's been *the* Sliders for thirty-two years. Don't mess with a winning formula.

    Whole bunch of sliders.

Call it nostalgia, call it my love for anything maple, or just call it what it is...Sliders Grill & Bar is just a solid place for chicken.I was in Connecticut for a weekend visiting my family and we settled on ordering some chicken for my final lunch in the state. I used to frequent both the Plantsville and Wallingford locations when I was a resident many years ago, so I was pretty excited to see what time has done to this Connecticut chicken chain. We ended up ordering some french fries, onion rings, and pretzels to share while I ordered the maple/bacon boneless wings to eat myself. We placed out order around 11:30AM and were able to pick it up only twenty minutes later, which is pretty darn good in my book. Did it live up to my own mental hype? French Fries- Pretty standard fries, nothing to really talk about, I enjoyed them for what they were. Onion Rings- I was a big fan of these onion rings. They were the perfect consistency of kind of doughy (if this even makes sense as a description) but still tasty. Pretzels- These were okay, pretty standard bar style pretzel with plenty of salt to do the trick. Maple/Bacon Boneless Wings- I thought the flavour on the maple/bacon boneless wings were pretty good. The chicken itself was juicy and thanks to the sauce it was dipped in, and of course the small chunks of bacon, this chicken filled me up and tasted pretty good while doing it. Overall, Sliders Grill & Bar is a solid place to stop and grab some wings in Connecticut. Are you going to have the best wings ever here? No, but sometimes you just want to hangout and devour some wings and this place will help you do that. Solid service, solid food, come give them a shot.

I honestly had no idea what to expect from Sliders. I went after a movie got out, so it was dark. But they were one of the few places with a kitchen still open so sure, why not wander by myself into the gray restaurant abutting a hill next to the highway? I was pleasantly surprised by the interior, never judge a restaurant by its outdoor lighting. It's very modern and clean, but must be rowdy as all get out on game day. There's several divided areas to sit and eat, and a bar in the middle. TVs are everywhere, each was set to a different sporting channel. The sound of birds tweeting is audible under the other noise - finally figured out the sound is coming from a golf game in the corner of the dinning room! No real birds are hanging around. The cheeseburger was warm and the cheese gooey. The fires had a good crisp, but take them to go and get something more unique to their menu. The Mexican street corn fritters had a great kick to them, and the dipping sauce worked great with their flavors. The server was very attentive and answered all my questions, it was great service!

We have visited the various Slider's locations occasionally over the years. Never had a bad experience. This year my husband decided this was the place he wanted to go for his birthday. Definitely didn't disappoint. We wanted to order everything off the menu since it all looked so good. The service was great. Every time we go we always mention how we would love a location closer to home aka Greater Danbury area as this would be a weekly go to for us.

Came here with a friend on a Saturday night for some food and definitely walked out happy. We shared the Mac Daddy Tots and I had the Buffalo Parmesan boneless wings. The tots were unbelievable. The toppings were all perfect and accented the tater tots so well. Our waitress was so attentive and very friendly, great service. The atmosphere is very typical sports bar, tvs everywhere with all sorts of games on. Very casual and comfortable. I will certainly come back for those tots!

What I can say, we have been coming to Sliders for years. I really like the General Tso flavors for wings but also have ordered plenty other flavors. I always, always get the Brussels, they are my favorite! Sometimes I think I could live only on those! Last weekend I tried this PB&J drink and it was really good! Justin is great and always makes it a great experience for us! We'll be back in soon!

My boyfriend was craving wings and suggested we go to Sliders. So, naturally, off we went! This was my first time ever going to Sliders. We were seated almost instantly which is always a plus. Our waitress was very nice, super accommodating. Wings were pretty good, I did enjoy the fact that they let you choose EXACTLY how well done you want them out of four options, unlike other places where "well done" can be a broad concept. My absolute favorite part of the meal honestly though, was the appetizer. We got the empanadas and my goodnesssssss. Delicious! Filled with steak and cheese, seasoned well, topped with pickled onions and a nice creamy avocado dipping sauce. Game changer. It came with five so disregard there only being two in the picture, we just couldn't resist long enough for a photo!

Although I do enjoy coming here for football it seems the food portions are getting smaller. Ordered the new corn fritters and they were good and all but definitely not worth the $13. Staff was friendly!

Apparently Sliders has forgotten what well done/dry wings mean anymore. Maybe the cooks are just overwhelmed with orders.

Greeted warmly by our server, the coffee was served and it was fresh and delicious. I drink mine in black and I could taste the flavors. Some of the best coffee I've had in a long time. Diner style and delicious. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin. The egg was perfectly fried, along with the white American cheese, and tasteful bacon. Unfortunately, the bacon missed the mark, as it wasn't crispy. It was soggy. And the English muffin was very small and un toasted. It seemed to me like it was microwaved. How can you not toast an English muffin? So the sandwich itself was not solid whatsoever. But looking around at the breakfast platters, they look delicious and all of my friends seem to enjoy what they ordered. So just a quick note to the owners and the chef and the cooks, toast, the damn English muffin, please! Crispy bacon would be nothing out of the ordinary to ask This place is solid, looking around at the different orders for breakfast, I look forward to returning again and giving it another shot

The small restaurant was like a deli with several tables inside and a lovely outdoor patio that really elevated its overall atmosphere. We placed our order at the inside counter and grabbed a table outside. Throughout our visit, we experienced extremely pleasant and gracious service from Fina and a young man, both of whom were cooking and delivering the food. Though this caused things to move on the slower side, they really had their system down to a science, managing our meals and the several takeout orders that I saw being collected. The lunch menu had various salads, sandwiches, and burgers on offer. I selected the Chicken Gyro, which used a real grilled chicken breast that had been sliced, rather than those pre-cut strips that always seem to contain fillers. The chicken was a tad dry, but the homemade tzatziki sauce, which was heavily infused with dill, helped to add moisture to the sandwich. I had opted for a whole wheat wrap, rather than a pita, and I loved that they had lightly toasted the completed dish, even with its inclusion of romaine lettuce and diced tomatoes. That method gave the wrap an improved texture and a slight crunch. I sampled a few of my companion's fries, which were thin, crispy, and had a real rustic flavor that resembled potato skins. They were great! Fina's Kitchen was a real gem, hidden among an industrial area and catering to the local businesses. It was a great find!

They've since expanded the size of their tasting room into another huge, open space full of high tops and comfortable lounge seating along with a bar mixing up creative cocktails. The new space also has tons of pinball machines and other games. We stopped in after a movie on a Friday at about 6:30. There were a few groups hanging out but it wasn't too busy at all. It was pretty chill vibe, and I got the sense that a lot of locals frequent them, which is cool. We hung out for nearly two hours and by the time we left the only other folks there were at the bar in the front room. The beer is still good! I did want to try some of their cocktails though. They have some pretty creative cocktails made with interesting homemade syrups, shrubs, and the like. I tried the Honey Don't which was tart but well balanced. I wished it was a little spicier, but I am a spice fiend. Then I felt for something a little sweeter so I went with the Poolside gossip. All the different ingredients really combined into a unique and delicious flavor! I really enjoyed what they have going on. The space was comfortable and relaxed and there's something on their drinks menu for literally everyone, plus entertainment. They have small snacks available, but you're also welcome to bring your own food. So it's basically like a very relaxed bar. We'll definitely be stopping in more frequently!

Although his professional background was in advertising, Sigman had been an avid homebrewer since 1994. Eventually he decided to open his own brewery. Sigman chose the name "Relic" to reference his world travels. Aiming to craft artisanal ales inspired by flavors from around the world, he thought of himself as more of a chef than a brewer. Sigman doesn't brew beer based on which styles are trendy, but rather beers that he personally enjoys with tastes that he views as complimentary or exciting. I have visited Relic Brewing multiple times since I first became serious about craft beer in 2013. At that time, Relic was one of maybe 10 breweries in the state (today there are over 100). Of those original 10, only half remain in business. The taproom was very small during my initial visit: about 10 square feet and they only served small free samples. I recently stopped there with my older son because it occurred to me that I hadn't been there in at least 10 years. A lot had changed! In 2016, a full bar was added and Relic began to serve full pint pours as well as craft cocktails. A large back room addition opened in 2019, which featured a fully furnished lounge and a pinball arcade slowly evolved. When I first arrived, I ordered a taster flight which featured "Oktoberfest", "Nebraska IPA", "The Whim" (New England IPA), and "Double Whim" (Double New England IPA). I grabbed my flight and headed to the back room with my son. He was so excited to play the pinball machines and other various arcade games. The two of us had a nice father-son bonding experience playing pinball as I also enjoyed my beer samples; the "Oktoberfest" was my favorite!
