This place or particular Sliders is awful. Wings have always been just OK but I've never been satisfied when I eat at a sliders with any food. This location we went to on Wed evening after a basketball game cause everything else was closed. Upon first walking in it smelled like weed (which it might have been the waitresses hanging in back near bathrooms) We ordered food (wings and most tasteless popcorn chicken probably ever made) around 1045pm and the female bartender with short black hair is spraying Clorox all around bar. Spoiler she wants to close early. Really appetizing when your eating. A freaking Clorox smell. Seriously. Between weed smell and Clorox it was really hard to tell what was less appealing. My wife and I went out for a date and have never experienced such an incident as we did tonight. We both work in the service industry and are absolutely disgusted with the way that we were treated. Our bartender was not happy with the way he was compensated ultimately because of the way he treated us so much so that he felt the need to chase us to the car and verbally assault us. Using profanity, as well as yelling at us to never come back after spending a decent amount at the establishment and chased our vehicle. We have never experienced such disrespect. Took my kids there to watch the Celtics and have some wings. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. The food was good, but not overly great. I ordered the mango habanero, and expected to have my breath taken away, but instead there was not much heat. Instead of the traditional chicken wings, I got the boneless and found them to be a mixture of broken pieces or small pieces. My disappointed with the food stops there, because the chicken was delicious, and the sauce was good, and flavorful, just not as spicy as I would have liked. The atmosphere was loud, but nothing that we could not handle, after all the Celtics and Heat were on one television and the Kings vs Devils on the other. It was rather pricey ($8.00 for a kids meal?) But again nothing that I couldn't live with. read more

Used to stop in quite a lot in the past & always enjoyed the food, BUT after stopping by the other day probably will NOT go back again! I was in the area on another matter & remembered how good the garlic parmesan wings were, so stopped in to grab a half dozen to go to have later on for dinner. I put the order in and grabbed a Bud draft while waiting, I know they're there to make a profit but $3.50 for a draft, jeez, got the wings & left, Later on took the wings out of the bag to warm up & was surprised at the 'crappy' size they were, although the flavoring was great I couldn't help thinking that the Tyson frozen wings I had a couple weeks ago were meatier if that's even a word & there was about 20 of them in the bag for the same price! Went to Sliders today for the first time in a little over a year, figured we'd give it another shot. We were sat at a high top in the bar area and after 25 minutes of no service we left. Waitstaff, manager, etc all busily rushing by. The hostess at least wished us a good day on the way out, must also have been unaware that we sat unattended for so long. I was really kind of disappointed last visit. Happy Hour is from 4:00 to 6:00. When the bar clock read 4:02, I asked the bartender if the 1/2 price wing (happy hour) had started. She said.."nope". At 4:15 bar time, she said happy hour had begin. Interestingly enough, when the bar clock read 6:00, happy hour was over. So, basically their happy hour runs from 4:15 to 5:45. Sliders is convenient but best enjoyed when it's not busy. I'm a finicky wings eater. I only like flats and I like my wings really well done. When it's busy here there is no point in requesting the wings well done because they will still come back that questionable gelatinous texture that I hate. FOR NO REASON I had never been here before this past Sunday. How is this possible???? Hubby decided he was craving wings and other comfort food for dinner so we ended up getting the sweet and spicy wings, grilled cheese bites with tomato soup and the soft pretzel with honey mustard dipping sauce. One word: GLORY. The wings were some of the best I've had if not THE best. The grilled cheese bites with tomato soup was genius! I could have eaten that entire app by myself but I was trying to control the binge. The soft pretzel was also delightful! Went here with the hubby for lunch the other day and had their special with the wings, fries and coke slaw. We had their buffalo nachos as well. The nachos were tasteless and the cheese melted them into one crusty, hard pile of chips. The wings were ok, they give you about 8 fries and a spoonful of bland store bought coleslaw along with it. Watched the bar tender pick up the phone and immediately hang up when the phone rang, waited over an hour for nachos and was served what had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for 50 minutes. It's a friendly bar with decent food. If you're drinking and you're hungry then all is right with the world here. I don't do cartwheels over the food, but the staff is friendly and there are a lot of options on the menu to choose from. I also like the after 10pm happy hour menu. It's perfect. This is the original Sliders - it is a bar, not a restaurant so smaller than the other two (Southington, Berlin). Contrary to what others say there IS waitstaff after 5pm M-F. If you go during the week the bartenders do a great job to get your drinks & food to you quickly.. Everthing is very good, portions are the same as the other locations.. The bartenders are actually a LOT nicer then the ones in Southington.. The beer is nice and cold in cold glasses - you just don't get that anymore.. So if you want a good, comfortable bar this is the place in Plainville.. Enjoy some Insane wings or try the Hall of Famer burger (if you dare!!!) read more

If at 10/11pm it isn't busy (which sometimes is completely dead) the bartenders would just do there side work and completely ignore us, admitting they just want to leave making us feel so unwelcome And more importantly in my experiences Last week They're is an older blonde bartender there who has always been rotten to my friends and she was blatantly RUDE and embarrassed me. They're was a couple sitting next to me that it was her birthday so I asked to buy them shots and when she didn't know how to make the shot I asked for she got so mean and said she'd make something else similar and then when I looked at my friend and said we should go and I felt uncomfortable AGAIN so the old blonde yelled to the birthday girl " well since I'm such a terrible bitch I'll buy you your birthday shot" embarrasing me while i was trying to do a nice gesture. she then just ignored my friend and I until we kept asking for tab after dropping off the tab went to other CUSTOMERS at the bar bashing us saying who cares it's not like they were going to tip anyways. So embarrassing, so rude, so unnecessary. When I have told people about this they know exactly who I'm talking about saying she is only nice to men thinking women don't tip. So my suggestion is, if your going out to enjoy your night with your friends and see an older blonde lady with shorter curlier hair either leave or don't sit at the bar When i have sat at tables the waitresses were aways great! The wings are amazing!!! It wasn't once, twice, three times. It was several times of the bartenders and her in particular that went out of their way to make my friends and I so uncomfortable and unwelcome there Berlin and southington does not have this problem! We really enjoy going here for nachos and wings. On Tuesdays, thru the summer they have 2 for...buy 6 wings and get 6 wings free. 6 wings with one sauce and you can order the 2nd batch with a different sauce....soo delicious!!! This is probably my favorite Sliders location, and it's the original. I give it three stars because it's traditionally great for what it is, which is a sports bar and wings joint with a few other tasty menu items, a jukebox, and a lot of tvs. It used to be one of my favorite bars, but I actually think it's gone downhill a bit in the last year or so, mainly since the change in management when it pivoted to try to become more of a family-friendly restaurant. The first change was when they stopped serving pitchers of beer, and a menu change followed soon. I've tried a few of the newer items, and haven't been blown away. The best things on the menu are still the wings, but even those seem less consistent these days. When they're good, they're great- perfectly cooked, spicy but with plenty of flavor, even on the spicier ones (I love the Insanity Sauce). The fries are good also, and one of the appetizers- the grill cheese bites- is great. The nachos are also wonderful, and huge. I still get a sliders wings and nachos craving here and there, and this is the place I go when that happens. I hope they focus more on keeping their wings consistently great in the future. read more

Been here twice, maybe three times tops. It's a typical sports bar, but very small. I hear their wings are good but I haven't tried them. And there are no servers, so you gotta be the self-starter type if you want anything. It gets really crowded, so if you're claustrophobic, I wouldn't recommend it. It's not a bad place, and if you're just getting together to watch a game with some friends and have a couple beers, it's a good destination. Plenty of parking. read more

I love Hot Wings. Unfortunately the greater Hartford area doesn't have many high profile options. Sliders was one of the few that I hadn't yet tried so when family came in from Upstate New York (HOME of the Buffalo Wing) and there was a Syracuse B-Ball game on TV I thought, "Perfect, We'll go to Sliders for dinner!" I'm letting you know this because I think it's fair to say that the group was pretty hyped up for our meal. Sadly Sliders didn't deliver a transcendent wing experience. We ordered three flavors: Hot Buffalo, Mango Habanero and Honey Chipotle. The Hot Buffalo was actually pretty tasty (not as spicy as their menu "warns") but the wings came out COLD! It's hard to enjoy cold Hot Wings... The Mango Habanero was flavorless but they came out hot and crispy; what a tease. The Honey Chipotle was actually pretty good but a little too sweet for me and without spicy wings to balance them out got old fast. I am willing to give Sliders another shot, the atmosphere is solid for a sports bar and they have a pretty decent beer selection. I can imagine the wings being as good as I thought they were going to be on the drive over so I'll give it one more try... read more

Best wings in CT hands down. I can't find anything in NYC that even comes close. Candlelight in Scarsdale is the next best thing in the NYC metro area. Whether you get boneless garlic parm or bone-in hot, you'll love these wings. I always get a side of the sweet potato fries well done, and order the honey bbq wing sauce on the side to dip them in. Trust me, you can't go wrong. I make it a point to come here every time I visit my family. read more

This is a good sports bar with lots of TV's. I also really like that I can get chili with my sandwich rather than fries, and any time I get a sandwich I can get it on wheat. I'm a huge buffalo fan, and there sauces here run the gamut from glorified ketchup to melt your lips off, so I can't complain. Original Sliders in Plainville. I've only had their wings and that's probably all I'll ever have. Tonight we got garlic parmesan, strawberry jalapeño and General tso's flavored. All delicious. Normally I ask for wings crispy or well done but I don't have to at Sliders. They are always perfect and crispy. And they have 23 ounce beers. The Harpoon IPA goes so perfectly with the wings. And they have Monday-Friday 4-6 & 10-midnight 6 wings for $4 and Tuesday's buy one get one wings. Great deals!!! read more

Sliders has just been getting worse and worse. I said I'd Never go back again but I got dragged down with some friends after work reluctantly. The Service is just absolutely Awful! I feel like I need to set off a Flare to get the Bartenders Attention just to get a drink and the Woman behind the Bar seemed like we were bothering her when we tried to get drinks. She was to busy talking with some guy sitting at the Bar and the other Bartender was busy making drinks for the Waitresses so we got stuck trying to get this other woman's Attention so we could get a Drink. There was 4 of us so after waiting for ever to get a drink she finally took our drink order and she seemed like we were bothering her and we told her after she gave us our drinks that we'd like to order some food and she said ok and just walked away and went back to talking to the guy who seemed like the Only person she wanted to talk to. So the wait began. So I said to my co-workers "see this is why I didn't want to come here" and then I said let's see how long it takes to put our order in. So we waited, and waited and mind you it was Happy Hour and we wanted to put our wing order in before Happy Hour ended. So we tried signaling to her and one of my friends that was with us ended up walking around the bar to were she was standing talking to they guy who she was giving all her attention to and he asked her if she could take our order. He said she rolled her eyes and said she'd be over in a min. Well the min ended up being almost 15 min and by then most of us were just about finished with our drinks. So when she finally came over she asked if we wanted another round and we replied yes and that we wanted to also place a food order. So she made us drinks and never took our food order and walked back over to the guy. She Never took our order! So I walked over to the other bartender and asked if we could place a food order and she said yes and that she would be over soon as she finished making drinks for the waitresses. So about 5 more min went buy and she came over to take our order but by then Happy Hour ended. I told her that we have been trying to put a food order in for the past 20 min and that we told the other Bartender but she was to busy talking to the guy on the other side of the bar and explained that we have been trying to get her attention but the guy seems to have all her attention. She said sorry and that she was making drinks for the waitress's and to her credit she was but the other woman just stood there talking with some guy and could care less about anyone else. After we explained everything to her she said sorry and that yea the other Bartender was pretty much useless in so many words. So my friend asked if we could get our wings for Happy Hour price and she said no because that when Happy Hour Ends that the register would not allow her to give us the Happy Hour Price. Honestly we got there in plenty of time but the Bartender was to busy just talking to the guy that we couldn't get the Happy Hour Price. So we asked to talk to the manager and again we waited for 10 min or more for the Manager to speak to us and we explained the whole situation and the Manager apologized and said that we would get a round of drinks on the house but wouldn't Honor the wings at Happy Hour Price! We were Hungry very Hungry we came from work and got there totally in time but missed Happy Hour simply because this Awful Bartender was too busy talking with some guy! This kind of thing Happens all the time at Sliders that's why I stopped going there. My Co-Works all agree NEVER EVER AGAIN! The wings aren't bad but there Deff not good enough to go threw all that. I used to go there a lot years ago but and things used to be good there when there were only 3 Locations now that they have a bunch of New Locations Service and Quality have totally went down the Tubes! How they stay in business and keep Opening new locations is just Baffling! Seems like the more locations they open and Bigger they get the Worse they get.
