We stopped in at Slim Chickens on March 11, 2025 to dine in for dinner! The service was wonderful and we were immediately greeted by Kentra and Asia. Asia took our order and Kentra brought the food out to our table. The dining room was clean, there was no visible crumbs or trash anywhere. Kentra and Asia were both walking around the dining area checking in on guests and asking if they needed anything, our family included. The food was HOT, the chicken was perfect, bbq sauce paired perfectly with the chicken and fries. Mac and cheese was INCREDIBLE, along with the Oreo milkshake! We were super impressed by the food, cleanliness, and kind and quality service! Great job to the March 11th evening shift for making our visit so noticeably nice! This is a casual chicken strip joint with several sauce options. I loved that our food came out fresh and the strips were perfectly seasoned. I spent about $13 for a 4 count chicken strip meal with lots of friend okra. My ten year old daughter and I shared it, and it was plenty of food for us both. We ordered from the counter, then the strips were brought to our table. Staff was friendly and we enjoyed our food. Stopped by to pick up lunch for a group. Never have been before, picked up the picnic meal. The menu on drive through did not have larger meals we had to look on line to fine anything other than meals. As need food for a group. Came here after having a long bad day at work and was greeted by Asia and the manager with the long blonde hair. They both were extremely nice and took care of me although they were extremely busy because of the free Leanne meal. I had to wait a little but I didn't mind. read more

It's like a mix of Canes and Wingstop. Nothing particularly amazing about this but it gets the job done. Decently priced as well. Love the glass jar desserts. They are unprofessional at this location. I had two separate orders. One of them had two bottles waters with it. The other had two fountain drinks. I asked for a drink carrier. They told me they didn't have them. I pointed to the drink carriers. They said we only give them out for 3 plus drinks. I asked what Can I do to get one? Can I buy a drink? The guy in the wheelchairs response no it has to be an order with 3 drinks in it. He was rude and not helpful. And the little fella he had manning the front wasn't any better. The place and people are not inviting. The main guy seemed like he will have no consequences based off anything he does. Will avoid this place like the plaque. read more

I've given this place a try twice now. Was hoping they'd redeem themselves on my visit number 2, but not even close. The drive thru line took over 30 minutes again, they messed up my order forcing me to park and walk in so they could fix it. Once I ate the meal, the food was off, super salty, and fries on the soggy side. Just overall a fail. I know this is fast food, but fast food can still taste great! Please take a page out of the Chick-fil-A manual. In particular how they service people through the drive through as well as how to cook the food! I do have to say though that the staff were really nice. All this place needs is for someone to step up to fix these issues and the business will thrive. read more

I've never had Slim Chickens until they opened right outside my neighborhood. I enjoyed the chicken sandwiches the first couple of times, but the fried pickles were extremely salty. We could not eat them. We dined in, so we mentioned it to the person at the register, and I just told myself, next time, don't order the fried pickles. Today, I hit the drive-through and ordered the Cayenne Ranch sandwich. It was salty, like the pickles. I couldn't eat it, and a couple of bites gave me a stomach ache. It will be the last time I eat there. It is disappointing because it was pretty good the first two weeks they were open. Someone must take the salt shaker away from the person preparing the batter. Hopefully, the owners are reading the Yelp reviews. I am not the only person complaining about salty food. read more

Slim Chicken was my FIRST and LAST TIME, absolutely NOT worth my money. Went on my lunch break today, the fries had a good flavor and were hot. But the chicken wings were so tough and hard! I'll stick with Wing Stop or even Golden Chick! Should have checked Yelp first before going but wanted to try something new. Just because a restaurant is NEW doesn't mean it has good food! Best part was the customer service; the young lady was kind and patient with taking my payment and the other young lady at the window repeated my order to confirm it was right. After sitting stuck in the drive thru for over 25 minutes behind ONE car at the window... I expected WAY better quality than these barely breaded, drenched in oil, fried pickles and the "glistening," way over fried and oil drenched chicken strips! The chicken tenders were thin they shouldn't even be served. The meat was tough and basically not edible. Meanwhile the staff seemed to be having a fantastic time inside while joking around instead of cranking out properly cooked chicken in a timely manner. Absolutely unacceptable wait for a drive thru! The food was AMAZING. Way better than competitors. All of the 14 difference sauces (& yes we tried them all), cookie jar & shake (kids got both) & the service was def worth the small wait. Unlike the other reviews I actually like the tenders with their seasoning and the Korean bbqs wings are just the perfect blend of tang and spice. Biggest issue I have is that in the afternoons the service at the drive thru is agonizingly slow-- I can't wait 20-30 minutes in a drive through, people have and work and have to be places. It would almost be faster to drive down to canes in prosper and get food rather then languish in the drive thru. I've also had workers get rude if they can't hear you the drive thru menu-- Sooooooo many other chicken tender restaurants around that have much better and faster service. These restaurants lack the awareness that service is king on the corridor, hoots just closed a few months ago and had the same issues. read more

Two times, I tried this place out, and this was supposed to be the redemption. I can say it will be my last. We ordered and waited a good 10-15 minutes for food, yet the place was empty. When the food came out, my wife's wings were cold. Its almost as if the people were sitting around as the food got cold. I had ordered the chicken and waffles. Let me say it was a massive disappointment. The waffle was plain and just as tasteless as the chicken. You could barely taste the syrup lightly drizzled underneath. I've only been to Slim Chicken twice. They just opened this location by me. I was super excited when I found out what all their menu offers. The first time was a good experience. The second visit however wasn't. I ordered the Mac Bowl and asked for the regular one. They gave me the buffalo one. I was already home so I wasn't going to go back. Turns out the food was completely cold. I don't live more than 5 minutes away. Also the cheese that was put on top was not melted at all and looked like it was sitting out for awhile. I hope the next time I give them another chance it's a better experience. I know they are new and I'm sure still working out the kinks. Staff is super nice though. read more

The food is good, but the service is so slow! They've been open for a while now, but drive-thru orders take too long to receive.

This was my first time trying this chain. I ordered the 3 & 3 meal, honey bbq for the wings. The fries were cold and hard. The wings were too crispy. And the tenders were too salty. All in all a very unsatisfying splurge meal. The only positive is that the workers were polite and had a good attitude. The quality is not worth a return visit for me. read more

Spent $55.36 for a delivery of 20 wings, 5 sauces, Texas toast, LG Mac n cheese, LG fries, .and potato salad. Order got here MINUS the dipping sauces.Now, mind you, I ordered the wings dry because we all have different tastes. Called the manager who said his name was Elliot, and he offered to* make it right* by giving me a couple of extra sauces on my next order. W.T.H. The potato salad was bland at best, same with Mac and cheese, and the wings were dry as dirt. There won't be a second chance for slim chickens. Just left this place all of 5 minutes ago and may I say the service is not only slow but I was literally IGNORED at the counter. Not really sure what the worker's issue was and I assumed maybe drive thru was busy so they weren't able to help me just yet. However, the worker came to the counter and helped every single person around me, despite me standing there first. After waiting for 10 mins (for a scheduled pick up order) I finally asked my boyfriend to come inside and wait with me as I was beginning to feel frustrated. Once he joined me inside the worker returned to the counter to great him asking "what can I get for you" to which I respond "a pick up order". They completely ignored me, and asked the question AGAIN. All this time I did not receive so much as EYE CONTACT, from the time I walked in until the time that I left. We did not have an interaction at all and I felt iced out. The experience was overall disturbing... I want to be as detailed as possible in this review as a means of documenting immediately after my visit. We do not wish to ever return to this place again.
