On the hottest day of the week..it was like 90 sumthin degrees out that day!! So the manager and one the employees helped push my car into a parking space as I called my boyfriend to come rescue me. Unbeknownst to me, the manager went and grabbed a gas can and put a 1/2 a gallon of gas in my car!! I was so happy and appreciative for him that day!! It was already hot and embarrassed, but that really made my day!! I asked if I can pay him and he said no, just leave a good review!! So here you are!! Good food, terrible customer service. Just now It took them 15 minutes take the order of the person in front of me meanwhile 5 people were able to place their order at the other drive thru line. I've also been the only person the drive thru placed my order, paid for it and then waited 20 minutes for an order of fried pickles. When I asked the person working the window why it took so long they replied, "They're slow back there". Had to try this new spot and I'll tell you for a place that specializes in wings I was sorely disappointed. The wings were not seasoned even a little bit. Tried Slim Chickens for first time & likely last time. Positive 1st...the staff, mostly young people were pleasant. The ice was really good, for real! Now on to the next... they say chicken made to order, I can't tell. It was dry like it was re-fried from previous day and not even hot, Luke warm at best. The fries were cold. Mind you the drive thru line took way too long. One of the staff said we were there close to opening (11:30am) they open at 10:30am and that was possibly the reason for delay. She explained that they clean & sanitize each morning before opening and then begin making fresh food. That's not true based on order I received, not fresh or hot. My co-worker ordered salad with grilled chicken & potato salad. He said salad was good but croutons were stale & potato salad was not good, couldn't finish eating the small scoop they gave him. I wanted to try chicken & waffle on my next visit before I ate my meal today. I will not go back for that & get disappointed. The food is good. The fried pickles are seasoned well. The chicken was fresh and everything was hot. The issue with this establishment is that it is chaotic and not efficient in service. I waited 40 minutes for a curbside order that I placed online. As I sat, I noticed the drive-thru moving EXCEPTIONALLY slow. The line literally stalled about ten minutes between every car. Simultaneously, the staff was running drink orders out to cars randomly while they waited on their food. AND they would walk drive-thru orders out to vehicles out of order; so at any given time, car #4 or car #5 would get their food and drive off. It was one of the most poorly managed drive-thrus I've ever seen. Again, the food is good but the wait time, within itself, is a strong deterrent. read more

My first time trying this service, the line was long but moved along at a reasonable pace. There were many severs (the most I've ever seen at any fast food restaurant). Ordered 3 meals; 2 classic meals and 1 chick's meal and I asked for a receipt since I paid with my credit card (I always like to see what's been charged to my card.) My server told me I would receive one on the bag. I also asked that the meals be placed in separate bags, as I would be dropping of the kids in the vehicle separately. I was told yes. Firstly, the 3 drinks were brought out with only 1 straw. I saw another server coming out and mentioned it to him, he gave me the one in his hand and went back in to replace (he was bring out a drink also), but did not bring me a third. I had to ask 2 other servers before I received the third straw, at the window by this time. Secondly when we received the meals, they were all in one bag, so I had to request 2 addition bags. Thirdly after we drove away one of the girls who ordered the classic meal said that there were only 3 tenders in her box, the other checked hers and found the same. So all 3 meals only had 3 tenders each, even though I paid for 2 classics. Then the receipt attached to the bag only listed what was purchased but had no cash value amount or total information at all. In fact the "receipt" had no restaurant information on it. So here's the deal with this place, If you want the best experience get here early. I'm talking like 11:30 or 12. I had a super last minute order. I mean super last minute, I spoke with the manager and she wasn't sure she could get the order in time. Mind you it was a catering order. It wasn't a crazy large order but it was last minute. Catering orders are supposed to be at least 24 in advance. The staff was able to get my order done within the hour. I wanted to love this place because I kept hearing great things about it. We don't live far from one so I went online to place a order for pickup. I ordered, was ready to pay and then the site asked if I wanted to create a user account, as I do that, the site flashes back and says something went wrong please try again. I looked in my user account to see my most recent order and nothing was there. I checked my bank account to see if there was a charge, there was none. There was no indication on the site that the order went through and I received no email. So I started again, placed my order, clicked the button, again put in my credit card number and placed the order. As my son drives to pick up the order, I receive two emails that show I have two emails, with confirmation of orders - almost identical! I called my son and tell him to go inside the restaurant and tell them that the site charged me twice and that I wanted a refund for one of the orders, and I didn't want the second order (the totals were about ten cents different). My son returns home and tells me that they said no, even though my son tells them what happened with the site. They tell him that they give no refunds, now mind you, I only wanted one of the orders, but they said to him how could they be sure it was the site. Now why would I lie about that and it wasn't like I wanted all my money back, I just wanted the credit for one of the orders. They said no refunds, so they gave me both orders. I will never eat or order from any Slim Chickens again, not that my refusal would make a difference to their bottom line. This is bad customer service, and it was the fault of the site, not me, I wasn't trying to get over on anyone or get a free meal. I just wanted a refund for a duplicate order that wasn't my fault. I was going to refute the charge and have my bank decline the charge, but Slim Chickens did give me the other order (which is how they win), and again I wasn't trying to get something for nothing, and I didn't want to lie to my bank. So they beat me, I was angry and still am, and also disappointed because it wasn't my fault and again, I wasn't asking for anything free.
