We've eaten here probably 5 times in the last week and a half. It's that good. The tenders here are perfectly cooked, moist, and well seasoned without being salty like other places. I always get the Cayenne Ranch with mine and WOW...it's good. We've tried the fries, potato salad, side salad, mac n cheese, and fried okra. Everything is great! The cranberry lemonade is great too! My only disappointment is that they don't have much seating inside. We walked in a few days ago to eat in and had to walk back out and go through the drive thru. The food here is about what you'd expect. Good chicken tenders and decent wings. I was pleasantly pleased with the quantity of fries and there's a nice variety of sauces. I was also very pleased with the service, they were on point and ready. Offering to get your refills at a casual fast food restaurant isn't normal, at least in Hendersonville... I placed an app order at Slim Chickens for curbside pickup. Got there and no where to park so I went in. I asked a young blonde teenager for help, but she said she was off the clock. She then turned around and helped me with everything from my food to fixing my drinks. I didn't get her name, but placed a call to the manager to let him know how AWESOME she was! We have eaten at Slim chickens several times and we are so taken with their saladsthat we always get the slim chicken salad. The salads are good sized and we always have chicken left at the end of the salad! They rudely would not honor an absolutely "good" coupon they sent out, confirmed it was good but said it was dine in only even though it absolutely did not say that and they even admitted that. Slim Chickens is anything but slim pickins! They have a well-rounded menu with lots of options for the whole family. They have a fabulous variety of desserts and dipping sauces not to mention amazing chicken! It's a chain restaurant that I had never heard of it until I tried it and once I had tried it I went three days in a row. At less than 100 cal per chicken strip or wing; I can afford to splurge almost any day of the week. They have mason jar desserts that look amazing and very fresh but I have not tried one since I'm dieting. It's a very fun environment to have a quick lunch or dinner with family and friends. Very clean space as well as friendly customer service. I gave it two thumbs up for sure. It can certainly compete with Chick-fil-A and Zaxby's making for a difficult decision on those nights you just need some chicken! read more

The Hendersonville, TN location was awesome when they first opened, but my last few visits to Slim Chickens were very disappointing. I sat for 40 minutes in their painfully slow drive-through and when I got home with my food, my order was wrong, just like my previous experience. But this time, the food was awful! One wrap had a huge wad of lettuce and a tiny piece of chicken, and the other wrap had no lettuce, one minuscule bit of chicken, and no sauce. The sauce being the key ingredient in the flavor of a Smokey Chicken Wrap. With both wraps containing "slim" amounts of chicken, this restaurant is certainty earning their name, "Slim Chickens". read more

My wife and I went through the drive thru to grab a salad. The salad was not very good and it came with a drink whether you want one or not. Very expensive and I told them I didn't want a drink, but since it was the same price I took a sweet tea. Shouldn't be made to pay for a drink. Zaxby's salads are so much better. My wings were horrible BUT, most the other food the family got was great. I personally had the buffalo chicken wrap, the chicken was good, it was juicy like others have mentioned, but it was way to spicy. I think the average person would probably like the spiciness, but i'm not average. So you might want to get a taste of the sauce before ordering. I would recommend going here, but wouldn't go back for wings and will just order a different wrap next time. Glad it is here instead of the doughnut place we had here before! This is probably the 3rd time I've ever been disappointed at this location. I would never go back around the time they are just opening. I live about 5-10 minutes from this place and when I got home, the wings were cold, dry, hard, and shriveled up. Not what I'm used to from this location at all. I honestly think they gave me chicken from the day before Only a few were actually edible and I just threw the rest away and ate the salad I got with it. French Fries were tepid cool and stale. The toast was soggy and likewise tepid. They were busy and producing many orders during my visit. Service was friendly enough but the food was was only fair. Ok, so I love coming to Slim Chickens. Has always been great food, but here recently I have ran into who I THINK is a manager a couple times. He's a shorter bald man with glasses. The way I've heard and seen him act towards his employees is beyond unprofessional. I have heard sexual references to girls who look like they could be young enough to be his daughter. They might not know it, but their voices project much further into the dining room then they think. There's much more to this, but I will NOT continue to keep coming to Slim Chickens if this is what is going on behind the scenes. I have worked in plenty of restaurants myself and know that this is unacceptable. I love the food, but here recently my food has been dried out and can just tell whoever made it didn't care at all. The standard needs to change. Otherwise, I don't see this company lasting much longer in Hendersonville. I didn't want to post something so negative about a place I enjoy going to, but I can't keep quiet any longer. Sorry, not sorry. Hope it gets better... read more
