First, I like the food here. The wings are good and the tenders are as well. I like the option to get grilled food in addition to fried. That said, the last few times I've gone through the drive-through it has been a horrible experience. For the third time in a row I have basically had to re-order my food at the window because the staff, which appears to be made up of mostly high school kids, was extremely disorganized. I had to go back inside twice to have my order corrected because I was given someone else's food and drink. The staff seemed more preoccupied with conversing with one another than they did doing their jobs. There is nothing wrong with hiring younger staff, but they typically require management to keep them on task. I won't be back. read more

This is my go-to fast-casual chicken place. I love their wings with buffalo sauce and they have several sauce options. I have been here many times since their opening and I will continue to come back. The service is usually quick and friendly and I've never had a problem with a wrong order. My only complaint would be that the wrap has too much lettuce and not enough chicken for the price (two chicken strips) and there is a serious inconsistency with the amount of sauce they use. My wings are either drenched or lightly covered and never in between-I like a medium amount of sauce every time. Today I lost my slim chickens virginity. I tried it for the very first time after contemplating it for way too long. Now I wish I had gone there when they first opened. I've been missing out. I ordered the chicken strip dinner, I think they call it Slim chickens plate. It comes with five chicken strips french fries, toast, and a drink. The chicken was crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. I can tell you I liked it much better than their local competitor. The french fries had good flavor, but I could tell they were not hot out of the fryer. I'm not sure if the toast makes sense with the plate but I did eat it. Nothing special. Filler food. NOPE. If you gotta have fast food chicken, go to Churches or Canes (in my opinion). I had a very expensive (over 10 bucks) 6 wing meal from Slim at this location and I would NEVER have it again. I can get better wings at my local Chinese takeout. The wings come in a sauce, I chose buffalo and yes it tasted like buffalo, but the wings themselves had the texture of boiled chicken. There was no crispiness of a fried wing. It was a bland, rubbery-skinned wing covered in buffalo sauce. The fries were tepid and soggy and the "Texas Toast" (what idiot decided that Fried chicken needed fries AND bread?) isn't even "Texas" thick, the defining factor of Texas Toast!! After driving by this place multiple times, I decided to pop in and give it a go. The space itself has a decent set up. I was happy to see they had the Chiefs game on the TV's. The line to the counter moved rather slow, but that gave me time to give the menu a good once over. I decided to go with the hot buffalo and mango habanero wings. The menu said it came with a side, but it's just fries, so they may want to say that on the menu instead of saying a side. At least I'm assuming so, since I wasn't asked what side I wanted. The wings were all cooked well. I liked the flavor of the hot buffalo, but the sauce was rather thin, as it was mainly at the bottom of the basket under the wings. The mango habanero was thicker, but a bit too citrusy for my taste. Both flavors did have a decent heat level. The cayenne ranch dipping sauce was good also. First time in today. Walked in so I'd have some time to read the menu. Had just gotten "new eyes" and tested 20/20 near and far, but the graphics on the menu board, and on the printed menu itself were way too small, and difficult to read quickly without standing still and paying special attention. Also, the noise level in the restaurant was near painful, despite the fact that I love the Delta blues that was playing and used to play blues guitar myself for years; it was just overwhelming when trying to communicate. We have been going this location for five years, and it was one of our favorite places to eat at, but, not any more! For the last few months the service and the food quality dropped off so bad , so we talked to the manager and nothing changed, the chicken was dry / over cooked/ under cooked multiple times. Yesterday, I went to get food for my kids, and I was waiting more than 20 minutes ( there was only me and 2 other customers, so I didn't get why it should take that long to get one meal of 7 tenders) , and while I was waiting one of the manager's friends came in and the manager took his order , and the friend got his order before any of the other customers that have been waiting for 20 minutes and maybe even longer ! I got mad and I explained to the employee there that it's very disrespectful and ignorant to do this thinking that nobody will notice or say anything about, I know it's not her fault and she was doing what she was asked to do ! I told her you just lost a customer and asked her to let her manager know that his friend is not supposed to get his food before any of us ( it was me , a mother of 2 kids that are waiting to get their food, an old man in his 60s and another man in his 50s) !! I stopped in to try this place as it is near my mom's house and I was kinda thinking chicken might hit the spot. Don't come here expecting a three piece bone-in dark meat meal. There menu had chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, and Buffalo chicken work a variety of sauces. It also included salad with chicken. I decided on 10 pieces of Buffalo style winds in two different sauces, and orders it to go. I have two stars because there counter staff was helpful and polite however the Buffalo wings were cold. I'm not sure if the meat was warm before the sauce and if there sauce was cold, or if there whole thing was cold. It was only 3 minutes to my mom's house and I was disappointed with the temperature of the food. Additionally, the wings were put in the same to go container. A group of my friends and I went on a Saturday night after soccer, all sweaty. We were amongst other customers and ordered 40 wings and a variety of sauces. The staff was very nice and took our orders with an awesome attitude. They also threw in an extra large basket of fries! They have 10+ sauces you can mix in or have on the side. The wings were good, maybe slightly above average. They were nicely cooked and fried, but honestly they weren't anything special. The sauces were all unique and added a nice touch to the wings. The Texas toast that comes with the meal were pretty plain. But the restaurant overall is very clean and we had a very good experience, as well as a nice ambience of the restaurant. Had to check out the new chicken place in town. As you go in, you are greeted with a friendly face (or multiple!) and you proceed to look up at their big menu and order whatever you like, as long as it's chicken or a custard dessert. I ordered the 3 & 3 plate, which comes with 3 tenders, 3 wings, texas toast, and fries. Overall, nothing blew my mind as far as taste. Even though they say it is "made to order," my wings were cold. I give it 2 stars for it being pretty basic and you could go to McDonalds and get something better. I also ordered their cheese cake in a jar dessert. Now, they gained an extra star here. This is unique and tasted super good! Overall, 2 stars on the main food, and 3 stars for the dessert offering. You could get better chicken at KFC or McDonalds, or any other fast food chain. Went back to try them again after receiving a coupon for a free Chick Plate for my birthday. The service was very fast for my to-go order. The tenders juicy and flavorful and everything but the toast was hot this time. My only complaint is that the container they gave me of Inferno sauce was at most 1/3 full.... and it was a small container to begin with. I BARELY had enough for dipping my three tenders. Nothing for the fries which was very disappointing. The Inferno has good flavor and adequate heat. I'll definitely be getting that again. Let's talk Slim Chickens... :))) The best thing about Slim Chickens is the music and the cranberry lemonade. Everything else (even the salads I suspect) is fried. It's a decent light batter and although nearly everything is fried, it's not at all greasy. But the batter is truly void of flavor and rather boring. That might be purposeful so it's more universally accepted as they do have dipping sauce for about every taste. The Fried Pickles were decent. You got a lot of them for not too much money, the honey mustard and ranch dipping sauces were good. My boy's Kid's Basket had a couple chicken strips, a load of fries and couple pieces of bread. The bread was his favorite part...who knows? My daughter got a thing called a, Slim Wrap and it was exactly what you might expect. I got the eight piece wings, w/o sauce (they were little and pretty dry but it happens. I was able to substitute my fries for possibly the most tasteless cole slaw ever constructed and that was a shame because a great slaw can save an entire meal. In the end, spent $32 and for two kids and an adult it would cost that anywhere we'd gone. But next time we'll go anywhere else. read more

Food was cold and service was bad. Staff working the counter were more focused on their personal life than working.

We've been there many times. It used to be when a company boasted of "COOKED TO ORDER" & [AND!] we expressly asked (practically begged) for, "Please fresh & hot?" then that's what you got. But recently, over the past several months, it's become increasingly CLEAR if the chicken is hot, then the fries are bound to be Luke-warm, or vice versa. At least twice, or more like the last 3 times, we POLITELY asked for "fresh & hot" and it was NEITHER. We spend right near $30 every time we go. Why do we get lied to at least 1/2 (or more like three-quarters) of the time? ... we even say "We don't mind waiting" - and the help just nods and do as they please. Meaning, they could generally care less. The ONE time it was fresh & hot my partner warned the person at the register, "If it isn't hot then we'll bring it back and you can eat it." Remember, this is TWO of us ordering, always politely, courteously, and we've JUST ABOUT given up on going back there - just to be insulted w/ food that's nearly 30 minutes past due date. A group of friends met here for a quick bite. We were very impressed with the service, cleanliness and fresh hot food. It wasn't quick, but that's because the chicken was cooked to order. Worth the short wait! So many sauces to enjoy! The mac and cheese was the best, cheesy and creamy! The grilled chicken and salad was good- the chicken was tender and the salad had a nice mix of greens and veggies. We all had a bite of the chicken and waffles and it was very satisfying. We split a few Cheesecake bite desserts and they were delicious! Served in Mason jars, the portions were very generous. The Peach tea and Lemonade is so very tasty. The man at the counter was very helpful and didn't mind telling us about the different sauces. The girl that brought us our dinners was so cheerful. The restaurant (and the bathrooms) are spotless! While we were on the back patio, a waitress came out to buss our table and clean the other tables. She was very friendly and made certain we were taken care of. Best place for chicken strips as long as it is cooked to order. Because it's better hot off the fryer. I tend to order mushrooms instead of fries. Some people like the fries but the mushrooms are worth the wait and upcharge and it should come with ranch. Now for the sauce's and this is what makes this place stand out. My go to sauce is Mango Habanero and White Gravy. They have many more to choose. After that if you can handle a jar dessert I would recommend right now the strawberry cheesecake. And when they have fruit pies pick all the above. It takes 5 minutes but it's so worth it. And I'm a huge fan of their App. They have an easy way to order to go if your in a hurry and they like to give you $4 dollars for every $50 spent. And if you can convince your friends to use your special code and they download and purchase something you get $4. I just love the App and it's easy to scan the receipts on hand at Slims. To be fair, seeing the responses they leave on negative reviews I don't know why I would have expected to get any sort of apology or even recognition of the fact that an employee made a horrible choice. Customer service clearly isn't this company's strong suit. May 30, 2017 I came to this location this evening to purchase dinner for three. I spent over $65 on what would probably be $15 worth of groceries if I had made it myself. I had no problem paying for this because my last experience here was excellent, the service and the food. Last time I came I ate in the dining room. This time I went through the drive-thru. There were multiple employees with headsets on at the speaker. One of the girls that was helping me was very respectful and helpful. Another girl was making a loud obnoxious laughing sound at the same time. I had to actually stop while I was ordering to ask if everything was OK because it was so disruptive while I was trying to order. When I got to the window the girl who took my payment was again very polite, but as the window was closing another female employee behind her, whose name tag I couldn't see because it was covered by her hair, very loudly said "Why are customers being so bitchy today?!" I couldn't believe I actually heard her say that. When I was being handed my food I asked the girl at the window who was making the loud noises when I was trying to order and she pointed to the same girl that had made the horrible comment. I told the girl helping me that I thought that those noises were very rude and that I overheard the comment that the other girl said about the customers. She apologized but clearly did not know what to say, as if she was embarrassed by the situation. I left her by saying she really needs to be careful with what she says when customers are present. With chicken products being such a saturated market, I could've gone anywhere for dinner. Due to an excellent visit last time I chose to come back here over Raising Canes, Zaxby's, Chick-fil-A, Church's Chicken, etc.... I'm incredibly disappointed by the actions of your employee and truly hope this isn't something your company condones. read more

Normally the chicken is so hot I have to cut it and let it cool before eating, which I like. Today it was barely above room temperature. The fries were the same and just too cold to eat. The first thing I noticed was that for the price the chicken tenders were very small. The fries however were crisp and well salted.
