Good chicken even though a bit overpriced. I won't be back until a waste basket is installed in the parking lot, there ought to be a law!

+ nice building, ambiance etc. to match the best of modern fast causal places. + large and unbelievably tender chicken tenders. really amazing. + large menu, lots of sauces, good jar deserts. - lunch wait was insane. 30+ cars in the drive-through so we went in. 10 minutes in line and 27 minutes exactly to get the food to the table for just two people and a basic dish! they were very busy but they won't be for long if you wait 40 minutes to get food at a "fast" causal restaurant. to their credit they apologized and offered a free jar desert ($5) but it's been open I believe a couple of months now and the lunch waits aren't getting better based on the reviews. - the breading on the chicken is very, very bland. it doesn't taste bad, it just doesn't have any taste at all. It's intentional I assume and the reason for a bunch of sauce flavors they offer. I tried their Slim Chicken and Honey Mustard sauces which were "ok." Long story short? Cool place and great "concept" but the waits are brutal for what the place is and should be and the chicken while very, very tender is very bland so if you enjoy seasoned chicken from places like Chick Fil A, Kentucky Fried, or Popeyes you may not like this. read more

So when Slimmy Chickabowwow came to town I knew there would be a knife fight behind a Shell gas station. I was right. They tied their wrists together and fought it out. You want to know where Slim Cuckoos came in? Second place! The only one they couldn't beat with Chicken in a Basket. But for quick tasty tenders they are gooooooooood. This place is like Raising Canes meets Buffalo Wild Wings and had a child, literally. Except they don't serve boneless wings or as I like to call them "Glorified Chicken Nuggets" but other than that I was really happy to give this place a try. I will be a returning customer. read more

Way over priced. The chicken had virtually no meat on them showing mostly bone at $1 a piece. Barbecue sauce was poured over the top of the wings and not covered. Chicken tenders were small for $1.29 a piece. The whole floor was slippery from dried up greasy mop water. I was having trouble walking with out my feet sliding all over. People were trying to place orders and fill their drinks trying to keep their balance. Said something to the lady at register. She said sorry but no one did anything about. The staff are very friendly. The place is very clean, it is brand new though. Chicken is just ok, fried pickles were unbelievable. The only issue I'd say is seating. Which maybe that's a sign the food is really good? I've been there three times and seating is very minimal. You feel weird as people stand around waiting for a seat. I'm a fan of tenders and was excited that this was opening up in Plainfield. Went here once and was a bit disappointed at the taste of the tenders. Prior to them opening up in Plainfield, I hadn't heard of them but was hoping it would be similar in taste to Raising Cane's. I was definitely disappointed and unfortunately will have to keep going to Raising Cane's even if it's a bit further out of the way. I should caution that I haven't tried any of their other options, but if it's similar to their tenders, then I'd say pass. read more

Have been here 4-5 times. First 2 times were amazing, food was always hot and fresh and workers were professional. The last few times we have been we get either fresh/hot chicken but the fries are cold or visa versa. The teenagers working are loud and act like they are customers in the building, goofing off and talking loudly. Wow. Beyond ridiculous the amount of time I had to wait for my meal. My experience started out fine. Friendly staff. Then it was all downhill from there. I asked for the, "chicks plate" with an extra sauce to go. I waited nearly 15 minutes to get my food! The line waiting for their food was ridiculous. There were about 5-6 employees up front doing literally nothing with one cashier and one food runner. They need to transition those employees to the back. If it is a new location, let it sit for a while before you enjoy it. The local one in Plainfield, IL has too many staff sitting around not enough jobs for each of them. They all gather around behind the counter and socialize. It was not too crowded today so I went with an hour available... not enough time. My friend got her food after about 10 mins, she was almost done and I still had not gotten mine. 30 minutes after I ordered I went up to ask and they brought it out 10 minutes later.
