Things I recommend: chicken and waffles, Reeses dessert cake in a jar. Tenders were juicy, waffles were light and fluffy, and the dessert was awesome. The bone in wings was another issue...I am used to juicy, flavorful wings. These wings were not that. Although they were seasoned well (lemon pepper seasoning was tasty), the wings themselves were dry and not at all worth the $13.99 price tag. I will go back for chicken tenders. read more

I was craving chicken and just happened to pass it and said hey why not! I've seen other locations and my many trips between SA and DFW but never had the chance to stop. Based on the parking outside I thought we'd be waiting forever to order/get our food but nope! When we walked in it definitely was busy (didn't realize it was noon when we got there) but they were very fast! And on top of that, the service was top notch. We were greeted and helped by a very sweet cashier named Mary. She was so patient and kind. My bf and I both got the 4 strip basket, his with buffalo and mine with sweet red chili sauce. While we waiting I decided to use the restroom and it was nice and clean. Gotta love that! Our food came out relatively fast considering the time of day by another sweet woman by the name of Amanda. She came by several times and was very attentive. The food is pretty average, I'll admit (although the sweet chili sauce is to die for) but for slightly over $10 each we got our moneys worth. The chicken and fries were basic which is fine with me because it was exactly what I was in the mood for. The bread is super yummy. Although the location is a bit out of my way, I would definitely come back to try their other menu items. But truthfully it wasn't just the food, but the service that really sets them apart from Raising Cane's or Zaxby's (or any other similar chain). read more

After 8 the food takes a long time to come out so don't go if you're in a rush. Chicken just tastes bland but sauces make up for it.

Yes it's better than Cane's. The 3/3 was pretty tasty. The wings were nice and crispy, so were the fries. The wings were covered in honey BBQ and the tenders cane with a side of Korean bbq, both delish. To top it off the pecan dessert in a jar was really good. read more

Food is great. Sauces are great. Curbside is fast. Now the drive thru is horrid, 90% of the time "in the way" staff gives wrong, incomplete orders or no drinks with combos closes window to talk and laugh with others. Then after you haven't moved they come back as if I'm bothering them to get the rest of what i paid for. Been here twice first time I gave them a pass because it opened not too long ago so I figured staff is still learning... no pass second time... Both visits I asked for 6 pc wings with both Lemon pepper and Buffalo on all the wings mixed with extra lemon pepper (I even told them I would pay extra for extra seasoning). Food was delicious, I ordered the Chicken and Waffles which was very freshly made. The waffle was good and the chicken was crispy and perfect with the syrup and butter. I also ordered the 3-tender salad with cayenne sauce which all mixed together was awesome. read more

Been here quite a few times and everything is always great but in my recent visit, I met Michael, ran me down the menu in a matter of 3 minutes and found out new menu items. This time with Michael was THE BEST, ran me through the rewards program and so quick to download. I live about 40 minutes away and now because of Michael, making this a weekly trip to slim chickens. This location was great when they first open, and has quickly gone down hill. Service is great and fast but the food is skimped out on. Full price for puny wings and nuggets sold as tenders. If their was such thing as wagyu grade chicken, it's coming from here. This is the holy grail. I have been to countless chicken spots, Canes, Zaxbys, Chicken Express, Bushs, you name it. Nothing comes remotely close to this place. My review is on the food, menu, and service. I got the 5 piece meal which came with toast, fries, two different sauces, and a drink. Chicken tenders were 10/10(best Ive ever had), Fries 8/10, toast 9/10(best toast Ive had), gravy 8.5/10(best gravy out of all the competing chicken spots), cranberry lemonade 8/10. I, myself, love spicy so I got the Insane wing sauce as one of my dipping sauces and when I say, words cant do it justice I mean just that. My whole life Ive collected hot sauces and tried every hottest of the hot sauces from everywhere known to man. The balance between level of heat and flavor was so perfect I couldn't honestly say Ive ever tasted a better hot sauce that was able to fully accentuate on flavor while meeting a high level of spice like this one does. Amongst close to 200 different hot sauces Ive tried I wouldnt give any a 10/10, this one gets an 11/10. The atmosphere was surprisingly very fitting, nice modern but somewhat southern feel to emphasize on where the roots of the establishment come from so pretty cool and employees, though on the younger side, seemed to all work with sense of urgency and maturity that you dont see often in places alike, they all seemed to show care in what they were doing. Specifically to commend the girl who looked to be working the to-go running back and forth while helping guests and kids in the inside with what seemed to be such a bright/welcoming character. The menu as I didnt notice going in but on the way out from posters up on the windows had things like a mac n cheese chicken bowl, chicken and waffles, and the big trending chicken sandwich circulating everywhere. read more

Hot flavorful chicken, lots of dipping sauces to choose from plus their own Slim Sauce. Although a new restaurant no wait time or if it is during a meal time the line moves efficiently. Kids menu, sides of coleslaw, salad, wrap if you do not want fries. read more

We were in the area and couldn't decide where to eat and what do you know? Slim Chickens was right across the street so the hubby, kiddos, and I made our way in. The menu was a lot bigger than I expected so we took a few minutes to take a look and I decided on the chicken and waffles as did my stepson, my hubby opted for the chicken sandwich, and my step daughter got the chicken tenders meal. Very shortly after we all visited the fountain to get our drinks, our food arrived, fresh and piping hot. I don't know how they do it. We literally had time to sit down before the meals arrived. This place is very good. As far as service, cleanliness and quality of food. The chicken and waffle plate was delicious. The waffle could've been a tad bit more crunchy, but it was still really good. We ordered the fried pickles served with ranch and they have the GOOD ranch. IKYKY! I didn't snap a picture of it, I apologize. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals as the chicken was cooked to perfection and had a very thin batter. All of the sauces that we got on the side were delicious and I would definitely drive the distance to this location from San Antonio to eat here again. Drive by thought we would try. Food is definitely not worth the price it's alright. They gave us fried tenders even though we asked for grilled. They were about to send us off without our drinks so I had to tell them what the drinks were. One of the drinks ended up being wrong. read more
