Went the second time and ordered a large family meal and their register was down but we were in no hurry so we told them that while they do the order we would go down the street to do an errand and come back to pickup and pay for the meal, by the time we got back our meal was finishing up cooking and was given a free drink and a discount due to the register being down earlier. What a pleasure to go in a restaurant and they treat you like an important client, out of all the places I've been to as a veteran truck driver of 34 years, have I ever been treated with such care, they have made us a long time customer. read more

I tried this place because I have seen it a few times and I wanted it to be better than it was. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it's nothing to write home about. I asked for cheese and was told, all they have is shredded cheese (like you put on a salad or potato) and reluctantly agreed. WRONG! Not because of the type of cheese, because I was charged for it and they didn't even put it on the freakin' sandwich! The sandwich wasn't the best I have ever had either.. An off night? It's possible, it was late. Everyone pay attention!!! Went in yesterday and used my card at this location. Around 10pm I started having a ton of Uber charges on my bank card. Totaling over $100! Thought Oh my gosh I've been scammed! I Didn't think of slims as the source until today!!! I follow them on social media and the weatherford location posted they use Uber delivery through another platform. I have loaded a photo!! I called slims to explain only to be cut off, and argued with saying they do not use Uber to deliver. Which I have proof they do. I of course get upset because I can't even say 3 words without being cut off. This all makes sense now...Seriously watch your cards. Someone is running a scam at this location, or their system was hacked. I have never used Uber, or their app, or services. It's funny a company that does I did visit only to have my card number stolen for unauthorized charges the same night. read more

Best chicken place in Weatherford by a country mile. The chicken is fresh, the fries are hot and the sauces are delicious. Fed a family of three for less than $25---if you think that's too expensive you're nuts...Buffalo Wild Wings has way worse food that costs a lot more $$$. Ditto Wing Stop, Golden Chick, Cane's or Chicken Express. On top of that the food here is better than any of those places and the menu includes other items beyond chicken and fries. The guy complaining about the portion size needs to look in the mirror...something tells me nothing short of buffet is likely enough for him. I really wanted to love this place being a primarily eater of poultry. However their chicken strips were average at best, as was their chicken salad (according to my Mom). First time there! Wife ordered a salad with grilled chicken, I ordered grilled chicken strips with fries. Wife's salad was great, my strips and fries were luke warm at best. The young lady that took care of us did take my fries and replaced them with fresh, hot fries. The strips were okay, bug next time I'll probably order fried chicken strips. This place is amazing! We are a family of 8 and there was not one complaint from my toddlers to my teens! I had the chicken and waffles..and I tell y'all it was delicious. The waffle was moist and the chicken hot and fresh. My youngest 3 had the kids meals and this is the first time my 3 year old ate most of his food and did not get down once to run and play during the meal. Although they had cute coloring sheets...the food actually held his attention! My teens had the wings and the Slim and they grinned all the way through their meal. My husband and I enjoyed our meals and the service provided by JESSIE S. Y'all she is super friendly! I appreciate her serving my family with a big smile and lots of warmth. Cane's has nothing to worry about. The tender pieces are smaller and the coating is not the crunchy coating I like. The Slim Sauce is slightly sweet but not nearly as flavorful! I ended up sharing my husband's spicy BBQ sauce. The Texas Toast has the expected flavor but looks like just a piece of white bread toast instead of the thick slice that Texas Toast implies. I will compliment them on being apologetic when they gave us the wrong order number & lost our food. It then came out right away. The only two things Slim has over Cane's is the variety of sauces to choose from and the number of sides offered that can be substituted for the fries. Mac & cheese is one and there were lots of kids eating here. I had the fried okra and it was good. I would only eat here again if Cane's was closed. read more
