What a fun bright place! Am I in Disney World, or Candy Land or both. This ice cream/sweet shop grabbed my attention. Bold vibrant colors always do. There's ice cream, shakes, sundaes, and chocolates in here. They have healthy soft serve options, as well as toys and knick knacks at Sloan's. They call it luxury ice cream shop, probably because it is in Boca Raton At Mizner Park. Whatever it is called, it is in Southern Florida(about 5 locations according to the website), & one location in CA. I love going to places that are not everywhere. We got two ice cream scoops. Two scoops is the least amount of scoops you can get. They should have puppy cups. I think it would be perfect since Mizner Park is pet friendly. Fresh chunky strawberry ice cream and coconut ice cream hit the spot. Sweet, fresh, and refreshing. Definitely check it out. read more

I've lived in East Boca and only been here twice. And after this recent visit I remembered why: it's incredibly expensive. And the ice cream is not incredibly good. And I don't have grandkids or nieces or nephews to bring here to be enamored with all the toppings and visual stimulation and that stuff doesn't do anything for me. All that being said, I'm not knocking the place, and if you have little ones who scream "I want ice cream", bring them there and they will shut up. It's expensive. Small ice cream - 2 scoops - $5.49. Want whipped cream? +. 50 cents. Want a topping? .89 cents each. Oh, spoons and napkins are free. Cookies baked on premises at $2.49 each. The guy who served us was all smiley and seemed to like being an ice cream guy. That was nice to experience. Cool bathroom, clean, all glass, changes shading for privacy when you enter. Took off 1 star cause their outdoor tables, which are in a nice courtyard, need to be kept cleaner. Like, wipe them down a couple times an hour cause lots of kids are eating sitting at those tables and drip ice cream or touch them with ice freaky sticky little fingers. My mind was overstimulated. I loved it! Sooo much going on in one ice cream parlor. Toys everywhere! Even while looking at the ice cream options, you can't help but get distracted by the motor train that's passing by! Got a waffle cone with a scoop of two different ice creams. Silly brainfart, I forgot the names of the scoops. I just know the first one was butter pecan and I liked it but the second scoop was better and it had coffee and chocolate and something else. I had a sample of another ice cream I don't seem to remember but it had peanut butter, pretzel pieces, and chocolate. I really wished I had that on our cone too. The inside felt like I was in Disney. Super whimsical and playful indoors. But outdoors is just as pretty, especially at night at Mizner Park. My honey and I walked around with our ice cream. Could've done better with our ice cream choices but still a great dessert place in the area for a grab-and-go so you walk around outside or sit on the benches and enjoy the pretty nightlife there. read more

Sugar addicts paradise. Not as awesome as the Palm Beach or the Pompano Beach locations but this small ice cream parlor (known for their glass door bathrooms) packs them in. They have loads of flavors but it is also the decor that really makes you want to come in and relive your childhood... look for the little train that runs along the ice cream fridge and give the little ones a thrill. read more

I only tried 3 flavors - but they were all magnificent! I love ice cream so much and my friend and I wanted to find a great place local to Boca (or FL if it's a chain?). Anyway, came across Sloan's on Yelp. I tried the coffee and donuts and the vanilla Nutella. I immediately knew the Nutella was it for me. It was subtly sweet with a hint of Nutella and every once in a while you'd find frozen Nutella globs in there. It was pure heaven. The actual vanilla ice cream was also so yummy. Creamy and tasted homemade. The coffee and donuts was also great but not what I wanted at the time. That has chunks of Krispy Kreme donuts in it!! I would recommend a waffle cone or bowl. This was probably the worst experience I have ever encountered from an associate staff base in my entire life - and I work for a corporate retailer in Columbus, Ohio. My family was visiting Boca Raton for a week trip. We hadn't done this in a while, and Sloan's was on our Mizner Park list to visit. Right next door to this establishment is a little French bakery. When you see French, you think French pastries. What happened next was something I hadn't experienced in my years of being a US Citizen, living as a proud Persian American woman. My father, a successful middle-eastern Doctor, walked into Sloan's after peering into the French Bakery. He asks two sales associates (ones name was a female named Mia and the other younger gentleman was about 5'5, 130 pounds, white and blonde hair wearing a cap) if Sloan's also sells croissants (because they are right next door to the French bakery). The two associates ask my father to repeat himself several times and when they are finally competent enough to understand through his accent that he has worked years to minimize, THEY START GIGGLING to themselves, in FRONT of me, his daughter. Not only am I present, my mom, sister and brother are there as well and saw this all go down. The boy mocked my dad to MIA, the female sales associate and I asked her if something was funny. I repeated myself twice as if she didn't hear me. They then proceed to mock my family as we are all standing right there. As I, my brother, mom and sister exit the establishment, I turned around and noticed them laughing as my father was asking about one of the ice cream flavors. He stayed back a little to look at the ice creams. Please note, the ice cream here was not good. I would give it a .5 if I could. My father leaves Sloan's and I linger behind. I walk back into the establishment and tell both associates how disrespectful and inappropriate the behavior was. The manager, BRI, was on the phone "with her boss" the entire interaction. Bri offered us "cakes and cookies" but we didn't want any more sub par sweet treats from this disgusting establishment. We paid our $28 and my family left. There are six associates just hanging around mocking Middle Eastern customers, on the clock. If you have the audacity to make fun of ANY customer, wait until they are gone - better yet - DON'T. BECAUSE WE ARE PAYING FOR YOUR SERVICE. It doesn't matter what the color of your skin is, we are paying for this service. Please note: if you're looking for a racist, sub par ice cream establishment, please look no further than Sloan's in Mizner Park. I have never experience this type of mockery to my face, or any of my family members and will not stand for it either. Absolutely disgusting behavior by the sales associates and staff and what a sad excuse for a store manager. read more

Ah to look for a decent ice cream place, the search is often long and gruesome. WELL LOOK NO FURTHER. Sloan's not only greets you with its tantalizing trebuchet of treason to the healthy and practical, but it overwhelms you with its grandeur and polish. All of the Flavors at sloans are free of dye and artificial flavor. I cant find a thing wrong with the place. its driving me mad. it is so good that i just might try to finesse my way into working there and blackmail them with a bad review if they try to tell me otherwise. Stopped in after picking up my son from school to grab some ice cream. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable on the products that they sold. They seemed pretty young, which is usually expected at places like these. There are a few novelty items for sale that you can get there such as invisible/disappearing ink, etc. the fresh baked brownies looked amazing! I ended up getting the brownie sundae which was very good, except there was way too much whipped cream on it. Other than that, I had a great experience. Stop by there if you're ever in the boca area! P.S. You can always ask for a sample of the ice cream if you're feeling indecisive :) read more

Sloan's is so whimsical and we pass by it often when we're in Mizner. This is comparable to me to a Coldstone or any other kind of speciality ice cream store. My friends and I stopped here for dessert after having dinner and drinks at the Dubliner. There's so much to choose from, but I ordered their chocolate Oreo ice cream and added Reese's peanut butter and Kit Kat. It was so freaking good and when I'm looking for an ice cream fix, I'll be sure to come to Sloans. They have a variety of flavors and toppings to choose from, as well as milkshakes which are also tasty! Sloan's is definitely worth stopping at if you're around. read more

good ice cream, though expensive. there were 2 employees, taking care of 1 person and totally ignored us. after they were done assisting the customer, he and his friend walked out and reached over the counter, stole a candy apple, which the servers did not even notice. the worst thing was the girl working behind the counter, was so rude and gave us such dirty looks, was annoyed that we asked for a lid for the milkshake. terrible customer service! will not be back to this location ever again! read more

The service was terrible and the store is run by kids who look miserable. Brandy (who is the MANAGER!) had no care for the customer and was very unprofessional to me and my family. Stepping into Sloan's feels like you've stepped into Barbie's ice cream shop! From the fuschia walls to the angels swirling above you on the ceiling to the girly chandeliers, its frilly and frou frou and you will love it! They have a cornucopia of flavors to choose from but alas, I had to go with carrot cake ice cream! When do you ever see carrot cake ice cream anywhere?!? The chunks of cake were blended into the creamy ice cream and it was amazing! I also tried their dark chocolate ice cream and that was great as well. The strawberry ice cream my friend ordered was one of the best ones I've ever had- you literally taste the fresh strawberries. They sell other candies & chocolates as well but I don't know how good they are- I've only ever had their ice cream and that's enough for me! One more thing...make sure you check out their bathroom- it's the neatest thing ever! read more

Well the ice cream is good the lack of social distancing is what brings the rating down. When we walked in everyone was on top of each waiting in line. I decided to put some space in between myself and the party ahead of me and a group of people just cut me--unaware of social distancing guidelines. The man serving me ice cream was very nice but someone should be enforcing the COVID-19 guidelines. I recommend going during a quiet time to avoid this disaster--not even for covid reasons, just if you don't like being stood on-top of. read more

This is a nice place to bring a child or a date for the first time but it's definitely not a place to go for ice cream. Besides being overpriced and crowded, the quality of ice cream is far less than other establishment in the general area. I gave it a three star because it's a unique place and that's located in an area where you can take a nice walk. The staff was very friendly and operator of like a fine tooth comb. My preference would be jaxsons in Dania Beach as the go to place for ice cream in the Tri-County area. I doubt I'll go back for ice cream again because I'm used to much better but it's definitely a place you should try one time for nostalgia read more

I came in here with a friend during Tastemakers, they weren't participating in the event, but we were craving for some sweets and decided to pop on over to Sloan's. I saw that they had dark chocolate covered orange peels! I HAD to get them as they're a rare sight (other than Palm Beach Confections at Town Center) in sweet shops. I asked for 5 pieces and it was about $5 dollars for it, not bad. The hard drizzles of chocolate look so appealing and the peels were of perfect flavor and substance. I'll have to say that I believe that these are better than the ones at the sweet shop at Town Center... for now! Also the guy who served us was soooooo sweet! I enjoyed his sweetness.... well duh we did feel like little girls giggling in a sweets shop. :) read more

Although Sloan's can have a crazy line, it's matches the crazy fun atmosphere in the candy and ice cream shoppe. When you enter the establishment you don't know exactly where to look, it's like being in Mr Mogorioum's wonder emporium. When you walk in immediately on our right hbd side you can find all sorts of candy you can purchase by weight. Some of my favorite things from this section consist of white chocolate break up, peach rings and chocolate covered gummy bears. They also have over like 15 flavors of ice-cream, all being super fun and creative. I don't even know if they have a basic vanilla flavor. You can have any ice-cream flavor or combo turned into a milkshake! This can be so tasty, however it ou have a flair that has something hard in it, sometimes it isn't easy to swallow. They also have cookie ice-cream sammies, root beer/cola floats & banana splits AND tons of really fun/cute/expensive toys. Also the bathroom d a really cool door, when I was there last it was being repaired sadly. read more

ICE CREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You see that photo of the flower pot? Yea, that's got my name written all over it! I dig that cute touch to desserts that I already can't resist. When you put the Oreo pieces over three scoops of ice cream as the "dirt" and cover the ice cream with fudge and top it off with a paper flower, you better believe I'm going to order the crap out of it, time after time! Check out their bathroom too! It's a clear door that will fog up when you lock the door. It's pretty damn cool. Just saying... AND!!! I got to keep the flower pot they serve it in as a souvenir! I'm being careful and only had a little bit to taste, but I could tell you it was luscious and it was calling my name. I hung tough and Paul had to eat the whole thing himself. He was smiling from ear to ear. We sat outside at a table and chairs as we indulged.

The employee also wouldn't let me sample 3 flavors, which has never happened to me at any other Brendy's. Then to top it all off, my friend's credit card only processed the change amount instead of the full total, and the interaction afterward was just awkward and rude. Honestly, the whole place just felt off. Between the stale toppings, weird interactions, and overall condition of the store, all of us actually felt sick afterward. I've never had an experience like this at any other Brendy's location, which made it even more disappointing.
