Got slowpokes with my friends and it was phenomenal the workers were so nice too! I wish we had a slow pokes in Pearland or Friendswood area

Great spot ( I only had drinks so far and haven't tried food) and perfectly placed to accommodate anyone at Levy Park! I'll be back.

Ok I very rarely leave reviews.... but my $12 sandwich was so so bad. I couldn't not post this photo. Mind you... this was after I asked the employee at the counter if I should order this, the breakfast bagel, or a turkey club. They told me that all three were fine and basically "idk". Which... ok I guess. But then I receive this as my "turkey pesto panino". I was actually kinda pissed, and I know 100% that I'm pretty patient with restaurant peeps.

This is the worst matcha latte I've ever had.

This is the worst matcha latte I've ever had. The service was really bad, too. Don't waste your money.

So this location is nestled within close proximity to the cutest park with lots of surrounding places to check out too. Definitely somewhere I plan to revisit when I'm in the mood for a nice, relaxing day. As far as ambiance is concerned Slowpokes itself gives a quaint, subtly sophisticated coffee spot vibe. Just a disclaimer it does get pretty packed in there! So if you come with intents to dine in or do work, be prepared to share a table with someone or wait for the next available seat. Food was so good and paired so nicely with my coffee. My friend opted for the breakfast bagel and it looked soooo good. Coffee/Lattes truly stole the show. Literally 5/5! I can be a matcha snob but that one was soooo good. Not only was I REVVED UP after having my latte, but it was actually so good that I sat and ordered another drink just to explore their menu more. Only thing I didn't care for was the customer service for my second order (mind you this is the same day). For my first order I was helped by a young lady who was super sweet and suggestive. By the time I placed my second order there was a guy and I was puzzled when he didn't ask whether I was dining in or not and automatically made my second drink in a paper cup. Also it didn't help that this same person didn't really greet my friend or I. Either way though I fully endorse this spot and love it to my coreee! If you're in the mood for some specialty crafted coffees/lattes, look no further! I left there sooooo satisfied. Cheers to one of my new favorite Houston coffee spots!

I visit this location on a weekly basis and I have to say the customer service is always superb! One of my favorite go-to drinks is the strawberry matcha latte. I order this drink minimum 3 days a week. It's the best! For lunch, it's the HTX wrap for me. I've also recently had their purple rain latte. Very yummy!

I love the sloth themed shop. Nice gathering space. I had an espresso and it was quite strong. Ample private lot on site. A lot of people were eating so their food must be good!

Some of our class went to Slowpokes in upper Kirby to hangout during orientation week! This is a nice cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating. It's next to a big park with plenty of attractions and seating as well. There's some street parking as well as a parking garage where your ticket will be comped with a purchase. I got the purple rain specialty latte, which is made with ube and vanilla. It was pretty decent at first but they put in a lot of ice so the drink soon became diluted and did not taste as good. The ube flavor was pretty light but the vanilla wasn't strong either. I was outside so the heat definitely contributed to the ice melting faster but it was not enjoyable to drink after that.

Such a great café option right in front of Levy Park, making it a great spot to enjoy a nice spacious work environment and beautiful outdoor views and an opportunity to walk around and enjoy after a day of work! I find the drinks here to be quite good, and I will regularly enjoy an iced vanilla latte or a hot vanilla cappuccino when I visit. The baristas are friendly and give recommendations based on what you are looking for. It is important to be aware that parking is in a paid garage but you can get your parking waived for 3 hours with a purchase if you ask your barista, and you only have access to their wifi for 2 hours with your purchase receipt.

I've had my fair share of Paulie's but never had the chance to come to Camerata...until now. I had been missing out for so long! We journeyed from white to red wines throughout the night. We started out with the Babylonstoren, a chenin blanc from South Africa. We then moved into pink (rose) with the Ana Beirut - a blend of cab sauv, syrah, and tempranillo grapes with a bit of skin contact to give the wine the pink color. Lastly we ordered the Guelbenzu - a red blend of tempranillo, cab sauv, syrah, and graciano. This full-bodied red was the absolute fan favorite of the table. Food options are on the light side: meat & cheese boards, bread, and small bites. We started out with the warm bread - while it's normally served with butter, there's an option to switch that out with olive oil & herbs which is what we did. We then went for the meat & cheese platter. We couldn't decide on which meats or cheeses, so we did the option of ordering all 8! This came with 4 delicious meats and 4 tasty cheeses (from Houston Dairymaids), also with crispy fava beans, olives, pickles, and bread. This was a good amount for our group of 4 to share. Elena was our server and she was absolutely OUTSTANDING. She vibed with us throughout the night and made sure that we were well-taken care of. I loved her energy along with her vast knowledge of wines. We got plenty of good recommendations from her during our time there. I'm super sad that Houston will be losing this gem permanently at the end of the year (and even more sad that I only discovered it in the last month of its existence). While I know that owner Paulie won't be moving this venture to a new spot, I do hope a descendant of Camerata manifests itself somewhere in Houston in the coming years.

It's part of the Paulie's Restaurant brands, but completely separate from the restaurant from what I could tell. Parking is a bit difficult, but after a bit of circling we were able to find a spot and make our way in what looked like the back entrance. It was very low key, and despite the sign, the door seemed almost hidden in that back little corner. The staff seemed to have a bit of a hipster vibe-- not unexpected given the Montrose area-- but were very friendly. They offered suggestions, but let us go with what we wanted to try. There's a food menu along with the drinks, but we were heading to the restaurant next door, so we passed on grabbing food. We ended up going with a couple of glasses of red and a couple of the specialty chocolates. My wife loved her salted caramel chocolate. I enjoyed my peppermint chocolate. For the glasses of wine, I've got better at home for bottles the same price as those glasses. My wife really enjoyed the vibe, but even if this place wasn't about to close down, I'm not sure I'd be coming back here often. It's just too hard to park.

I experienced this side of the business during the early phase of the Covid pandemic back in 2020. At the time, during lockdown, going to a wine bar or wine shop just wasn't top of mind. However, I had researched a Cabernet Franc (red wine) called Nicolas Reau Enlèvement Demandé Anjou [Vintage year: 2017]. Reau is kind of a rebel working in the Loire Valley of France who is interested in producing organic, biodynamic wines that are essentially closer to nature and processed differently--more artisanal, so to speak. I read about this wine and wanted to find a bottle locally, which wasn't an easy task as I recall. This is where Vinology comes in. I'm not much of a wine drinker, but had to have a bottle of this excellent wine. Like many people, I preferred to stay indoors during the early part of the pandemic and was kind of nervous about going out. When I called Vinology, I expressed my dilemma, and the guy on the other end of the phone came up with a great solution. He offered to deliver the bottle of wine I purchased to my address. I actually met him at the edge of the garage entrance to where I live. This was great, exceptional above and beyond service. I will always treasure and remember Vinology and plan to support the business more in the future. Hats off to the folks who own and run this wine establishment.

We were able to snag some free street parking and wandered our way into a cute setup with mood lighting and plenty of seating. There's a central bar and plenty of outdoor patio space. We were immediately helped as soon as we found a table which I really appreciated. The menu is HUGE and has anything you could possibly want. We're big red wine fans so we settled on that page. We came in as an impromptu visit after an earlier event and figured we'd just stop in for a glass of wine or so. Upon walking in, the place is super cute with dim lighting and was quite crowded on a Thursday night. We didn't immediately find available seating, but after a couple minutes, a table opened up and we sat there. Our primary server was Grayson, who was super knowledgeable about the wine list. Other servers tended to us throughout the night, and all were equally as knowledgeable about the menu offerings. At the time we went, they were featuring various wines from Beaujolais. We ended up trying one of these, the Alexandre Burgaud Brouilly Rouge, which was a full-bodied red. This was a great recommendation, and I will say that we didn't conclude the visit on only one of these bottles... Based on Grayson's food recommendations, we ended up ordering the Mortadella panini and a combination charcuterie board. The Mortadella panini was unique but good - tomato, mortadella, provolone, and mustard all served on a pretzel bun. Probably not my dish of choice alongside wine, however I did really like the charcuterie board. We asked them to surprise us on the cheese and meat, and they really came through. The prosciutto was tasty and the cheese (can't remember which one) had a peppery flavor to it, which paired well with our red wine. The overall clientele vibe seemed like a range of date nights, girls nights, first dates, and solo drinkers. I love the diversity! We ended up making friends with the table next to us and eventually merged tables to make this a fun group date night. Definitely a highlight of the visit. We will definitely be back sooner than later. This is a cute neighborhood bar that I look forward to returning myself and brining out-of-town guests to come experience. They also have a dog-friendly patio - something to keep in mind whenever the day calls for drinking some wine in nice outdoor weather!
