This is a cool place to grab a drink and/or food right in the Southside. It's situated next to the Color Park. There's some street parking available. My friend and I met here for dinner on a Tuesday evening. We ordered drinks and food at the bar, although carry out is available too. We ordered some beers and canned cocktails, and for our food we ordered pizza and fries. Everything was great. The bartender was really nice and helpful as well. Stopped by for lunch on a Friday while biking on the trail. Ordering was easy at the counter and they delivered it to our outside seats. I love the beer and the atmosphere here. The food is basic bar food--nothing to get excited about. On my last visit I enjoyed a Maibock at an outdoor table as cyclists came and went and trains occasionally rolled by. I also ordered the hummus plate, sans feta, and was surprised that it came with hella greasy pita chips. I would much prefer fresh bread or pita over fried chips, any day. The hummus itself and accoutrements were delicious. Despite the greasy chips, I am glad this place exists and will be back. Really like Sly Fox! I have been a couple of times now and I just love the atmosphere here. There is seating both inside and outside. You order at the bar for both drinks and food and they hand you a number. They then bring your food to you when it is ready. I ordered the burger, fries and side salad. Everything was really good. I also had the hazy beer and that was excellent. The staff are super friendly. Parking can be tough on the street if it gets crowded. There is a parking lot along the trail if needed. If you get a chance take the elevator up to the overpass. It is super nice up there and you get a great view of the city. I will definitely be back! read more

I came here with my staff for a post holiday lunch together. I enjoyed my pizza immensely. Warm soft crust, tomato sauce that didn't overpower the basil or cheese. Dined and shared some brews as part of a large group. Service was fast. Beer selection was big, but not like some places where they're out of half the selections. This was the perfect array of choices for everyone. The food menu had sharable apps, a variety of hand helds, and pizza. Given the giant pizza oven that dominated the kitchen, I opted for margherita pizza plus pepperoni. Fabulous. Table mates had the cheese steak )also good) and the hot chicken sandwich (only ok). Ugh... I'm sorry.. the beer is fine and it's a nice location with tons of space but the food was really terrible :-( First.. the pretzel bites were very weird. Very spongy and overly greasy. I had the chicken bacon ranch wrap and my partner had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and both were pretty terrible. Also.. it took like 5 seconds for everything to come out after placing the order so definitely not fresh. I would go again for a beer but would definitely eat elsewhere. read more

Great treat at the Highline after a bike ride on the rail trail. It is right off the trail. There is ample indoor seating but I opted for outdoor seating on this blue-sky day. The outdoor seating options have umbrellas to keep you shaded. I'm not a beer drinker yet I still very much enjoyed my entire experience. You order and pay at the indoor counter. I then was given a number to display on my table so the server could find me easily. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich minus cheese which comes with fries and slaw. Loved the vinegar based slaw and just wish it was a larger portion. The fries are the best! The sandwich was quite tasty, too. No alcohol on this visit, just a diet coke today. This location of Slyfox has great views and ambiance! Today was the first time I tried their brunch, however, and I didn't love it as much as their regular menu. The yogurt "parfait" was really 99% yogurt with a sprinkle of granola and blueberries. I wish it was layered, like a true parfait, or at least had more toppings. The ratio was definitely off. The hot honey chicken biscuit was 7/10. There wasn't much hot honey flavor, but the chicken was crispy. The biscuit was ok! Def grease soaked on the bottom. The cinnamon roll saved the meal for me. I loved the cream cheese icing. Would come back for the cinnamon roll and probably skip the rest. read more

Staff was not friendly... the beer flight was neat tho. Place was pretty small inside. We saw the cook staff handling trash without gloves.. even spilled the bag all over the floor. Sly fox hosted our post-marathon group run so right off the bat good for groups! Right off of south side river trail, tons of patio room for summertime get together a and a long draft list. Can recommend the sour beer and golden lager, both quite good. We enjoyed our , the pierogi pizza had a fluffy crust and was like a good bacon packed pierogi. Wings had a good flavor, not super crispy. Also keep in mind this is on the rail so a couple trains went by in the hour or so we were here. Would come back. read more

I had brunch at Sly Fox and overall I was whelmed. The food was fine but nothing special, the best thing we ate was the daily quiche special which was well spiced. The beer also didn't wow me, the flavors were mellow and I didn't get a lot of flavor. I think the atmosphere is really cool, and in the summer the outdoor space could be a fun place to hang (if you don't mind the very loud train passing by every so often). The service was good but just know it's like federal galley where you go up and order and get a number, people won't come to you. Not a problem for me, but just something to note. I would come back here with friends if they wanted to go but otherwise I won't go out of my way to come back. read more

This was a nice brewery. I tried a flight of Coastline sunrise, cryo fix, rt. 113, and another IPA I can't remember the name of. The IPAs were all pretty good. It was really busy inside, but we still got a seat pretty quickly! They had a couple of games to play (shuffleboard and corn hole) but there were a lot of people already playing. We were recently invited down for brunch at Slyfox at their highline location and really enjoyed everything they had to offer! This location has a little bit for everyone with a huge patio to check out the city skyline, a cool train car parked out front, and even board games to play with your friends. Their brunch menu offerings are abundant, ranging from bagels and schmear, to their breakfast pizza with eggs, bacon and sausage. On this visit we went with their yogurt parfait, cinnamon roll, breakfast cheesesteak, white pizza, cold brew, and beer flight. Needless to say, we were stuffed by the time we left! Our two favorites that we tried were the cheesesteak and pizza. The cheesesteak had just the right ratios between the ribeye, eggs, cheese and onions. The home fries were seasoned well and were a great side dish. When it came to the pizza, the crust was very fresh along were the toppings. It can be tough to make a good white pizza, but they really hit a home run with this one. Definitely recommend ordering these dishes in your visit. If you are looking for a great place to grab a drink, enjoy the views, and just have a good time, this is the place for you.Make vour way down and give them a try, you won't be disappointed! Although it was Pittsburgh humid when I went, I still loved the vibe and enjoyed sitting outside. They close at 9 and kitchen closes at 8 (makes sense) so I didn't get to try any of the food. However I loved their porter because it was vanilla and coffee flavored, their hazy was delicious and I don't really like beer like that. It was crisp enough it didn't dry you out. Amazing location, it's so great to finally have an option for food and drinks along the 3 rivers heritage trail. Food menu is pretty typical bar apps, sandwiches, and flatbread pizza. We tried the pierogi pizza and hot chicken sandwich. Pizza was a nice rendition of the Pittsburgh 'pierogi' toppings - it was super greasy but a good guilty pleasure treat. Onions and bacon on top we're great. Crust was chewy and airy, really good. Chicken sandwich was also greasy but meat was moist and flavorful. Not as spicy as we would have liked. Fries and pickles we're tasty. The beer options here aren't as varied or unusual as I typically prefer, but I've always thought the quality was good. Never had a dud beer from Sly Fox. Menu is mostly classic German styles and IPAs. read more
