AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!! We have been forced to continue using this company even though they have been unable to fix our oven since OCTOBER 2025!!! 6 visits later, 4 months (it's now Feb 2026) , of them attempting to fix our newer Viking and they tell me it's not our oven it's the breaker. They have 24 hours to submit their report to our insurance and a week after the visit, they still have yet to send in their report and recommendations, which continues to stall our repair. It takes weeks to get parts and they have no sense of urgency to schedule clients once the part has arrived. The technician has not been confident at all in identifying the issue. Just trouble shoots ordering part after part, with no results. I went through Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and now Super Bowl.....with no oven. They couldn't care less, but I'm sure don't mind getting the check for all these visits from my insurance company. Save your time and money....pick a more reliable and professional company. read more

We are dealing with this company through out home owner warranty and it has been a disappointing experience from the start. Today is Sept 16 2025. Our refrigerator stopped working over 10 days ago and the repairs have been assigned to the company. First of all, they have never initiated the contact , it has always been me who has to call them and call them multiple times in order to get someone on the line. After the initial assessment it has been over a week and they would not schedule a follow up appointment in spite of the repairs being covered by insurance and myself. There is no sense of urgency, no consideration for the customer's need in spite of calling and urging them to come and please repair our fridge. I absolutely hate giving bad reviews to small businesses but I am hoping for some visibility into our case so that this company takes some action. I do have to mention that their technician has been prompt and professional during the assessment and did a good job. It's the admins and whoever is scheduling the services is absolutely rude and nightmare to work with. read more

My oven stopped working, I troubleshooted a bit and was convinced the thermocouple needed to be replaced. The technician came and spent 10 minutes diagnosing and told me needed a new control panel. I pushed back but he was certain. I called a week later to check on status and they said part was on order. They reached out a week later to schedule a service to come back, which I expected was to replace the "control panel". They showed up without the part and said they needed to diagnose the issue because my oven model doesn't even have a control panel. So I was lied to when I called to check on the part and the first diagnosis was completely wrong. The second time they came out, almost a month after the first service, they claimed to have fixed the problem by fiddling with some components, but within 3 hours the oven was not working again. I called back to have them come back and they gave me a runaround about needing to talk to the technician. I've switched to a new service provider because of Smart Choice's incompetence. Highly suggest steering clear and finding a more reputable provider. read more

Our front-loading washer's gasket needed to be replaced. Smart choice came quickly to inspect it. It cost us $65 but it goes toward the repair. My 5-year old KitchenAid Dishwasher needed repair and SmartChoice sent Alan out to install a new circulation pump for a very reasonable price. He was very professional and also spotted a leak at the bottom of the washer and installed a new clamp to fix it. The next few cycles, I noticed the heating element was also not working. Alan came out the next day to look at it, taking a lot of time to diagnose and resetting the appliance so that the drying cycle worked again.
