Their app sent texts and I was able to track the technician's arrival time. Christian came to fix our Miele dishwasher. My daughter tripped and fell on the door which got very loose, but the unit was working perfectly fine. He was very patient, removed the front panel and adjusted / fixed our dishwasher. They are super fast to respond and have a fair service call fee at $50 (which goes towards the repair if you use them), but it's total bait and switch. Once the tech arrives, it's all a scam from there. Tech quoted me an outrageous amount for an easy washer fix and maintenance on my dryer - the washer repair costs almost the same amount as buying a new washer and maintenance costs about half of a new dryer haha. He also mentioned that he couldn't do the dryer maintenance until I unclog the air duct (which he couldn't do himself - he said to hire someone else for it). When I asked him for a breakdown of the costs on the estimate and questioned him, he babbled on about additional things I needed that were supposedly included in the fees on the estimate, however, they weren't actually listed on there. Such BS. I ended up doing the repair and maintenance with the appliance manufacturer directly. They did it at HALF the cost, using their original parts, with no wait for parts or scheduling - did it all in one visit! They also told me that my duct was not clogged. Don't waste your time or money with this company! read more

Was referred to this place by my home warranty service to fixy dryer. Scheduling service was great, and as a courtesy even had a tracking system of when the technician was coming. I was given a service window of 11am-2pm; and the service tech Bogdan showed up at my house at 11. He dropped some knowledge on me as he serviced my dryer, explaining the mechanics of how the gas and hot air flows through the dryer, and how certain parts sustain wear and tear. Our gas dryer recently began having a burning smell, then stopped heating. I called Smartchoice based on their positive reviews. They sent out a technician that same day. His name was Bogdan and he was very professional and thorough. He quickly removed the drum to show me how years of lint had slipped past the filter and built-up at the bottom of the dryer, including around the gas ignition valve, which had caused the lint to smolder before tripping a sensor that disabled the heating. He then cleaned out the bottom of the dryer thoroughly, replaced the sensor, and even lubricated the drum wheel mechanism before reinstalling the drum. Our dryer heats and works well again. Smartchoice's fee seemed fair for their excellent service. I would definitely use them again. read more

I can't say enough good things about our repairman, Bogdan. Our relatively (5 years) late model refrigerator started to develop a leak below the deli drawer that was freezing above our bottom freezer drawer. When he came out, he told me that he probably already knew what the cause was, then proceeded to confirm the issue. He explained everything in detail about what was happening, what he would do and what to expect the results to be. The whole visit took less than an hour and now, more than a week later, everything is working great. He was friendly, courteous, efficient and cost effective. AHS contracted out my service to this company. It has been over 2 days now that I have tried to reach them. The email clearly indicates that the service provider will reach out to me within 24 hours. Done with crappy service providers. If you are looking for timely reliable applicable repair companies then do not use this one. You will not get a LIVE person EVER. Just hold music for 2.5 minutes until the prompt suggests you leave a voicemail. I would definitely recommend Smart Choice For any appliance repair. I called them for my washing machine that was leaking. Bogden came out gave me a good deal and remedy for why it was leaking and just charged me a small service charge. I was so happy with his service and fairness that when my dryer had a problem I called Smart Choice and asked for Bogden to come out personally again. I was drying a pillow and it exploded in my dryer clogging everything with those fibers that are in pillows. It also burnt the vent. Bogden took it apart and cleared all that out. He also cleaned everying else. The dryer is 14 years old so it had alot to clean. He also cleaned the outside vent. And he only charged me for a maintenance. If I ever have anything wrong again I will definitely be calling them. So I highly recommend them. read more

They knew immediately the issue was one of a few problems and researched procuring the parts and the cost.
