BROKE AND FRIED MY HAIR " now will need a wig" I went to smart style twice in the month of June 2021 to see the same stylist named Sarah who has been coloring my hair for almost a year now so she knew my hair history . The first time I went in June Sarah messed up on my color as it didn't match my previous grow out color I have pictures of this . so she told me to come back on June 26th so she could re bleach it again. During the second visit she ended up messing up on the process by overlapping bleach on top of my previously double bleached grow out which is negligent because in no way is this supposed to happen because it will cause the hair to totally break where you overlapped the product which is exactly what happen . During the process I told her my hair was looking like it was breaking but instead of washing it off she continued to let it sit on my hair causing half my hair on one side to go from 24inch to 4 inches I have pictures of this as well . Their is breakage all over my head but my right side is the worst And the hair on my head that's left is completely fried past the point of no return . So I ended up going to two different hair stylist at different salons for a consultation on my hair to see if hair extensions could be applied and damage be corrected. Both stylist told me my hair was to weak and would break off even more if they put any kind of hair extensions on me and also told me my hair could never be colored or use heat on it without causing it to completely break off even more hair they also said I would have to completely grow my hair out starting from my scalp because she bleached to my scalp and mite be ear to cut it all over and start over . I shouldn't have to walk around with half my hair missing broken fried and thinning or almost bald if I cut off all the damage due to their negligence . They did admit to their negligence once they saw my hair and refunded my 261$ for the services they charged me when they ruined my hair .but since I now need a wig I'm requesting they pay for wig I'm going to have to wear for 3-4 year before my hair gets back to the way it was before they burnt it and broke half my hair off .I'm requesting nothing more then a wig in the same color length and density my hair would of been before they destroyed my hair . I have emailed the business with the invoice to the wig of that description which is around 1400$ before taxs for the damages incurred by their salon . I received a email back from senior district leader saying the owner of the salon and Business name smart style is list under of KARVID PARTNERS LLC wouldn't cover the wig at all . They instead tried to offer me once a month deep conditioning treatment for 6 months which isn't going to bring my hair back it's fried beyond repair plus I already tried deep condition treatments already and they Haven't helped at all . And a treatment wont fix or replace the integrity length and density they took from me when my hair got destroyed broken and fried off by the salon. I will update this review if they end up doing the right thing and cover the cost of the wig to Cover and fix what they did to my hair . If by chance I have to take them to small claims court I will also update the review if that happens and the outcome hope this review helps you decide if you want to use this salons services . read more

I am so unbelievably mad I can't see straight. Took my 12 year old in for a TRIM of her long, beautiful hair yesterday. Just a trim of long, straight hair. I even pointed to Alleya where I wanted it, which was about 3" BELOW her shoulders. We had waited about 45 minutes so had gone shopping. So once she had my child in the chair, I took the cart of stuff out to the car. When I came back, not only was her hair too short, it was WAY shorter than what I had said. I found out in the car that when my daughter told Alleya that it is shorter than she wanted, she was merely told "Oh well it will grow out!" You don't do this to a girl in Middle School! So today, after realizing that not only is it too short, it is also extremely uneven, I called and spoke to Sarah the manager. She did do a good job of fixing it, but her apology consisted of "I'm sorry you didn't get what you wanted"! Not getting what I wanted is a wrong style. Not 6" shorter than what I wanted!! No refund, no nothing! So now, my emotional 12 year old wants extensions until her hair grows out! She has ALWAYS had long hair. Alleya gave her a trim a few months ago and did ok. I will never go back and I will make sure everyone knows this woman should not be cutting hair. read more

I am 62 yrs young. I walked in the salon inside Walmart on galaxy and met this young lady named Annell. She proceeded to cut color and style my hair. It was amazing!!!! I have not been this happy with a hair style since I can remember. She was full of confidence knowledge and personality. She was awesome. My family and friends could not stop complementing my hair style. They told me I looked younger. I even used the picture on my social media to show my friends and family in Fl. I will never go to any other salon The complete staff there were so great. I would recommend this place to everyone. read more

I've been coming here to get haircuts for a few years now and they're usually pretty decent but I recently had a fairly bad experience. I asked for a few inches off and then long layers which was not what I got...I ask for the same thing every time but this time the layers were chunky and did not look good at all!!! Will probably end up going to a different place for haircuts from now on, seeing as coming here yields inconsistent results. read more

On a whim I took my children here for haircuts, because our usual Jack N Jill Salon across the street was closed this Sunday. Alysia and Erin were fantastic! They were attentive, quick and professional and both of my kids hair looked great. My daughter has really thick wavy hair and I was hesitant about getting the angled bob she wanted but Erin did a fabulous job. Much better than what we are use to! And Alysia listened to my opinionated 6-yr old son and did a great job cutting his hair like the picture he picked out from the style book. Both kids cost me less than $25 together! But I would have gladly paid more for cute cuts and the fast, friendly service we received! We will be back!! read more

I went in to smart style in Lacey Washington on galaxy dr and ended up have my hair completely ruined damaged to the point of not return half my hair is broken off from 24 inches to 4 inches due to the neglect of Sarah overlapping bleach on grown out double processed hair and she knew it was doubled processed because she's had all my hair history and did my color for the last year almost . I went to two different salons to see if extensions could be put in but both stated my hair is so damaged it can't have any extensions color or heat put on it just needs to be cut all off. I told Smartstyle they were responsible for fixing my hair and only way of doing that was them buying me a wig that would be my length color and density that my hair was before the incident occurred which is 1400 I talked with Hannah she said the owner wouldn't pay for it so now I'm ready to take it to court I want this resolved the salon was negligent and I deserve to have healthily hair on my head read more

Admittedly, the stylist who permed my hair was from the Chehalis store, and she is pretty much the reason I will never return. She wouldn't listen to anything, thereby leaving a cowlick looking horrible. I have very uneven and inconsistent curl. The stylist kept yelling across the room (over my head) to speak to the other stylist in the room, and she was very irritated that I wanted her to layer my hair. Now I'm left with uneven curling and uneven layers. She was in a hurry and treated me like it was a contest to see how fast she could herd me in get me out. There's a good reason why paying a little more for a stylist is a smart idea. read more

I went in today to have my hair color corrected from another place and it was a wonderful experience. I had an appointment and walked right in and sat down. I told Erin exactly what I wanted and she was very helpful! She explained everything along the way and what she was doing with my hair and why. I was very pleased with the results!! She told me what to do to help my hair from being more damaged and how to keep it healthy. I loved that I learned a lot and was kept informed. Since I have thick hair, she knew how to cut it so it would fall around my face and not look bulky. My hair feels so much lighter and looks fantastic!! I have tried many, many places!
