Smashburger burgers are always delicious no matter which location. Always juicy, tasty, well cooked and served on a fresh bun. This location lacks a bit in seating... the booths benches are so low that you feel like a child eating at the big people/adult table, so eating is a smidge uncomfortable/awkward. This was my first experience with Smashburger and I am very impressed. Upon walking in, the employee greeted me and was helpful in answering my questions about the menu. I got the mushroom swiss burger with a side of their Smash fries. The prices are a bit higher than other burger chains but the after tasting the food, I feel it's worth it. The burger came out hot, juicy and perfect. The bun was an egg bread and the veggies were super fresh. The fries were really good too, I love the herb seasoning. The place was spotless and customer service was top notch. This just may be the burger place for me until my beloved In-N-Out chain makes its way to Houston. read more

Never tried the chain before, so I was excited to try the new Pearland location. Got the basic burger and fries to go, along with some fried pickles. Upon being handed my bag, I noticed a strange odor. I brushed it off and left. Kept smelling the odor, but couldn't determine what was going on. Got home, smelled each of the burger, fries and pickles, no obvious problem. Must have been the bag itself. Ate about half of the burger and really didn't enjoy it - just had no taste whatsoever and the odor had squelched whatever appetite I had. Fries were meh, as were the fried pickles. Something definitely wasn't right with the meal, as my stomach alerted me about 6 am the next morning. I can't recommend it. Five Guys has these guys beat - there is just no contest. read more

The price is a bit on the high side but the quality of the food is on point but the last time I visit I wasn't too happy how things change. The burger seem very small than usually. This is my 2nd visit...my first visit Deluxe SB & fries....I got it to go, by the time I made it home(4 min. away), my burger was sloppy & unappealing. 2nd visit today...paid for a "Big Smash" bacon burger...very disappointed, not even a whole strip of bacon...a little pricey to NOT HAVE A WHOLE STRIP OF BACON...I ordered fried pickles.... I've been to the Smashburgers in CityCentre and was excited to see one open up in Pearland right next to my former apartments. We were able to go to it twice, once during lunch and once during dinner when it first opened, and it was decent. Service was quick and friendly, and burgers came out quick and fresh. It was a bit greasy and I definitely had to get a stack of napkins to constantly wipe my fingers, but it was a good 4 stars. We went back again towards the end of January when the buzz died down to get some burgers to-go since we were moving to a new place and didn't have time to dine in. It was definitely the worst experience we had ever had getting to-go burgers. There seemed to not be enough workers there that night, and the workers that they did have on duty weren't very friendly or care to have a sense of urgency to get orders in or out. As we were waiting and watching the expeditor along with a few others who had to-go, it didn't seem that she knew what she was doing or knew how to put orders together. It became more apparent when she kept messing up the customers' orders that were ahead of us. I told my bf to make sure to check our order when he received it because I was pretty sure that she was going to mess up our complex order of two burgers and one fry. After waiting for nearly 35 minutes for us to get our to-go order, of course, they forgot the fries. We told the expeditor that we had fries in our order, showed her our receipt, and waited another 10 minutes. She gives us 2 orders of fries, and both fries were so burnt to a crisp that we ended up tossing it in the trashcan when we got home. I was hoping that my burger would compensate for this crappy experience, but I was greatly disappointed. It was super soggy and flavorless. Let me just say that I had to remake the sandwich with what I had in my kitchen (lettuce, bacon, tomato, cheese). If I had known that it was going to take that long or be that crappy, I would have just gone to Chick-fil-a or Sonics down the street. I will probably never go back to that location again. read more

This is a very unique and interesting burger joint. The interior design emits a calm and relaxing feeling. When I walked in there was a line but I didn't feel the rush of the restaurant. The menu is unique as well. They have a lot of options if you decide to make your own smash burger. Also it's the first burger place I've been to that uses goat cheese as one of the option for cheese you can put on your burger. The milkshakes was fantastic. I ordered a Haz Dagen Vanilla shake and it wasn't too sweet or too thick. The cashier was even kind enough to take initiative and asked me if I wanted an extra cup for water. read more

A solid burger at a reasonable price, however the "big" really isn't all that big and is probably closer to an average size burger. The rosemary and garlic fries at This locale were over done and lacked the advertised toppings, however the burger was quite good. Love this place... My fav is the avocado club with grilled chicken, the chicken may be on the thin side but that's what makes it so good and it's much much bigger than the bun. With the add ons that are included like mayo, ranch, lettuce, tomato and of course avocado makes me keep coming back for more. Gross! Been here one time and will not go back. Even if the food was free I wouldn't eat it! We went a few weeks ago on a Sunday. The cashier's clothes were filthy with food stains all over them. The soda fountain had fruit flies flying all around it. The whole place seemed kinda dirty. I love Smashbuger. It has never disappointed me. Its by far one of the best burger places I've ever been to. I always make my own burger and get a side of sweet potato fries for an ultimate delicious meal. If you don't eat beef, they also have amazing chicken sandwiches. I ordered to go a Bacon Avocado burger & my Avocado still had a big piece of the skin on it. Both of My sons "grilled cheese" were not even cooked/grilled, it was basically a dry cold cheese sandwich! AND They forgot to give my husband his burger, period & drink. I've Dined at other locations in the past and everything was great but on this day the company's overall reputation dropped by the wayside! I took my mother there for lunch and they served her a raw burger. The cooked temp was maybe 135 degrees verses 145-155. (RAW). I promptly reported the occurrence to the rude condescending manager and then to corporate office twice because there was no follow up or call back! I am finished! I will not return! You can buy a better burger all over town and with better customer service! I suppose corporate doesn't give a damn about customers so why should a store level manager care either? read more

It's not often that I come across a human being who far exceeds the average expectations that are set for him. Also, it is not often to meet someone with such passion for their job; a passion that may be observed from across the building. What I'm about to write might not seem believable, but it is not a thing of legend. It is an experience of a lifetime. On December 18th, 2014 I walked into a life-altering experience at SmashBurger. As I was greeted by the man, named Chris, who operated the cash register; I felt a calming sensation. At that moment I realized this was going to be no average visit. This man knew exactly what I wanted. I don't know how, but every time he suggested an item, it would be the item I sincerely desired. Afterwards, he let me know that everything would be handled for me, to sit back, relax, and wait for my extremely delicious burger to be served. Later, as I'm devouring my burger, I couldn't help but to watch this man (Chris) work with such enthusiasm that it would inspire a blind man to see again. Let me tell you one thing my fellow reader, this man, Chris, he runs the place. He is the head honcho, the chief, el captain, overlord, ruler of great customer service and hospitality. I ordered a small burger combo and got a very thin, 2 1/2 inch x 3 inch patty- hardly worth $5.99 price i paid for it. If I could do zero stars, I would. My husband and I had burgers from there today and as I was chewing my burger, I noticed something hard, so I spit it out. IT WAS A STAPLE!!! The shift manager apologized and quickly gave us 3 $5 gift certificates (not a refund) and told us that it was strange to find a staple since they don't use that in the kitchen. I later reported the incident to the Brazoria County Health Department. I took my kids here today and was surprised that for a place that can pretty much customize anything on the menu, they couldn't substitute a milkshake for a drink. I offered to pay the difference, but was met with a firm 'No. You have to pay for everything.' We ended up paying for two kids' meals, two burgers and a shake. We also ended up wasting the two kids' drinks that we didn't get much of a choice to purchase. With so many shake-loving kids and customers in the area, you would think that Smashburger would be a little bit more flexible.
