In had high hopes for this place, as several of my friends rant and rave about their burgers... I'm not impressed. The ordering experience was fine, typical fast food style, I was happy that they had beer! But it was downhill from there. First off, they brought my food out and my wife and sons food didn't show up for about another ten minutes! I would have preferred for my food to sit under a heat lamp for a while so we could all eat together. The burgers are nothing special, very greasy, and plain Jane ingredients. I should have known from the the second we ordered the cashier could not get our order right. Then were missing food asked for the missing food was told it would be brought right out, still waited and had to go ask again then was told that should have already been brought out. Two unusual sides keep us returning. My husband loves the Smashburger. I adore Sweet Potatoe Fries and the Onion Rings. I was kind of blah about them until we asked they be made extra crispy. We had coupons, so we decided to try this place out. Took forever to order food, as the line was so long and wrapped around past the front door. Only one cashier. Five people in our family and we ordered one spinach goat cheese salad and the rest burgers and fries. The burgers were small and meh, fries were greasy. The salad was excellent and seem like it should be from a higher end restaurant. The bathroom was filthy like a truckstop restroom, the walls were filthy, the tables were filthy. Ordered 2 regular classic smash burgers to go at 1:41 pm on 12/22/16. Counted 9 tables not bussed. Watched cook screw up 5 orders while I waited and waited and waited. 26 minutes later my order was called. Too bad the burgers sat on the counter outside the heat lamp for 10 minutes. The burgers were ice cold by the time I got them. Wasted money on COLD burgers. While I stood around wasting time on cold burgers, I watched your employee buss one table with a nasty rag and did not wash her hands came back wiped her hand on her butt and continued to handle customers food. She picked up a dirty napkin off the floor tossed it in trash, wiped her hand on her butt and continued to handle customers food. Never washed hers hands just spread contamination on to customers food she pulled off the heat lamp area. I've been to this location on a couple of occasions and both times, everything was spot on. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. Even when I spilled an entire drink on the floor, I was told not to worry about it and to enjoy the rest of my day. When we went in today, on a Saturday, the place was packed. But even under those circumstances, our food came out quickly, our orders were correct, and the staff still had the smiles on their faces. Now that's great customer service. In addition, my daughter and I both agreed that the food was great. I ordered the All American Deluxe Combo and it was delicious. The veggies on the burger were super fresh and crisp and the meat was pretty tasty as well. Was it a bit greasy? A bit, but who wants a dry burger? I'm not a big fan of shoestring fries, but that's just a preference thing. They were at least cooked well and came out hot. I really have no complaints with this burger joint. We stopped in here last night for dinner. I've had tons of people recommend this place to me for a long time. I ordered the BBQ bacon cheddar burger and fries. The burger was alright but didn't have a lot of taste. Not sure if the BBQ sauce doesn't have much flavor or if they just didn't put enough on the burger but it definitely didn't taste like it had BBQ sauce on it. I saw they have some different flavor of milkshakes, which sounded pretty good, but we didn't try any. read more

First time at SmashBurger. It was great! I ordered the classic with house fries. The burger was cooked fresh. It was juicy and very flavorful. The fries were quite thin, like straws and lightly covered in olive oil and rosemary. Yum. Overall it was clean and friendly. The only mis-queue was the table. It was covered with salt. A quick wipe with a napkin and it was good to go. I will be back. SmashBurger is better than the average burger. 5 stars. read more

08/29/13 Had the Avocado Smashburger. No complaints here. Burger came out hot and juicy with lots of fresh avocado and flavorful bacon. Fries were thin and crispy and the order was generous. I thought prices were reasonable. This is a welcome and much needed addition to the choices available in the Queen Creek/San Tan Valley area. Friendly and attentive service too. The food was good, especially the sweet potato fries. The service was poor. The hostess got my cousins order completely wrong and then was annoyed when we asked for the food that she actually ordered. She fought with us about whether she ordered what she said she did..... I ordered a salad, which was OVERLY drenched in dressing and it made me gag, so I brought it to her and she refused to let me exchange it for something else, so I had to purchase a whole different meal. I ordered the "avocado black bean burger" and it said it came with habanero cheese, which was under "other VEGGIE options". When it arrived, it had BACON on it NO cheese whatsoever. How is it a veggie option if it had bacon? I had to pick it off and they wouldn't give me any cheese. Every encounter with the hostess was unpleasant, she was obviously unhappy about her job...or she just hated everyone. Clueless counter girl, but the burger and ties were good although pricey. I'm glad that they had vitamin water as a healthier choice. The shake is a classic shake and a better deal than Freddy's.
