They said they were able to deliver on a certain amount of orders. I saw here and was quick to response. I had a family dinner of 20 ppl and gave Co Hoang a try. We did everything through text. The day of which is Saturday, 12/20/25, I was to pick up the food at 5pm. You have to text the 15 minutes before meeting them up at a parking lot. Texted and met up with them, food was still piping hot. The whole process was very smooth. What I ordered: * Small Soúp Măng Cua/Bong Bóng Cá Asparagus Crab Meat soup - $120 * Small Gỏi Sứa Tôm Thịt Ngó Sen- $50 * Small Mì Xào / Chow Mein - $50 * Chả Giò / Egg Rolls- $1.50 each * Small Bò Mông Cổ / Mongolian Beef- $60 for 3 lbs of meat * Small Cơm Chiên Cá Măn / Salted Fish Fried Rice - $55 REVIEW FOOD- Overall the food was delicious and not overly salty, so it's great for the older people's taste. We had two tastings, one upon signing the contract and a final one closer to the date where we were able to bring along family and a close friend. They served us full plates of every dish so we even left with plenty of leftovers, which was such a fun bonus for us! Throughout the planning process, they were very easy to communicate with and were highly responsive via email. It was super convenient having them coordinate the table design at their warehouse, including the linens, plateware, and glassware. While the design meeting isn't a "boutique" curated experience, their warehouse has plenty of options to choose from if you already have a general color palette and vibe in mind. On the wedding day, the staff was extremely attentive and brought us hand rolls before cocktail hour even started to ensure we actually got to eat. The live hand roll station was a massive hit with our guests and absolutely delicious. I also appreciated how open they were to our custom cocktails; I provided my own recipe and li hing powder for a pineapple li hing margarita, which they executed perfectly. Cost-wise, this is not a budget vendor and is on the more expensive side. However, the full-service, high-touch planning and day-of experience, from the tastings to the seamless coordination of all design elements, completely justified the price. You truly get what you pay for, and we have no regrets. If food is a top priority for your wedding, we highly recommend Michi's. Their expertise made our day so special, and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out!

Went to their website to order catered buffet lunch for a board retreat happening the next day in Los Altos. As before site easy to navigate with a variety of options to tailor. The first clue that there might be issues was I wasn't able to see or select my ideal delivery time for later in the day. I thought they were already booked for the time. Then when I confirmed & paid for my order, the interface provided a message at bottom of my receipt that catering orders must be made 48 hours in advance. I did it the night before our retreat. (Made note to self to order 48 hours in advance in future) I was disappointed that the website did not clearly note must be made 48 hours in advance or message before I paid that I was ordering less than 48 hours. After making a decent size order for 9, I went in mode hoping to salvage this order. I sent email to restaurant and left a voicemail that night with intention to call in morning to ensure they can fulfill order or provide a refund if they cannot. I called in morning to leave another message in hopes they check messages before their Saturday opening time of 11am which would not allow enough time to cook & deliver. So while setting up for our retreat and searching for a plan B for lunch the hour before retreat starts at 9:30am, I discovered several missed calls. To my delight it was Lorena confirming that they can complete the order, to call back & that would need to pay $20 to deliverer (lunch delivery is complimentary during weekdays near to their restaurant). She left voicemail and text. When I called back, I thank her and Athena grill for coming through. Fast forward, food delivered in mobile hot boxes as expected on time by a couple, quietly arranged in the back of room, generous serving for 9, and very hot for traveling from Santa Clara to Los Altos. I confirmed with Lorena via text and expressed my gratitude who again was responsive. The food was enjoyed by all. We had salad (crisp w/dressing on side), grilled veggies (chunky cut that were firm not mushy), spanakopita (crisp phylo w/good size filling), vegetarian moussaka (would not miss the meat), rice (loose and more than enough for 9 of us), grilled skewered chicken (always moist), grilled salmon (first time and was good portion), and baklava (tasted home made). One of my colleagues asked if food was Halal, which I think they confirmed. Unsure if correct, so suggest contact restaurant directly. Brought leftovers for Hubby & Dad to enjoy. We couldn't stop salivating over the delicious mushroom ravioli after our tasting; and 2. We immediately felt comfortable with Carla - we loved her personality and story. I worked in food service for about a decade so the food and beverage service for our wedding was very important to me. We are SO glad that we went with Far Out. Carla and her team were absolutely amazing at every step of the process. I'll give a few examples: 1. Taste: So many of our guests told us that this was by far the BEST food they have ever had at a wedding. People were literally searching us out to tell us this because they were so impressed. There's always the fear that the food won't taste as good as it did at the tasting, but despite the fact that we were in a county park and there was no onsite kitchen, the food tasted just as we remembered it. 2. Service: The team was so on top of everything and just generally so sweet that it created a great ambiance for the wedding. We missed the appetizers due to taking photos and were a bit disappointed. Carla found out and the team quickly made us a personal platter of each of the appetizers. Carla was communicative, but not overbearing and made us feel that everything was in good hands. For example, during the wedding we made some slight changes in timing because people were loving the appetizers and cocktail hour, so we pushed back dinner about 30 minutes. Carla and her team worked it out seamlessly and no one knew that there was a change except for us. 3. Above and beyond: We bought all of our own alcohol and mixers and the team came by our house a couple of days before to pick everything up so that we didn't have to drop it off. Amidst all of the last minute to-dos, this was a huge help. Later that night, as Carla was looking through the items, she realized that I had forgotten to pick up lychee for our signature cocktail. She communicated with me and I said that I would work on quickly trying to find it the following day. What I didn't say is that I was nervous that I wouldn't find it due to the holiday--and not sure how we could pivot because they'd already finalized the printed menus. Before I even had time to look, Carla texted me early the following morning and said she had found the item and already picked it up, so I didn't need to worry about it. We definitely made the right decision going with Far Out. I honestly wish they had a restaurant so I could eat that ravioli again!

The veggies and chicken fajitas were flavorful and cooked just right, the rice and beans were spot on, and the bread/tortillas were perfect for tacos. Everything tasted fresh and came together beautifully. The chips and guacamole were a definite hit with everyone, and the salad was very fresh, providing a nice, lighter option alongside the mains. First off, there was a time limit for how long they served food (1 hour) which is a first when it comes to hiring a taquero for me. Secondly guests were limited to five tacos each and advise that they could not get more once they've had five... Given we had less guests than I had paid for, this shocked me as I assumed there would be more than plenty to go around. I'm not sure if he was just having a bad day, but my guests could feel the tension when interacting with Big Ruub even when sharing compliments of how good the food was.

They set out the table for the fixings and served people with the hot tortillas and fillings fresh from the stove. Everyone enjoyed the food and the crew was so nice. If you want to host an event and don't want to stress over the food, hire these guys. They will take care of you.
