They provided more movers for the hourly cost than the other two companies and were available. Darlene was kind and amazing, and thorough in asking questions about furniture, packing, pets, and exercise equipment. Things I didn't even consider! Day of the move (Saturday after Thanksgiving) Ryan, Santos, Mario and Amir showed up on time, carefully wrapped all of our furniture with either blankets or plastic wrap. The asked questions about where things should go, and questions about how to assemble or disassemble things. This is our third move, and we are not as young as we were with our last move. We had to make two trips, but it was still within budget. Next move, I'll call them again, and pay for packing (which we thought we could do on our own in our 50s!) Their reliability and ease of setting up the packing and move when I was not even able to be present and the timing was truly helpful. It was more expensive than I had ever paid for movers, even without the packing, and that's honestly why I could not give them full 5 stars. As a military member going through an honorable discharge to help my family in crisis while already injured myself, I had to empty out my own savings and my children's I had saved up over a 9-month deployment in the combat zone to move back to my family when they needed my help, not even sure if I could then provide for them. So while I really thank them for the job they did, I never financially recovered from that and I do ask Rock Movers to consider the vets or military members in San Diego and to complete a weight estimate for them to be reimbursed.

They showed up on the scheduled day about 8:30 am and we did a walk thru, showing them what was going and what was not. moving from a 4 bdrm to a 2 bdrm takes some downsizing. They started right in, wrapping, filling boxes and moving them out to the truck. Taking apart the furniture that needed it and moving it out to the truck. They are definitely good at their job. It took them till 10:30 at night to get it all packed and stowed in the truck. They were prompt on delivery day too. Showed up at 9 am . started unloading and putting together furniture and placing it where requested. Took till 4pm before they were finished with their part of unpacking . Great job! I highly recommend this company. They are prompt, polite and very good at their job.

The person who booked us was very responsive and answered all our questions. The movers they sent were friendly and handled our stuff with care. The team of five arrived promptly and took about six hours to pack everything inside and load it into their truck. My husband thought to put a tracker in one of his items and this is where the confusion and lack of communication began. We never got a straight answer on this given the singular phone call in two weeks, but from what we saw on the tracker our stuff made 5-10 stops across Los Angeles and San Francisco during the week that we had assumed they would be driving. Our best guess is that they were unloading and reloading everything into a bigger truck to accommodate more items (and more $$). They packed us on July 26th and I gave my first available delivery date as August 2nd. After the initial contact on the move out day, I didn't hear a single word from them until August 4th after trying desperately to get ahold of anyone at the company. Does anyone actually work here? I only ever received emails from "Jim," but he would stop responding as soon as I asked for a phone call. I feel you would have happier customers if you OVER communicated, given that you have most of their worldly possessions. On top of the complete lack of customer service, the team packed our household items terribly. Nothing is labeled, items from rooms in a bunch of different boxes, several items broken or lost or wrapped up in a shoddy fashion - which is making unpacking an absolute nightmare. The company also just hires random local people to unpack the truck (two men and one older woman- peculiar choice), so while they were helpful they had no idea what each item was. Since we were all totally clueless, it took double the time to unwrap/unbox every single thing. We were moved in on August 8th; the sixth day. I'm now realizing they do this on purpose with their "7 day guarantee," so take that into account if booking. I would urge you to look elsewhere, as Pure Movers was not worth the enormous $15k price tag for me.

Jeremiah's communication heading into the move was excellent and Mike and his team arrived right in the window they said they would. As soon as I gave them the rundown of the place, they wasted ZERO time and got straight to work - all the way until the last item was carried into the new place. Heading into this move, I was worried about taking apart our bed frames and putting them back together. Mission Movers took care of it at no extra cost. But the biggest thing for me is how friendly and HONEST the team was. One of my dining chairs was already cracked before the move and they approached me and apologized for thinking they did it. That small gesture went a long way for me and I know they were going to find a solution even if it was their fault. They also could've charged me for a full 4 hours but charged me to the exact minute they worked at 3.75 hours. Not to mention it was also a really hot day and they powered through it without a single complaint. My wife and I have said several times that we don't know how we would've done it without Mission Movers. I know exactly who I'm hiring for any of my future moves. 10/10 experience!
