Great experience! Went with my sister for the 30 minute session (we used a Groupon Voucher). It was nice that we got to share a room during the session - made it more fun, and made the time go by faster. In the end, both of our teeth were whiter by 4 shades. Very happy with that result! In addition, we are using the whitening pens to prolong our teeth whitening, and these are available for purchase at the check out counter. I suggest getting these! Since we enjoyed our time so much, we decided to buy another 30 minute session, in which we got another deal on!!! I plan on bringing my mom and a friend along to our next visit! First and foremost, if you are expecting to walk into a dentist office, this is certainly not that. And a few days after my appointment I'm not sure I'm as blown away compared to other reviewers. Right after my teeth did seem a lot whiter, but 4 days later I'm not so sure I'd spend another $100 and I'm happy I didn't buy the package they offered me on the spot. Also, I can't be the only one who was a little sketched out by the whole thing? I felt a little off by the process and the fact that the person handling everything wore ripped jeans and NO GLOVES. I understand you apply it yourself but I wasn't even offered to wash my hands beforehand and he did touch everything you used. Listening to his personal phone calls was not my favorite entertainment either. An hour is a long time to sit and drool on yourself (yes, not sugarcoating this, you drool a lot) and I'd think twice before going back. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. HE WAS AN ASS. It was that most unprofessional, shady business I have been to. I was given no instruction on what to do, wear or expect from these treatments. He tried to tell me he was giving me an extra upgrade that cost $600 for my groupon of $79. That was total BS. He did that for the other girl who was there and if he really ran his business offering "$600" services for $79 he would be broke, so it was all lies. Then I had to do my own applications of the cheap gel stuff you can buy at a tanning salon to whiten your teeth with ultraviolet bulbs you can buy for $10. He asked me what I was having it done for and I said I was in a wedding the next day. After the session he tells me I can basically only drink clear water for 24-72 hrs or it won't work. Well thanks a lot! I already told you I had a wedding in less than 24 hrs, what do you think people drink there. He was late getting there. He was the only one, so he was taking care of me and another customer at the same time and my appt. was going late. I had to end the session early so I didn't get a ticket on my meter. I told him I was upset and instead of trying to make the situation better he told me I was ungrateful for the upgrade he gave me. Such an awful experience!!! read more

Excellent place. This was my first time trying whitening. I wanted to see if I could improve my rather yellow teeth a bit before my wedding. My fiancee came with and our experience was great. David was very nice to us, even when we arrived 15 minutes late due to the German Fest parade and the traffic rerouting. He clearly explained the procedure and what to expect. The 30 minutes sitting in the chair were hard for me, mostly because I have trouble sitting still and not doing anything. :) I always thought my fiancee had great, pearly whites, but I was amazed right away with how much whiter her teeth were. I also noticed instantly that my teeth had gotten several shades lighter. David gave us great advice regarding what foods to avoid for a day or two and we decided to pre-purchase two more sessions that don't ever expire. Maybe a touch-up after the wedding and honeymoon? I have never had my teeth whitened before and did not know what to expect. I was, however, expecting to have the procedure explained to me and a chance to ask questions. The man just took me in a back room, gave me ointment to rub on my gums, and put to plastic things in my mouth and took off. He checked in three minutes later and then never checked in again until the end. The color change was not significant. In the end, the man brushed off my concerns about the whiteness in my gums and splotches on my teeth and then sent me on my way. During at least 20 minutes of my appointment, it sounded like he was on the phone with an angry customer or vendor. I thought this was an inappropriate conversation to have in front of all of your customers. read more

well my first review and i just had to write because my experience at smiling bright and with Dave was amazing. I had read all the reviews before deciding to come here and Dave did not disappoint nor did the whole procedure. I chose the pro flash due to my teeth being grey from not only wine but tetracycline . The results were amazing : 5 shades lighter and I feel so much more confident in myself. The procedure is really easy with Dave explaining how to do the application of gel and then he was very attentive checking on me to make sure I was OK throughout the pain free treatment. I recently purchased a Groupon for Smiling Bright for a 30 min session. I read all the great reviews ahead of time and they were spot on. Upon my arrival, David upgraded me to Pro-Flash and helped me understand the benefits of the upgrade. The 30 mins were pain free and went by quickly. Although you apply the gel to your own teeth, David was there to check in on you and provide guidance. I was very pleased with the quick result. My teeth weren't in bad shape, but I could definitely tell an immediate difference. It was money well spent and I look forward to coming back! read more

Where to start!?! I bought this as a YouSwoop. I liked that you can make your appointment on their website. I found that to be very convenient. The guy at the front desk was very outgoing in a salesmen type way. I assume that he is the owner. The process: I was told which room to walk into. The man walked in and gave me a q-tip with Vitamin E on it with the instructions to put it all over my gums. It was explained that this was going to help protect my gums during the whitening process. He said that there was a chance that my gums could turn white during the whitening but to fear not, if this were to happen my gums would be back to normal by the time I left the shop. He then handed me a paper bib with a sticky strip on it. He told me to place that on my shirt because I was going to drool, a lot. Everything at this point in the process is manual. He returned to put an apparatus in my mouth along with a mouth piece to bite down on. The instruction was to push it back at least every five minutes to make sure that it is in place. I was told that it is imperative to make sure that the mouth piece is in place. As soon as he started the UV light, I started the stopwatch on my iPhone to make sure that I gave it a good push every five minutes to make sure that it was snug in place. He was right, there was a lot of drool. There is a box of issues next to the chair that can be used to wipe it away. A few minutes into the process my gums started to sting. The man declared that this was natural. I could not wait for my 30 minutes to be up. After the time was up, the man and I reviewed my results. My gums were poofy and white. He gave me a vitamin E q tip that I rubbed on my gums for 3-4 minutes. He gave me two more Vitamin E q tips to take home to use later. As I was about to leave he asked me if I wanted to buy another session. My gums are sore. My teeth were the same color as before the "treatment." No way will I go back. A few hours after the treatment, my gums turned from white to bloody and swollen. My teeth were sensitive, which is something that I anticipated going into the treatment. This persisted for three days. Today is day four. My gums are no longer swollen. Most of the blood splotches in my gums have gone away, a few still remain. I did not see any difference in the color of my teeth. I found this to be a waste of time, money and was extremely painful. To top it off, I did not see any results. The rooms are not fully closed off, so you can hear everything that is going on in that office. My observations while in the office: -I overheard the girl in the room next to mine also complain about her gums stinging. I am extremely curious as to whether or not her gums ended up bleeding and swollen. - The man at the counter gave the instruction to a customer not drink any juice, wine or beer for at least 24 hours. After 24 hours, these beverages can be consumed via a straw the next day. Avoid hot and cold temperature food and water. There are many options for teeth whitening: Crest strips, Zoom, dental teeth whitening trays, etc. I would highly recommend looking into other teeth whitening options. read more

I went to Smiling Bright on a whim yesterday after thinking for months that I'd like to do whitening. The last time I did Zoom was about 9 years ago for my wedding and I remember a lot of discomfort and sensitivity to hot and cold afterwards. Plus, it's super expensive. I found Smiling Bright on Groupon and bought the one hour deal. When I arrived, David, the owner of this and 4 other locations, greeted me and gave me a complimentary upgrade. He works only at the the Lakeview location and founded the company after his own dissatisfaction with the expense and minimal results of his own Zoom experience. He worked with dentists around the country to develop a proprietary whitening formula that provides better results and less discomfort. The place this only does whitening and has comfortable reclined chairs and lots of magazines, though it is a challenge to read during the procedure since you wear red goggles and the light is in front of your face. I recommend bringing headphones and something good to listen to. There is no music or TV or anything so it's also a good time to close your eyes and rest. Overall I was very pleased with the results and had a little discomfort/tooth pain a few hours later, but I took Advil and that helped. Highly recommend. read more

My only issue was the set-up of the place; apparently there's no lounge room for the staff because I could hear everything going on while I was getting my teeth whitened. The lady who was running the operation was yelling at her kids who appeared half-way through the first round of my whitening. I wish they would've given me something to do in that hour-- like play music or have a TV, but I sat there. My teeth look whiter, though! I just recommend bringing headphones. read more

Went here for the first time yesterday.This worked more effectively than other treatments I have used. I have had zoom done and use teeth whitening gel with trays. It was quick and easy. It was not painful (which Zoom can be). The owner was really nice, friendly, and made me feel comfortable. You put the gel on your own teeth, which made me nervous. So i had a groupon and decided to do my first ever in office whitening treatment. He offered to upgrade me to the pro flash treatment and said its the best, that he uses it on himself.and i could tell his teeth are as white as a celebrity! Im a smoker/coffee drinker. David explained the process to me thoroughly and sounds like hes really knowledgeable about his product. the place is nice and had comfy chairs to sit, large variety of magazines to read. you put the whitening gel on yourself, and there's a plastic thingy that stretches your mouth open really wide. that was the only uncomfortable part, maybe my mouth is just smaller than others i don't know.anyway, half way through when i rinsed and brushed my teeth to do the second part of whitening i got a little scared because there was a white spot on one of my teeth. but he explained to me its a calcium deposit that everyone gets when they are young. and he said it would fade away and blend and he was right. i can barely tell anymore. so an hour of buckets of drooling on myself later (lol) and bam! whiter teeth!! i understand that it will take me a few more sessions to get it as white as i want because the nicotine and coffee stains are hard to lift, but I'm happy with the results. and ill be back again when i have more money in the bank, probably after my vacation coming up. Also i walked away with some freebies to help make my teeth even whiter! i recommend this service to anyone and its better than any drugstore whitening and my teeth regularly get sensitive, but with this not at all!
