STAY AWAY!!! Incompetent employees and store management that doesn't believe the customer is right. My husband and I ordered 2 subs and they were made incorrectly. We kept the plates at our table because we were starving so we could eat the chips and pickle on the plate. They offered to remake them correctly. I told them again what I wanted on my sub. The subs were remade wrong again. After approaching the teenager that called herself the manager, it was clear that I was the one who was wrong. Her solution was to give me the items missing on our subs so we could put them on ourself. I then asked for my money back and was told that she would not give me my money back because they had given us 4 subs. They argued with me about how my subs were correct. Then after messaging their Facebook page the same teenager manager proceeded to argue with me. Then the owner calls me, not with a solution, but to tell me to never come to her shop again. Well, she will get her wish. I will never support this business again. read more

Really good sandwiches and ices cream. Just be prepared to wait if there is more then one person in line. Basically a bunch of young adult who deliver but run around walking into each allot causing more delays then there should be. Went there about 20 times during our time in Smithfield. Would absolutely recommend but have the time to wait. read more

Happened across this place as I was driving around. Stopped down the road and walked back admiring the historic neighborhood. Came in and was a fairly packed place but the service was fast even though there was a line. Lot of tourists but it was fathers day soooooo. Will I go back? This place is so amazing the subs and ice cream are to die for!!!!!! And they have so many choices of ice cream and sandwiches. The people are really nice to you and they aren't rude. Outside of the shop is a butload of streets with a lot shops to visit and check out . We come here every time we go to the post office and shop around. We went to visit my recently deceased fathers grave site, and then tried to cheer up with a delicious ice cream. We got to the Parlor and I noticed I didn't have my face mask with me, I kindly asked if they had one I could use. They did not! A kind lady behind me offered for me to use one of her masks. The mask was next to some of her other used masks so I was hesitant to use it, but my 7 year older was promised ice cream. So, I did my best to not think about the germs and pulled the mask over my mouth. As I went to order the lady behind the counter kept telling me to pull the mask up over my nose, I really wanted to comply but I was afraid of the germs the mask may have. I didn't want to say this out loud and offend the nice person who offered it to me. Anyway, I was forced to pull it up all the way over my nose and ordered my sons ice cream. They scooped it and put it on top of the glass counter where it was exposed to many peoples germs. I noticed the ice cream was the wrong flavor. I kindly told the worker what we actually asked for, then this is the moment I watched in horror! The worker took the wrong ice cream that was exposed and put it back in the big tub of ice cream to serve at a later date. I asked the worker how that could be sanitary when it was exposed. I told him that this was a contradiction to making me wear a mask if they aren't following restaurant codes for proper food handling. I told him how gross this was! Well, the worker then told me how I was grossing him out. The worker was called in the back and I left furious and with tears in my eyes. Never will I ever go back. No one deserves to be treated this way, and I don't trust the cleanliness of the ice cream shop. read more

I have been in the Smithfield Ice Cream Parlor a few times now and it is pretty good. They don't have too many flavors, just the basics. I small cone is a pretty large amount of ice cream but they will ONLY let you put one type on there... That is one of the major downsides. Sometime all someone wants is a little ice cream but more than one flavor... I don't see what the problem is there but OH WELL! If you are strolling through Downtown Smithfield, weaving in and out of the shops, and have a craving for ice cream... Stop. I would NOT however recommend driving to Smithfield JUST for ice cream from this place. read more

Just like the rest of main street, this Ice Cream Parlor is quaint and all around awesome. It really gives you that old-timey feel plus the ice cream is delicious. The staff here are very nice and will even let you sample the different flavors. I highly suggest checking this place out any time of the year but especially if you're shopping around the area in the middle of the summer - nothing hits the spot like an ice cream parlor! read more

If they had just waited till the next day, all those charges would have been gone. Nice shoppe! Friendly employees and owner. Looks small but plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Clean bathrooms and excellent sandwiches. The meatball subs could easily feed two people. I had the Roast Beef wrap my husband the Pork Tacos. Both were delicious. It was 21.27 for this and 2 sweet teas. I wish they had a choice of a side instead of just potato chips. The tacos came with chips and salsa. I would have rather of had those! read more

The food was decent here, especially since they advertise themselves as an ice cream place. As an experienced traveler, I have to say NO to a mediocre sandwich in the middle of no where. It was nice for a lunch before work, but nothing more. I've just had better for less. I hate to compare different areas and tastes as far as where I've been, but that is kinda what this site is about. I would totally expect a place like this to have a little bit better of food and service. I really expected better service from a small town place. But, I completely felt like an outsider. Every time I go to Smithfield I have to stop in this little gem of a store. I love old school ice cream parlors and this is exactly that.

Delicious ice cream! So far I have tried the blueberry cheesecake ice cream, dark chocolate raspberry ice cream, espresso chocolate ice cream, and the sugar-free butter pecan ice cream. The ice cream is a little pricey, but it's worth it for the location. I think one scoop of ice cream was $2.59. Main Street has a nice view and it's close to Windsor Castle Park. read more

I absolutely love coming here with my whole family and also a solo quick visit. The ice cream is amazing, portion sizes perfect and love that I can sample a flavor first. Their cones are crisp and fresh tasting and the ice cream smooth, full of flavor and never unbalanced. The service has always been quick, friendly and helpful. I've ordered the BLT twice now and have really enjoyed it. I brought my friend from Chicago, and she ordered the club and was equally pleased and said her ice cream was also incredible.
