Suck, suck, suck. Do not come here. When checking my car, they knew that the car computer has not reset yet but they checked it any way just to get my money. And when the car failed, they charged the full price and tossed the paper fail paper in my face. Do not come here. Do not make the stupid mistake I had made. The tech has a very stupid look and super rude. Do not bring your car here. read more

The smog check done within 20 minutes I was in and out of there. He was very friendly handed me the remote control of his tv and asked me if I wanted to drink some water. Very nice most places dont even bother to ask. I did print out the coupon which made the price down to 40.00. =) I defiantly know where I will be returning when the time comes. I strongly recommend this Smog Center. . Get the coupon at http://www.smogtips.com/business_detail.cfm?VendorID=13199 read more

I brought my Audi there to get smogged...wait time wasn't bad considering there were 3 cars ahead of me...I waited about 15 mins. He brought my car in and I could hear him getting in and out of the car cursing and shaking his head....each time he got in the car he revved it louder and louder. After 10 mins of him cursing and snot-shotting all over the garage, and revving the sh*t out of my car he says...."I don't want to do it...I tried 10 times already, your gas pedal is too sensitive".....oooooohhhhh kaaayyyyyy??!!! This guy has done my car before but for some reason he couldn't do it. I didn't appreciate his cursing since my 3 year old son was with me...I also didn't appreciate the revving to redline of my car, and the attitude I was given as if it was my fault that he didn't know what he was doing. I ended up taking my car to TNT Smog Test on 914 Commercial St (2mins away)...they charged the same amount, the place was cleaner, friendlier, faster service....they tested my car right away without any issues....never heard my car rev'd to the point that I thought my engine was gonna explode. Considering that the price is more or less the same and it is very close to Discount Smog....TNT Smog will get my business from now on based on customer service, cleanliness, speed and Technician know how. Also if you have a lowered vehicle......you will NOT have fun getting in/out of Discount Smog Center. read more

Great service. For one, the smog check took only 15 mins. I expected it to be more expensive but it was only $50. Also, they adjusted my audio wire because it was hitting my transmission and causing issue. Normally people would try to make money of females cause they don't know wth to do hahaha but this place is definitely legit. Would recommend to others. 5 stars read more

It was that biennial time of the year for my smog check. Booo to you DMV during these hard times! I called around several places for quotes, which ranged from $60-$50. I decided on this place since it was the closest to my house. When I arrived there were a couple cars in front of me: one the technician was working on and another waiting to be worked on. You can understand my skepticism when he said he would be with me in 10 minutes or so. I was surprised when he was done with both cars in about 15 minutes! My car was done in about 10. He charged me $45, but when I mentioned the coupon by other Yelpers on smogtips, he was kind enough to knock off $5 even though I didn't print out the coupon. So if you want that guaranted $10 off, print it out! This was a virtual pain free experience and I would recommend this to everyone! read more

The guy who worked on my car was friendly and go the job done quick. My trip here was about 10 minutes. Someone did mention on a previous post that an employee stole his AC knob lever, but from my experience, an employee found a dollar that I left in my car and returned it back to me. Overall, great service! read more

RUDE! and I have no idea why.. I have many cars. ( 6 ) of them and until they got this new employee, the owner or manager ran the shop and was quite nice.. I had done 5 or 6 smogs with him as I like to keep it all in one place.. Then I brought my MR2 and yeah its an older car and its been sitting for years so I wasnt too hopeful it would pass. 1st time it didnt and that was a waste of 110 dollars! Charged me 50 for the next time and it didnt pass at that time either.. then I did a lot of work to it and figured out what the problem was.. well I went back and they wanted to charge me another 35 dollars and Im like, damn it better pass this time.. The employee just started to mouth off to me about how its not their fault ( never said it was dude.. I think you need an enema or something ) and I was looking at him as he continued to go off on me... my guess they dont want to do older cars. Shame really because I have 6 cars and now they will never EVER get another one of them.. Bunch of idiots.. plenty of other smog shops around like SMOG HUT which passed it, no problem. Pretty stupid business decision guys.. Im sure you couldnt care less which is exactly my point.. CYA LOSERS read more

Headed early at 8:30 when the station still closed but it was worth my wait. Mr Tri was friendly and got my car done in just 10 minutes. Highly recommended! read more

All the other reviews seem to be 5 stars. I don't give 5 star reviews of anything unless they are really amazing -- there would have to be something pretty special to get 5 stars for a smog check. I got a quick smog check with no wait. The guy working there (only employee?) was nice. I brought a coupon for $10 off from smogtips.com as someone else mentioned. If you bring a coupon, be sure to present it at the beginning and not after the smog check is done. He was actually going to give me $5 off even though I didn't ask for it and hadn't shown him the coupon yet. The main reason I went here (besides the coupon, which made it like $4 cheaper than the other place I called) is that they were open until 6pm and said they would let me come in as late as 5:45. It's nice that the price they advertise includes all the DMV related fees. Some places are not as honest about that. read more

I made a call this afternoon and Rober received it. He was really nice and helpful. He told me to come and no need to schedule an appointment, and he offered a great price for the smog check. I arrived shortly to the shop and he helped me finish the smog check in 10 mins. Very happy with the service. read more

Cheap, quick, and easy. Drivers of rice rockets and low-riders be aware: your car WILL scrap when you pull in.

Got the coupon from smogtips.com for $10 off the smog check + certificate ($40 total with the coupon). There was only 1 person working when I was there and there were 2 people ahead of me, so all together i had to wait about 45 min (30 min wait + 15 min for the smog check). My car passed the smog so I am happy! read more

Fast and good price for a smog test..Rob was very informative and good advice. Ill would recomend my friends and family...

Reasonable price and very, very quick. Phong is only guy there and the waiting room is very spartan, but you're in and out and on with your day very quickly. My only gripe is that I got there on a Friday morning at 9:05am (Yelps says "Mon-Fri 9 am - 5:30 pm") and had to wait almost 30 minutes before he finally arrived to open up shop. Good news is that no one was in line in front of me and I was pretty much done is 10 minutes. $40 out the door after the $10 coupon from smogitps. Accepts Visa/MC read more

To me, a smog check is a smog check, and I'd rather pay less than more. I don't need a fancy waiting room with leather chairs, People magazine or a vending machine. Just a smog check, done quickly and professionally. So 5 stars to Discount Smog Center for offering a $40 smog check (using the coupon) in about 20 minutes on a Saturday afternoon, even with two customers ahead of me. The waiting room is small, no frills, but has chairs and a TV. You can see your car at all times. The guy working there is friendly. I'll go there again next time. read more

I have been taking my car and my moms car here for the last few years. They have a $10 coupon online that you can use to save money. The price has gone up a few bucks so it is $50 with coupon now. The guy is honest / quick / and very polite. I never make an appointment and the longest i have ever waited is 15 minutes until he got to my car. read more

Fast & painless service. Robert the onsite technician was courteous, professional and efficient. My car was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The price was among the lowest in the area. Highly recommend!! read more

I have been sending car to this station for smog test for 10 years. My mom took her car for a smog test. It is a regular smoke test, NOT a Star one. She was charged $78 even after the $10 coupon for her small compact car. The invoice shows Smog Inspection $60, Smog Certificate $8 and OIS $20. But in the past, the electronic certificated is included in the price. I also saw a yelp review in mid May 2018 that the price was $40. Are you charging senior ladies more? read more

Absolutely wonderful service, came in, two cars ahead of me, still in no time at all it was my turn and I was out within 15minutes!!! Have never had such a painless smog before :) I also saved anywhere from $15.00-40.00 ...happy customer!!!! read more

Stay away from this guy if you did any work on changing the O2 sensors. Mine failed because i didnt have a O2 that was connectorized. Smog passed, everything passed except this. He has a simple mind, Told to go get the connectorized O2 sensor. What? all i did was move the splice to where you cannot see it and i passed. But all he could say was go get the write O2 sensor. Duh. no check engine, passed the sniff test, why would I spend over $100 to get another sensor when it works. Also he can't do the math. Accepts the $10 discount, but it would have cost me $40 (usually $45). Like i said, simple minded. Will never go back to him again. read more

This is a good guy Did not make an appointment He finished the car before me in 10 minutes Then did mine in 15 minutes This was the smoothest smog test I have ever had ever read more

Just got my car smogged here. They do good work and perform every test possible and checked every thing that they could possibly check. The only draw back is that they do not owner their own coupon. They advertise a ten dollar off but they wanted to give me 5 dollar of. They finally gave it to me after some yelling and getting the owner involved. But needless to say, they do accurate work. read more

This viet cat is an ass! I waited 30 minutes just for him to see my engine light was on. He pretty much kicked me out.. "no no I no fix, you go mechanic wont pass bye!" I go to another place and adivse dude the light was on, since the car was a 95 he could still smog it. The law is 96 and up you cant smog with the light on.. A$$hole lost my business... Besides whats up with all those boxes with computer stuff on the loft above the shop floor..?? What kind of operation is this fool running? Some stolen sh^t on the side? 1 star ba$tard, next time ask question before running me out! read more

Great quick service, great price! Tony has state of the art equipment. You ca'nt go wrong here.

In and out in about 15 minutes. Smog check for $40 with coupon. The car passed. What more could you want, I mean it's a smog check.

Rob is very friendly and knowledgeable about all cars. He even offered to help me find a place that do more detailing on my car. Its a good place to go. Kudos for good customer service! read more

Courteous, friendly, fast, convenient, and more! The photographed pricing from 2013 is still in effect - I paid $70 for a STAR smog test with a $10 evaporative test fee (required for my older model vehicle). The place is indeed nothing pretty to look at on the outside, but in an industrial area that doesn't concern me - the worker I spoke with was courteous, friendly, and very dedicated to the task. I'll be back in 2 years for sure. read more

This guy is great. I read the reviews and brought my coupon with me today. There were two people ahead of me, I was out of there in about 15 minutes or so. I can see this place getting packed, the waiting room is no frills for sure but there are chairs, water and the tv to keep you company. I brought cash because I wasn't sure if he takes credit but he does he has a big sign in his garage so that is good to know. I hate getting anything done to my car ever. So I left happy today. This smog check was painless!!! I would recommend him! read more

All the reviews are true. Print the coupon and call ahead to find out how busy they are. I have already recommended this place to several of my friends who will have mandatory smog checks this year. Another find from Yelp. read more

He is great! fast, efficient and HONEST...Thanks good price and FAST....5 STARS for GREAT OVERALL SERVICE

Awesome. Fast, cheap, and gets the job done. It really takes around fifteen minutes for the whole process. I thought this was going to be an autoshop-looking place, but it's almost just a large garage. It doesn't matter. This was the best car-related work I've ever had done. So easy! read more

Very nice guy. Courteous and professional. The $50 cost is a good deal anywhere around. Definitely coming back here for my next smog check.

Great experience. Was able to get in and out in about 30 minutes. Technician was a nice guy to work with. No issues at all. Thanks again!

Awesome !!! Not only was it the best price, it was the BEST SERVICE too! Robert was polite on the phone when I called for the quote, unlike most places that I called. I let him know that because of work that I would be arriving shortly before their closing time. He said for me to call him if I was running late. I did because I hit traffic. Robert STAYED OPEN LATE to do my Smog ! That is great customer service !!! I was in and out of there in no time! Every year, I check to see who has the best price, & I end up going back to Discount Smog Center. They are the BEST ! Most places act like they are doing me a favor. Robert treated me like he appreciated me as a customer. I would bring my vehicles here even there was another place that was cheaper. I would give 6 stars if I could. Thanks again Robert. read more

So I was looking for a new place to smog test our cars (2 come up at the same time) and one needed to have a Star test. A friend recommended here so gave it a try yesterday. First, it's a hole in the wall as far as its location. I almost missed the opening in the fence that leads to it, but luckily the gps (and having seen the photo on Yelp) allowed me to turn in at the proper location. I was barely out of my car when the tech came over and took my paperwork, coupon, and keys while directing me to the small waiting area. I bumped into the owner there and was talking about a variety of things (he details cars too!) and in just a few minutes the tech came by and said it was done. I don't think I've ever experienced someone so quick from start to finish. I enjoyed the experience and the cost was standard for this type of testing. I'll be heading back next week with the second car. This is my new go-to place for smog checks (and I'll have to see about his detailing the "nice" car). read more

They were fast and gave very competitive prices compared to other places in the area I would have spent $10-$30 dollars more.

Service was fast, the actual test took probably 10 minutes. The prices is the most expensive at almost $90. I would shop around and find some other places for $40. read more

I called around to a few smog centers and I got the best deal. This was about a year ago, but he was doing it for $35 back then with the certificate. Service was very friendly and prompt. read more

If not for Yelp, I believe the known existence of these little businesses would be minimal. I called up Discount Smog Center to say that I couldn't print the coupon for some reason and he said to just remind him so I can still get the $40 rate. He also didn't add on to the $40 when I told him I had a '95 Ford Aerostar. Anything "95 or older usually cost more because they are a little harder to do. They are quick, friendly, honest and inexpensive. What more can you ask for? read more

Super fast, no wait and took only 10 minutes. The $40 price is totally not true, which I thought it was going to be due to recent reviews. Mine cost $88.50 like everyone else. $60 smog check, $8 fee, $20 fee since they use a new machine on the newer model cars (anything after 1990 I think they said). I think it's too pricey but the fast service made up for it. read more
