If I could give this place no stars I would. I called to ask what time they closed and was told 5:30. I asked what time I had to be there in order to get a smog change and he repeated that they closed at 5:30. I clarified by saying, so if I arrive at 5:15 can you do it? He said, "anytime before 5:30 we can do it" and abruptly hung up. I arrived a few minutes before 5:30 and called and HE WOULDN'T DO IT SAYING HAT HE WAS CLOSED! Really?! Really?! I recommend though, that you print out the coupon, since I did call hoping they would grant me the $10 off over the phone, but Tony asked me to bring in the coupon. Fast, straight forward and nice guys. Asked for a quote, got a reply within 10 mins. Brought my car in and owner remembered I had just messaged him and greeted me. Technician got straight to work and I was done in less than 30 mins. As for pricing, I was given a quote and that was the price I paid. Nothing shady. Awesome. I called, got a price quote of $40, and headed over. They got me in and out in a jiffy. The one hitch was that when he hooked the machine up to my car, it started to malfunction. Absolutely awesome. I got a $10 coupon from smogtips, which made it $40 including everything. This made him cheaper than ANYWHERE else would do my car (even before the coupon). One note is that you should bring a hard copy of the coupon, not a mobile copy. He was funny, too. And friendly. And fast. I mean, not only was he cheaper than anywhere else, he was really nice, and faster than anywhere else, too (if my last smog experience is anything to go by). As for the waiting room, I don't know what the poster who said it was dirty was talking about. I came at the end of the business day, and it was simple, but clean, spacious, & very cool despite the heat outside. I don't know why you'd want a bunch of extra amenities when you're only waiting about 15 minutes, anyway. Absolutely, if you need a test-only smog, go here. I will be sending all future business to him. P.S. To the guy who said he stole your AC lever knob: who steals one of those? Is there a run on them I don't know about. I drove my car to this shop around the opening hour and saw the technician there already warming up the testing machines ready to go. I didn't have to wait at all so that was nice. In and out around 15-20 minutes with no issue. The owner was also there and saw that my tires were somewhat soft so he voluntarily added airs to them without me asking. That was a pleasant surprise! I came here for many years (Phong was the tech) but the new ownership seems quite nice. I will continue to give them my business if they keep up with this level of service. read more

I just bought a car from an out of state dealership. Went to get it smogged and it didn't pass the OBD test. The ECU had been reset. Turns out that someone left the interior light on at the dealership and the battery ran and out it sat for a week like that. He said to come back after a few days and at least a hundred miles. Went back and got retested for free. Passed this time with no problems. Quick service at a great price. read more

Don't be scared by the looks of this place...I was. It may look like it's in shambles, but he's so friendly and quick. This is the fastest and most efficient smog place I've ever been to and his pricing is ridiculously cheap....under $50. Outrageous! I don't think I've ever paid less than $100. If you forget your DMV slip at home, don't worry, he uses your license plate to electronically send the information. I've been to other places where they refuse to transmit it without the DMV form. I called late on a Saturday and asked the owner if I would be able to have my van inspected if I came by in 10 minutes. He said yes. When I drove in, he met me, drove my van into the garage and conducted a prompt inspection. Unfortunately, the van failed, but he showed me the problem and explained what I needed to do to rectify the situation. I first went to another smog center on a coupon special. After they applied exceptions and extra costs onto that coupon the final price was almost double. I left that company mad and found this establishment. My final cost without any discounts or coupons was less than the others initial coupon price! As for service that day it was a one man show. Yet the technician juggled several cars at once and finished my car at about the 30 minute level. Despite working alone he kept up couteous service and kept me informed. By the time I left there were 5 cars waiting in line. That is the only difficulty as there is very little parking available. Worth the wait, great service and great attitude. I have found that Robert the Head Smog Tech really is savvy with his one on one customer service. I appreciate his quick and up to date Knowledge of all current smog techniques having to do with the devices used nowadays. Cheap and really quick with no BS. I personally could care less about the waiting room and at least he has a water cooler.
