Excellent service. I was running late due to traffic. But the staff waited for me even off hours already!

My car is officially old and I needed to do my very first smog check. Came here with a $10 coupon and got it done for $40. I waited less than 5 mins before I got my car serviced. I spent 10 mins in all and was out and on my way! The guy was friendly, professional and quick, with no scams! read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. I called to ask what time they closed and was told 5:30. I asked what time I had to be there in order to get a smog change and he repeated that they closed at 5:30. I clarified by saying, so if I arrive at 5:15 can you do it? He said, "anytime before 5:30 we can do it" and abruptly hung up. I arrived a few minutes before 5:30 and called and HE WOULDN'T DO IT SAYING HAT HE WAS CLOSED! Really?! Really?! You couldn't have just said that after 5:20 that you couldn't take me?! And on top of that he was rude both times. read more

Super nice worker and quick service! I really recommend this place for your smog check needs!

Robert was super professional, knowledgeable and very helpful. My car didn't pass the emission test the first time (I wasn't really expecting it to) but after running the tests and get it checked .Robert quickly figured out that the car just need to get warmed up , so he asked me to drive it for about 20mn and came back and test it again. I went and drove my car as recommended came back to the station and then the car passed all the tests without any issue. I've gone to several different places and I would like to give this 5 Stars. if all you need is a smog. If you're looking for professionals that are kind, passionate, patient and informative star Discount Smog Center 1003 Berryessa Rd is the place to go. Thanks again Robert! read more

Called in to see if I get could a smog check done ASAP. Robert was very helpful over the phone and said to come in and he would have me out in ten minutes. It didn't even take that long. I was out in five minutes with my smog certification in hand. I will definitely be recommending my friends, and will be back the next time one of my cars needs to be smogged. read more

i write this review cause my experience wasn't bad at all to help these guys out. needed a smog check for renewal so i went here b/c the last few were closer to $60~70 with everything and they had a 29.75 deal online coupon. i almost missed the turn and there was a car coming out and a car behind me which kinda made a mess for a bit but that was sorted (note there's only gate space for a single car in and out and it's a fast turn in on a busy street). there was a bunch of cars and they quened my car into their line and it took a while but it got the job done, i did mention the coupon (i took a picture of it) and i got the discount, btw it would've been closer to 70 without just a small warning, they accepted this no complaint. smog checked fine in like 50 mins and paid and max tipped (unsure if this type of business tips but i got no problem since i saved a lot already and they did a fine job). i think i spent $45 with price they advertised + certificate charge of 8 something + 7 something tip. things to note that i seen, the turn in is fast and on a busy street and there may be a car coming out. it's a 2 man operation and they cycle through fast but they also maneuver the multiple cars around the limited space as needed to get their customers in and out. it will take some time as they advertise pretty decently so they got a lot of customer flow. unsure if there is customer restrooms (might be or just for them?). mention the offer unless ur ok with paying full price too i searched online and it says it should cost average $30~ or your overpaying the price i saw on their invoicing system was -$40 so u'll be paying a lot if u don't mention it (at the time i write this there is a 29.75 coupon btw for newer cars). off topic but related - might want to change your engine air intake filter (do this yourself, search for a video), change your oil, fill up on better gas and or change ur transmission oil (prob just skip this) to help pass a smog test if ur cars iffy on passing this. read more

No appointment needed, fast, courtesy, friendly. Find a coupon online before the service.

Thanks to Lisa who posted the coupon link below, the cost to my smog check + certificate only cost me $40. If any of you know of a place that charges less than that, kindly let me know ! I recommend though, that you print out the coupon, since I did call hoping they would grant me the $10 off over the phone, but Tony asked me to bring in the coupon. But above all else, Tony was a nice guy. Service was good and quick. Oh and, the driveway to place is small and easy to miss when trying to find it..so slow down when you start to see some car shops along the side of the road. just giving a heads up. read more

Great Service. Used the $10 coupon found online and had no problems. Will definitely come back again when smog is up again. read more

Fast and friendly, no waiting. Go to his web site and get the discount coupon first.

Fast, straight forward and nice guys. Asked for a quote, got a reply within 10 mins. Brought my car in and owner remembered I had just messaged him and greeted me. Technician got straight to work and I was done in less than 30 mins. As for pricing, I was given a quote and that was the price I paid. Nothing shady. I'm not sure if it's the cheapest I could have gotten but this place is very close to my house and I don't mind paying a bit more for convenience. Overall good experience and I'll be back in 2 yrs for my next smog. read more

In and out, no drama, great service, great price ($40 w/ coupon)!

I was in & out in 30 minutes and he helped me troubleshoot my high idle to get my car to pass! Absolutely satisfied and reccomend anyone to get their emissions test done at Discount Smog Center! $50.00 without coupon is a great deal! 5 stars for service, timeliness, and value! read more

Great smog check! Convenient, quick, the owner is friendly and nice. Like the other reviews, I was in and out in about 20 minutes, there was one car ahead of me. This was about 1 pm on a Tuesday. As I was waiting, an ambulance pulled in and the owner told me he does their smog checks too. Print out the coupon and get $10 off. read more

Awesome. I called, got a price quote of $40, and headed over. They got me in and out in a jiffy. The one hitch was that when he hooked the machine up to my car, it started to malfunction. Thought I'd have to come back. But he banged the machine with the palm of his hand a few times and, Voila! It rebooted and all was well. Quick, easy, inexpensive, no nonsense. Can't go wrong here. read more

I have taken my car here twice to get a smog check and both times the service has been quick and friendly. I really appreciate how easy Phong makes the process! read more

Absolutely awesome. I got a $10 coupon from smogtips, which made it $40 including everything. This made him cheaper than ANYWHERE else would do my car (even before the coupon). One note is that you should bring a hard copy of the coupon, not a mobile copy. He was funny, too. And friendly. And fast. I mean, not only was he cheaper than anywhere else, he was really nice, and faster than anywhere else, too (if my last smog experience is anything to go by). As for the waiting room, I don't know what the poster who said it was dirty was talking about. I came at the end of the business day, and it was simple, but clean, spacious, & very cool despite the heat outside. I don't know why you'd want a bunch of extra amenities when you're only waiting about 15 minutes, anyway. Absolutely, if you need a test-only smog, go here. I will be sending all future business to him. P.S. To the guy who said he stole your AC lever knob: who steals one of those? Is there a run on them I don't know about. He *moved* your toll money, but stole your knob? Seriously? Seems more likely it got knocked off and lost (possibly by him, I don't know, I'm just saying 'stole' sounds like the wrong descriptor). read more

I drove my car to this shop around the opening hour and saw the technician there already warming up the testing machines ready to go. I didn't have to wait at all so that was nice. In and out around 15-20 minutes with no issue. The owner was also there and saw that my tires were somewhat soft so he voluntarily added airs to them without me asking. That was a pleasant surprise! I came here for many years (Phong was the tech) but the new ownership seems quite nice. I will continue to give them my business if they keep up with this level of service. read more

I had a bad experience at another shop so I started my smog journey $80 in the hole. I called for a quote and was told $50 for my Ridgeline. I asked if I could use the coupon and the gentleman said sure, that will take $10 off. I drove right over and watched him do everything and it passed. This is how you do business. Honest quote, honest work, you get a customer for life. Thanks guys. read more

Very fast!! I'm taking all my cars here from now on.. Rob Responds quick to any questions you ask him. Highly recommend this place.

Hot a quote from Rob they yelp. So stopped by during lunch. Robert is the technician who helped me. No wait. I was in and out under ten minutes... Recommended. read more

There was one other person that was there when I got there. I was in and out in no time, and with a kid with my that is important to me. I had a coupon so it was only $40 witch was great! I will for sure go back when I need another smog check. read more

I just bought a car from an out of state dealership. Went to get it smogged and it didn't pass the OBD test. The ECU had been reset. Turns out that someone left the interior light on at the dealership and the battery ran and out it sat for a week like that. He said to come back after a few days and at least a hundred miles. Went back and got retested for free. Passed this time with no problems. Quick service at a great price. read more

Personality goes a long way in my book. I must have smogged well over 100 cars at this shop in the past 3 years. When you do this kinda volume you inevitably run into a lot of crappy places before you find the right guy. read more

Rob, the owner, is very nice. I would recommend this shop to everyone. If you need a quality smog check whether or not it's "star" this is a great place to bring your vehicle. I brought my Toyota Sienna here a few weeks ago and I was really impressed. I don't write a lot of reviews but I thought these guys deserve a good five star rating for the good quality service they give. read more

Fast, friendly and reliable! Was even willing to wait for us to return with cash after already doing the smog on my car because his credit machine wasn't working. Definitely recommend. read more

I reached out through yelp for a quote and was quickly responded with a quick reply. I came shortly after and there were a few people in line but they got through it really shortly. I believe it was Robert who was my technician, sorry if I forgot the name, but he was very quick and helpful. He even showed me a part that was disconnected in my car that would prevent me from passing smog, then he placed it back in. These guys are very quick and I thank you guys for helping me on short notice. Thank you! read more

Best smog test experience with good service and price. He replaced my gasket with an old one (did not have a new one) and was honest enough to not charge me. I will make it a point to go him for my next smog test. read more

Don't be scared by the looks of this place...I was. It may look like it's in shambles, but he's so friendly and quick. This is the fastest and most efficient smog place I've ever been to and his pricing is ridiculously cheap....under $50. Outrageous! I don't think I've ever paid less than $100. If you forget your DMV slip at home, don't worry, he uses your license plate to electronically send the information. I've been to other places where they refuse to transmit it without the DMV form. He saved me another trip home. Great service! read more

Five stars for Robert. Super cool guy. Showed up when it opened. In and out of shop in less than 15 minutes. $58 out the door after smogtips coupon. Would recommend. read more

Rob was quick with my smog check on my 2005 Toyota Tacoma. Very good price for a smog check.

I called late on a Saturday and asked the owner if I would be able to have my van inspected if I came by in 10 minutes. He said yes. When I drove in, he met me, drove my van into the garage and conducted a prompt inspection. Unfortunately, the van failed, but he showed me the problem and explained what I needed to do to rectify the situation. I wasn't happy my van failed, but I have to say I received prompt and professional service. read more

I first went to another smog center on a coupon special. After they applied exceptions and extra costs onto that coupon the final price was almost double. I left that company mad and found this establishment. My final cost without any discounts or coupons was less than the others initial coupon price! As for service that day it was a one man show. Yet the technician juggled several cars at once and finished my car at about the 30 minute level. Despite working alone he kept up couteous service and kept me informed. By the time I left there were 5 cars waiting in line. That is the only difficulty as there is very little parking available. Worth the wait, great service and great attitude.
