Great place to get your smog check done! I tried booking an appointment online, but the automated message said no appointments are needed to come in. The lot was quite crowded when I came in on a weekday morning around 9:30am. When I entered the front, a gentleman quickly gave me a clipboard with a form to fill out. Quoted price is $60 for a smog check. Though, they also have coupons on their website and if you mention the Yelp special ($40 instead!). Competitive pricing compared to other shops in the area. When I came in, there were a few other folks waiting already and filling out forms. I probably waited around 20 minutes or so before it was my car's turn. The smog check itself was pretty quick. 5-10 minutes max. There's free wifi available while you wait in the waiting area. Super nice workers. Quick and reliable work done. I needed to get STAR smog testing for one of my cars and made use of the Yelp pricing again. It was helpful that Smoguys offered both the regular and STAR testing services. Their shop was located in a very busy auto center filled with many other car repair, body shops and one other smog tester but I was able to find parking right in front. Check-in went quickly after filling out the paperwork, handing over my keys and the DMV paperwork. There was a functional waiting room with about half a dozen chairs and a TV. However, I didn't spend much time inside as my car was completed in around 10 minutes. Test results were transmitted to the DMV and I completed my registration without any issues later that afternoon. Highly recommended for their pricing and quick turnaround. 10/10 recommend. I went around 1:45pm on a Wednesday without an appointment and was literally in and out in less than 15 mins! I simply found a parking spot, went inside, filled out the paperwork, and they told me it'd be 15-20mins. I sat in the little waiting room and just 7mins later, the car was done! They take cards, honor their online coupon, and allow for a free retest if your car fails! It was extremely convenient since I needed to go back to the DMV that same day. I had to come and get a smog check for my car and upon pulling into the auto lot you can tell it's a busy place because there was nowhere for me to park! I had to leave my car on the side and leave my emergency hazards in as I spoke with the mechanic to ask how long the smog check would take. He quoted me saying 30 minutes and I was surprised since there were like 4 other people in the store but I realized they have two readers so they're pretty efficient. Can't complain about the price because it's the best I've been able to find thus far at $40 with friendly quick service. I was able to pay with a card and they said that I just have to wait 24 hrs to have the e-paperwork go through. They even have wifi available in their waiting room. Needed to do a standard smog check. They don't take appointments and break for lunch between 12-1pm. I rolled up at 11:45am, was greeted and was taken care of immediately and out of there by noon. Paid $65 for the smog check and they were super quick and efficient. Got my car registration within a week. Would recommend them. One note is the parking lot is pretty tight, lots of auto shops and car work being done. So you just have to be vigilant pulling in and out of there. There was nobody in the waiting area, and I had to go through the door to the shop to find the tech. He wasn't very friendly, and acted like I was disturbing him. When I mentioned the price on the website, he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about, until I brought up the web page on my phone. I decided to go in person and they were closed for lunch (outside of the 12-1 hour they said they took lunch).
