Extortion. On April 3, 2023, I purchased a broken, disposable cartridge through Smoakland. On Thursday, April 6, 2023, I was told, by video chat that I have a copy of, that Smoakland would not do anything to replace the broken item until I sent them a video of me smoking marijuana. It is reiterated several times in the conversation including the mention that management has spoken and the video is required to move forward. I have the conversation copied, I did not send a video of me smoking marijuana. It was a simple $30, online transaction which equates to a contract. and they used extortion to get out of fixing the broken issue. The company has adopted an internal policy to require patrons who want to return an item to send a video, non-secured, of them smoking marijuana or the case cannot move forward. That is flat-out extortion by a cannabis delivery company. Companies that extort the public should not be allowed to do business with the public. I would like my $30 back as well, please. The website is weird doesnt give you accurate info ex last delivery wasnt in 1969.... agents ignore your chat when asking for help. Delivery is always bad rarely are they reliable, they are late, sometimes mark you as if your not home when they don't event notify you they are coming (false delivery) then you order oranges and get apples they have items you order then 2hours waiting they tell you they are out of your items so if you'd like to then cancel or get something else.... When I first started with these guys, they were great, now though, not so great. I was just just messaging, online chat, a guy named DANIEL, he took forever to reply, and then ended our convo before I was done talking to him. My issue was I couldn't apply my discount of 6 dollars on a $49 dollar zip. The subtotal has to be $49 I'm order to make an online order. So I removed my 6 dollar discount (mind you I got this discount from spending x amount of money at this place) so I remove the discount and now I can click submit order, EXCEPT that there's $7 and some change for delivery fee (which does NOT include the tip) and then $16 and some change for taxes. So really, and it wasn't always like this, to buy one $49 dollar zip, the total comes out to $73 dollars and I can't use any of my discounts and then I have to still tip the guy (I don't have to, but that's messed up, I have to) . So for them to say it's a 49 dollar zip is not truthful, maybe if I went into the store if there is one then you can call it that. It use to be easier, without all the crazy high fees. I guess that happens over time. Plus the guy, it wasn't a slow bot, was really slow and responses and then ended our chat before it was over. The last time I ordered from them I also had a poor experience. They were late missed the window made another window to come (I had told my work I was going to be late to get this, and then they were late) so the new window I called work, they missed that window! So I told them. Nevermind this is ridiculous. Then I get a text saying they came and missed me! I immediately called and said that's nonsense nobody came. Long story long, they send another guy out, arrived an hr later and gave me what I ordered. I missed a whole days work . With all that said, they weren't always like this, and maybe it's just me, I don't know, I'm just saying my couple past experiences have been not good. So maybe this helps someone maybe this doesn't. I might be out of yours for a week or two but then it always comes back . If not they have tons of things to choose from .
