After avoiding Smokey Bones for a few years because of their mass incompetence, we decided to try it again tonight. I wish I could turn back time and tell us to make a sandwich with the old turkey we had in the fridge instead. We ordered $100 of food for pickup. When we got the bag to the car, the bag felt light so we checked it. They forgot to include the Filet medallions, one of two meals we had gotten. Went back in, and they realized that yes, they had forgotten to include the headliner of the $30 meal. We sat there while they fired up the filet, steak medallions we had requested to be 'medium'. 20 minutes later, they handed us the bag and we went home. At home, it became clear that Smokey Bones still has not perfected, or even improved, their processes. The side Caesar was misnamed and should have been called a lettuce crouton salad as once again, the headlining Caesar Dressing, which is literally in the name of the salad, was forgotten. The filet medallions were also inappropriately named as they actually consisted of just 1 filet medallion and 2 miniature hockey pucks. The dog had an extra treat tonight, but he was a little skeptical about eating char. The rack of ribs with a side of steak and wings was conveniently packed into the same carton, ensuring that all things were equally coated in loads of buffalo wing sauce. Wow. So it's not that I didn't read the reviews first, it's that after 6 years or so, I was hopeful that maybe they were going to do better. But that was a mistake... a $100 mistake. Description of smoked wings: giant + juicy + rubbed + slow smoked + drizzled with a sweet glaze + dusted with house seasoning. I somehow can't help but notice that it was none of the above. The description should have said small, dry, sauceless, depressing wings that were smoked for an entire week. It feels like getting punked... when you order something off of Amazon and get a totally different product. Don't get the house made baked beans. What the smoked wings were lacking, I think the beans made up for. It was straight bbq sauce with beans in it...also cooking for aa entire week. I'm not sure where to begin. First off, the restaurant was cold! About 75% of the patrons had their winter coats on throughout the meal, ourselves included. Do they even know where the thermostat is? Take a look around and if everyone has a coat on, turn up the heat! The service was lousy at best. Our server was not very attentive. The pulled pork sandwich was the best I've had anywhere in a long time. Smokey Bones has the best BBQ sauces around. And they have e the best French Fries as well. I ate at the bar a the service was spectacular. I decided to try this restaurant today for lunch while my car was being serviced. It's a quick walk from the numerous car dealerships in the area. What a perfect place to hang out while my car is being serviced. I'll be stopping in more often as I really enjoyed my lunch break. Kay was a fantastic bartender. They had almost no meat on them and the tortilla that was there was staile. 2 orders of tacos that looked like someone took bites from them. I've been to this restaurant many times and always thought it was OK but nothing special. We ordered delivery from here and found that we truly enjoyed the food. I want to first of all except the macaroni and cheese from that because that was just some cooked macaroni stuffed into a Styrofoam to go cup with a glob of cheese on the side, not even enough cheese to cover the macaroni and it was pricey. The ribs were delicious and plenty of them. I got the pulled pork sandwich which was a special so you got two for the price of one. Started out pretty rocky, glad we stayed. We got there right around 930 on a Monday night for unlimited wings for $12.99. A woman sat us and we waited.. and waited.. 10 minutes until a server came over just to say 'I'll be back in 2 minutes'... another 10 minutes and finally the woman that seated us decided to take over. 20 minutes just for acknowledgment and water. I'm so glad this place is open late! The late night staff were relaxed but still attentive. The decor is casual with a sports bar feel. They had a few different games playing on the lined up TVs above the bar, so it also seems like a good spot to grab a beer and a game with lunch or dinner. I tried the pulled pork and baby back ribs with mashed potatoes and beans. Everything was delicious! The meats were flavorful, tender, and not overly sweet or sauced. The mash wasn't too creamy or dry, just right. The beans and toast were both very good. I left with a full belly and still had some leftover to take home. I do think they could do a better job with Covid safety though. For example, making sure their patrons are following the Covid-19 safety guidelines, as we did notice a group of people wandering around the restaurant with no masks on. Also, our booth seats were a bit greasy and could have used a wipe down. Those little things standout even more nowadays. Overall, still a good experience. Stopped in here on a Saturday evening with friends. Great atmosphere, and the food was really great. The manager gave me the Scorpion sauce (which I highly recommend). Before all the Negativity I just gotta say K8lyn was a great server, one of the best in the country. Anyways upon arrival They had me and my friend waiting over 20 minutes just to be served. I asked why we were waiting soo long and they said there are only 2 servers on a Friday night and didn't even apologize for making us wait soo long. Also there were Employees getting into heated arguments while we were waiting making things uncomfortable. When I got my food I ordered a medium rare steak it came with raw sweet potato fries that had a slight raw crunch to them with absolutely no flavor. Adding to that my sauce that came with my steak was halfway spilt onto the plate so I had to wait for my server to come back and give me more sauce. When I was waiting for my sauce to eat my steak that's when I attempted to eat the raw non flavored fries again. They were too bland and raw for me to eat so I asked for broccoli which was actually pretty good. Once My sauce came I finally was able to eat my steak. I put the sauce over it and cut into a well done steak. My server then had them cook another one for me and when it came out she gave me more fries which I appreciated. This time the steak came out looking amazing, had a very nice sear, and just seemed to be perfect until I took a bite into what was probably one of the toughest pieces of meat I have ever eaten. I couldn't eat more than half it was just too tough. I've never in my life had a tough medium rare steak. Like how.
