Surprise - I'm back! My 3rd visit and it was just as delicious as the most recent visit! The waitstaff are friendly without being intrusive. We both ordered the Rib special which comes with 3-4 ribs, two sides and garlic bread. I chose fries & baked beans. My friend chose coleslaw and baked beans. We both ordered sweet teas. Our waitress was so sweet and helpful. She even gave us fresh teas to go. This time, I remembered to take pics of our food. However, when the cherry cobbler w/ice cream arrived - it looked so yummy that I neglected to get that pic. But I did take a snapshot of the sign when you walk in that shows the Rib special and the cherry cobbler! I honestly cannot wait to eat there again!

Trying to decide what to have for dinner I turned to Yelp, as I often do. This place has mostly good reviews, so I decided to take my daughter and go give it a try. We arrived and walked into a a dining room with a sign directing patrons to "Please Seat Yourself," which is what we did. I love the vibe in this place, the decor is reminiscent of the bbq places I would visit with my parents in the late 1960's and early 1970's. I ordered a two item combo with ribs, sausage, green beans, and bbq beans, which was also served with garlic bread. The beans, both kinds, were freaking off the hook! Delicious! The ribs and sausage were really good, too, especially when eaten with the different varieties of bbq sauces. My daughter ordered a pulled pork sandwich and french fries. She said her meal was very good. Lastly, I overheard another table order peanut butter pie. I haven't had it before, so I asked if my server could pack it to go, since I was full after finishing my dinner. She said yes and boxed it up for me. I ate it later, and wow! It was awesome! I'll be returning with the whole family, for sure. This place is a great find!

Quaint little spot in Pcola. Come in, seat yourself. Staff offers suggestions is asked and patient on the undecided customer lol. The food comes super quick and taste authentically smoked. Some items are even homemade that you usually get Sysco made at other places.

Walking in I am excited thinking man this place has been transported from the 80s this must be legit pit bbq. We both ordered two meat plates, beef and pulled pork turkey and ribs. Two sides bbq beans Cole slaw and green beans. I have to say the sides were the best sort of the meal aside the Cole slaw which was a bit sour for my liking. The bbq beans and green beans were very well flavored and perfect serving temperature. The turkey and the beef looked like lunch meat slices barely paper thin and they were not very warm. Not typical of a real pit bbq in my opinion. The pulled pork was nothing special either. Luke warm meat you had to drown in the bbq sauce to get any flavor. The ribs were moist and surprisingly seasoned. They were the warmest meat on either plate. We did not get the garlic bread and after seeing what they pass off as garlic bread I am glad. They appeared to be anemic angled long skinny slices of buttered French bread. No resemblance of any garlic bread I've ever seen. I'm looking for fat slides of Texas toast if I am getting it. I certainly hope I saw something different. Walking out we did peer into the kitchen and did not see an actual pit. The meat could be cooked on a grill or smoked and just being kept perpetually warmed in the kitchen. Until I see a pit it's not legit. Our waitress was wonderful and the sweet tea was on point. Inside was adorable I felt like I was literally in an old 80s bbq joint.

I'd give them 3.5 stars if I could…read more We came in TH evening, 9/3/26. I ordered the taster boat, a smoked meat sampler w/ sliced chix breast (sort of dry), brisket (nice smoke bark but lacked seasoning and that good smoke flavor, was juicy but maybe it sat in au jus or beef broth, which took away the smokiness from the meat? ), rib piece (flat part of the rib, overly seasoned; my husband ordered the 3 meat combo and said his actual rib wasn't overly seasoned so maybe it was just the flat piece I received), smoked sausage, & pulled pork. I ordered the green beans & red skinned potato salad, reminded me of Publix's with some added mustard, to make a smaller meal as I wasn't that hungry. This filled me up and I packed up the pulled pork to go. It wasn't not dried out like some pulled pork can be. It gave the full flavor of pulled pork. I ordered an old fashioned, cause why not? It seemed like a better choice to go with barbecue than the Arnold Palmer I wanted to order with all the sugar. ‍ It was smoked and the bartender, Josie, also our server, allowed me to remove the top when I felt the drink had enough smoke, which I appreciated. As an old fashioned snob I'd recommend getting true craft ice & not using maraschino cherries. BUT the price point for everything, even the drinks is considerably lower than we'd expect; but we're used to Atlanta & TX prices for barbecue. ‍ No, seriously, the prices are low; no complaints there. AND they offer military discount. Oh and you get a discount if you pay with cash. His 3 meat combo included the ribs, brisket, & smoked sausage. He wanted chicken but they only had white meat. His brisket rivals barbecue restaurants. He was open to giving them another try. He said he really wanted to taste the smoke flavor, not just smell it from the pit outside. We ordered the same sides. They brought out white bread, usually by request and also some butter. That was a 1st for me. The bread wasn't the softest but it was probably on the line or near it exposed to heat, which dried it out In guessing?. I ordered the praline pecan pie. It was very tasty. Think caramel added to pecan pie w/o big pecan halves, More like pieces, and topped with whipped cream and praline pecan pieces. Delicious. Initially I thought it was too sweet but it was so good i kept eating it and once he tried it, my husband had several bites too. It's not even that big slice of pie. lol Josie provided great customer service, constantly refilling my husband's water, checking on us, & providing recommendations. The restroom was clean. It was decorated maybe from the 4th of July or for the Labor Day weekend. It seemed quite spacious as there was an area that was closed beyond the bar and smaller restaurant seating area. The TVs have closed captioned. I said we needed to give them another try when it wasn't 45-60 minutes before closing. So we'll do that. It was decent.

I learned quickly that the area is NOT vegetarian friendly and this place was one of the few exceptons. The staff we interacted with were incredibly friendly and they always got food out in a timely manner. We ended up visiting the food truck 2-3 times during our trip because we trusted the quality of what was being served. The one thing I can say that I was disappointed with was their sauces. A bit ironic, as it's in the name but they were extremely underwhelming. We ended up using sauces we had saved from other spots. I still highly recommend trying them as their food was very good!

It was the evening time and it's a food truck, but I felt safe because there was curbside parking right in front, and a well-lit outdoor seating area. The customer service was great, and even though there was a short wait, it was worth it. I don't mind waiting for quality food. The burger was juicy and flavorful, and the fries were perfectly hot, crispy, and a nice change from the usual. There's a nice variety of burgers. There's something for those who are more adventurous, and options for people who like a more of a classic burger. I also loved the variety of house-made sauces. I only tried one (I forgot the name of it), but it really set the food off. The portions are generous. I couldn't even finish my food. Just make sure you get plenty of napkins. It gets messy!

It was good to return to familiar surroundings and find a restaurant offering a different dining experience. The interior is attractive, clean, and inviting. The restaurant also offers Korean barbecue, with tabletop grills built into several booths. It is a nice option for families, groups, or anyone interested in a more interactive meal. I went specifically looking for authentic Korean food. Having experienced Bulgogi while serving in Korea, it quickly became one of my favorite dishes. Most chain restaurants do not do the dish particularly well, so I decided to give Kalbi Ichiban's version a try. My waiter, **Carson**, was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout the meal. He checked on me regularly without being intrusive and made the overall experience even better. Carson receives five stars from me. The meal came with Bulgogi, rice, and a choice of soup or salad. I selected fried rice and started with the hot and sour soup. I also ordered a side of kimchi because, in my opinion, a Korean meal is not complete without it. The hot and sour soup was excellent. It had great flavor, was well prepared, and was easily one of the highlights of the meal. The fried rice was good, although nothing about it particularly stood out. The Bulgogi was tender and very flavorful, but it was wetter than traditional Bulgogi. Authentic Bulgogi is normally much drier, with the marinade cooked into the meat rather than leaving it with a gravy-like consistency. Even with that difference, the flavor was enjoyable. The kimchi was also very good and added the right touch to the meal. Interestingly, the hot and sour soup was spicier than the kimchi. However, different regions of Korea prepare kimchi in different ways, so the level of heat and flavor can vary considerably. Overall, I was pleased with the meal and would rate the food **8.5 out of 10**. After adding a couple of cocktails, I was also pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the final bill was. I would rate the restaurant **two dollar signs out of five for price**, making it a good value for the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. Kalbi Ichiban may not serve Bulgogi exactly as I remember it from Korea, but it delivered a flavorful and satisfying meal. Combined with Carson's excellent service, the inviting atmosphere, and reasonable prices, it was an enjoyable dining experience and a restaurant I would visit again.
