The rye bread was on the edge of being stale. I have to say the staff was very nice and friendly. They don't accept credit cards. A sight is written on a post it note at the register buried behind a faux plant. I was $.22 short and offered to go to the cash machine across the hall but the owner declined. The service it relatively fast so if your taste buds don't mind and you are tired of fast food chains this could be a respectful alternative. She advised me that while they do make the breaded chicken in a fryer they had just cleaned the equipment and changed the oil (if you are sensitive to cross contamination you know how important the shared fryer situation can be). That woman reserved one self contained fryer for fries only all day. I went back at 4pm to get my meal. She double checked everything from the sauce to the seasoning, everything.
