Excellent food. We went out to find BBQ at 9:30pm on a Saturday night and found this place. All meats and side dishes were available at that time even though we were close to closing. The meet was smoked perfectly, ribs were fall off the bone, macaroni and cheese was like Sunday dinner, greens tender but not overcooked, sweet potatoes soft but not mushy. I had Zennas today based on Yelp reviews. The food was really good! The loaded baked potato is the largest I've ever seen! The chicken and brisket were top shelf. The ribs were pretty standard - not a TON of flavor - and slightly over-cooked but decent. Zenna and her crew were very pleasant and helpful. I'm a bit disappointed. My cousin was really hungry for bbq. So the yelped in me, said let's see what I can find without going to a chain. I ran across this place and got pretty freakin excited, only to be let down. I packed my kids up, my cousin and I hooped in the car and headed to Zenna's. Only to pull up to any empty parking lot at 8:00pm, with 10:00 close. I was confused, I called, no answer and no message that they would be closed on the machine or the door. I looked on yelp again, it says open but not open. Dickey's ended up getting my money, which was horrible. Every few years we re-visit Duncanville (for nostalgia's sake, since I grew up there.) Had no idea where to eat this time, so we trusted Yelp to lead us to a new place. The three previous reviews here were right on the money. Zennas BBQ and More is excellent! We both got a two-meat combo platter ($10.50 for turkey/brisket, $11.00 for sausage/ribs) and a couple of lemonades. All delicious. Really, the meat was so tender and seasoned so perfectly, with just the right amount of BBQ sauce on top. Side items (macaroni & cheese and yams on mine, macaroni & cheese and coleslaw on husband's) were very flavorful too. We both have hearty appetites and we couldn't quite finish our meals -- the portions were quite generous. We were sitting by a TV and one of the friendly employees asked us if we wanted him to change it to the basketball game (March Madness is in full swing). We appreciated that. Next time I'm in the Duncanville area (we won't wait several years), we'll be visiting Zenna's again. read more

I am only posting this because i want to see Zennas grow and be successful. I am definitely going to say as far as customer service and the friendly staff they absolutely deserve five plus stars. I Have to be honest I believe that as they are growing and are here longer the food will also get better. I Am one that truly believes great side items make up alot of how I feel about my meal. The sides I had with my meal just were not on point. The greens had absolutely no juice they were very dry and for some strange reason i swear I Tasted sage????? the mac and cheese was dry and no flavor and not cheesy. The potato salad just not good. I Also love true smoked meat and I Just did not get that flavor in my meat.
