    Half a combination

Sunday night cravings for Bánh Mi had us driving over to south Federal area. Found this delicious bakery and sandwich shop. Locally owned and operated. Sandwiches made to order Fast! Baked good were delicious. We had an almond cookie and a strawberry turnover which I ate before I could take a picture. Everything is spot on here with the traditional Banh Mi sandwich. French baguette with fresh meats and pickles ingredients with a slice of jalapeño and cilantro on top. So much food. I couldn't eat it all. Definitely worth the drive. Plenty of seating inside and fast service. We arrived and there was a line for dinner but it went fast and we sat inside. Tables and chairs in a clean seating area. Bathrooms were well kept as well.

Love this place! Still has to be the best banh mi shop in Colorado! Bread is crisp and flaky, veggies are all fresh and crunchy, meat is flavorful and they dont skimp on the meat! Pair that up with a coffee and some sides...and you're all set! I will always come back to this spot when a craving/itch for a banh mi pops up.

After just discovering the Great Wall supermarket across the street, and despondently wandering it and the La Petite Bakery in the same strip and walking out of both places with nothing, I was driving away - sad when I noticed the big Vinh Xiong Bakery sign letters across the large parking lot! I was thinking they would def have Vietnamese iced coffee - which they did - and maybe they would even have the Vietnamese egg coffee - which they didn't. But maybe they would have delicious fresh savory snacks even though it says "bakery" which they totally DID (did NOT disappoint!!). I got like 1 of each kind of bun - bbq pork baked, bbq pork steamed, and steamed meat w/quail egg. I also got a corn custard confection which looked so delicious, colorful, and creative. This 5 star review is for the meat pastry!! OMG, so savory and soothing - Like a chicken soup feeling! Wow, now I am addicted. This will totally be my go-to snack spot in this neighborhood - Athmar Park. The service from the lady that works there was very friendly. I think she said they had been there for 40 years!! W H A T !! very cool and incredible!

Was visiting Denver from Chicago and decided to come here before heading to the airport as my friend lives in the neighborhood nearby. Oh my god! Honestly, this is somehow one of the best Banh Mi's I've had in a very long time (and I'm from Southern California near Westminster originally so I know a good Banh Mi). I was a bit skeptical when I walked in as I was thinking I'd see Vietnamese people working here which I didn't, but wow... the bread was extremely fresh and had the perfect texture. We got the bbq pork one and one of their special ones. Just amazing! I also love that they have a jalapeño and chili oil station where you can grab napkins and utensils. They also sell jars of that chili oil as well. Just so clutch! Also, plenty of seating and they also sell the typical refrigerated Viet food offerings that you'd expect at any Banh Mi place as well. Will be back when I'm back in Denver!

Popped in during Lunar New Year festivities. It was busy, but they got us in and out quickly. My go to picks are the sesame buns and sesame balls. This time they had Chinese Fried Dough and my family loved them. This spot has several items to pick from and reasonably priced. Always wonderful to support a locally family-owned business.

The food was delicious and fresh. I choose the grilled pork and it was delicious. The service was as friendly and quick. Overall atmosphere was good however there was some music that wasn't appropriate for kids so the reason for the 4 stars.

Fry bread and egg roll bite! Mango smoothie and tea!

I feel so lucky this sweet spot is in my hood. Went first thing to get a yummy mango smoothie and chrysanthemum tea- perfectly sweet and refreshing! Ambiance is always chill with great music and plants galore! They know us by name and it feels so homey! Don't miss out on the baked goods like the pork puff and fry bread- oooh and the egg rolls are perfection!

I bought delicious banh da lon (Vietnamese dessert) here! I was so happy to find it here because it's not sold in many other places. Would like to come back some time and try the banh mi.

Tasty banh mi sandwiches next to the Asian market on alameda. I've never had a banh mi before so this was a nice first experience. I wanted to try the combination but was a little scared by the pate and head cheese. I also got a moon cake (I think) and a taro milk tea. The taro milk tea was not sweet but very creamy and still a nice taro flavor and very purple. The moon cake was like nothing I've ever tasted before and I'm not sure how to describe it. It was filled with dense coconut which was tasty. I'll definitely be coming back here

    Duck bánh mì

At first glance, the location looks very on brand with a good bánh mì hole-in-the-wall -- limited seating, grab-and-go items available, nothing fancy. I was a bit skeptical with the food since I didn't see any Vietnamese people working the counter but the staff was very friendly and took our order quickly. I ordered the duck bánh mì since I've never seen that back home. The bread was the perfect crisp but not dry on the inside. The duck was good but the relish was a bit thicker than I'm used to. Overall very tasty. The menu is a bit interesting since it seems like they charge more for making the bánh mì into spring rolls or a bowl even though the bread tends to be more expensive than the spring roll wrapper. But other than that, it's a solid place!

Two words: Banh Mi. If I'm craving a Banh Mi in Denver, this is one of two places I'm going to. Consistent, delicious, and fresh every time. Vinh Xuong Bakery has a bit of cult following if you ask me. It's a place that caters to the Vietnamese population, yet has expanded its reach throughout the Denver area. The shop is larger than you'd expect, and even though Banh Mi is one of my favorite foods to shovel down in my car, I'll usually dine in since the atmosphere is homey and quaint. Now they also serve pastries, moon cake, fresh breads, teas and Vietnamese iced coffee (delish). I usually stray away from the pastries, but one of these days I'll step outside of my comfort zone and try some things I've never tried before! Combination Banh Mi // Chinese BBQ pork, Vietnamese ham, and pork headcheese w/ a pate spread. YUM. YUM. YUM. Crispy bread, salty meats, fresh herbs and vegetables. Personally, my pro tip for taking it from 10 to 11 is by adding chili oil and pickled jalapeños. I like it spicy and these balance the sandwich exquisitely. I love Vinh Xuong Bakery. I implore you to add a Banh Mi from here to your Denver foodie bucket list!

Warm Tofu Bahn Mi with mayo bc I'm not a sociopath.
    Crissa C.

Tofu Bahn Mi w/ mayo (because I am not a sociopath, and you should not be either): The bread is crushably light, crispy outer crust, overall featherweight and fresh. Tofu is warm, marinated in a neutral savory bath of flavors, and sliced into rectangular logs. Veggies are fresh, crisp, bright. Overall, 10/10 I was worried about ordering the tofu version because I've been burned by other Bahn Mi places in the past. You will not find cold, lifeless, pale, white slabs of tofu here. You will also not get a sandwich that is completely overpowered by the pickled veggies which has happened to me before at other places. The tofu sandwich here is balanced, contrasting, warm and cold, bright and savory, and the incredible chili oil and fresh jalapeño slices near the napkins is a fun and exciting addition if you enjoy even more flavor! This place is not nearby to my routine, so I'll have to make the extra long drive here, but it will be worth it! I encourage you to try the sandwich even if you are a meat eater. It is addictive.

Vinh Xuong is hands-down one of the best banh mis in the Denver area. Their bread is perfectly crunchy and airy. It's become a part of my routine, before I shop at GW which is in the same plaza, I stop by so I don't shop on a hungry stomach. My go-to is the combination which has all the fix-ins. It's a little pricey for a banh mi, but I think it's standard for the Denver area. It can be a bit heavy with the pickled carrots and daikon, but that's pretty minor as I just take out the extra. They have some other goodies. I had the egg rolls, and they reminded me of my mom's! Depending on the time of day, they can be a bit packed, but their service is decently fast so the wait is almost never too long.

I ended up getting quiche for myself, pepperoni pizza for my wife as well as a plain croissant, chocolate pistachio croissant and maple cinnamon bun. The quiche was just okay in my opinion but everything else was stand out. My wife loved the pizza and the homemade ranch is AMAZING. The chocolate pistachio croissant was tasty, very flakey. I had it saved but couldn't quite remember why...until we turned the corner and saw a line out the door around noon on a Sunday. Normally that might be a dealbreaker, but once we saw the food coming out, we were all in, it looked way too good to pass up. The menu is stacked: everything from sweet pastries to savory sandwiches and even pizzas on what looked like fresh, fluffy focaccia. I went with the prosciutto sandwich (prosciutto, cheese, pesto on focaccia), and it was incredible--simple, fresh, and packed with flavor. My girlfriend had the ham sandwich on a baguette, which was just as good. We were also tempted by the turkey and some seasonal options, so we'll definitely be back to try more. We couldn't leave without grabbing a couple pastries. The almond croissant was a hit (my girlfriend saved it for the next morning and loved it), and the standout for me was the cinnamon white chocolate cookie--kind of like a snickerdoodle but with white chocolate chips. Easily a top tier cookie. Between the quality, variety, and how clearly everything is made with care, this place jumped straight to the top of my list. Worth the wait, worth the hype, and absolutely worth a return trip.

The fruits sandwich made with shokupan bread was light and fresh, an excellent pick-me-up. This is a standard Japanese snack done beautifully. The beef curry wrapped in dough, crusted in panko crumbs, and deep-fried was excellent. The curry itself had real flavor and zest, and the surrounding crust was delicious too.
