The Smoothies Are So Good! I Love How There Are Dairy Free Options! The Service Is Great Everytime!

I used to always drive past Smoothie King on Stateline and Barry Road until recently, when I decided to stop by the one on Barry Road to give it a try. I must say that I've been missing out on some delicious options. I tried the Power Meal Spinach Pineapple, which includes pineapples, a white grape lemon juice blend, almonds, organic spinach, Gladiator® Protein Vanilla, a protein blend, and a multivitamin enhancer. I also added ginger. It was yummy! The following week, I tried the Metabolism Boost Chocolate Banana. This smoothie contains bananas, nonfat milk, a protein blend, Gladiator® Protein Vanilla, 100% cocoa, a fiber blend enhancer, and a metabolism boost enhancer. I became addicted to it, so for the next two weeks, I ordered the same thing. The location on Barry Road has a 20 oz option, but you get a 32 oz for the same price. "WINNING!" Smoothie King by Zona Rosa has really raised it's prices. I went to the drive up by Zona Rosa today with $4 off on the app, but the price was still high. Their smoothies are ok, although I think the walk in Smoothie King by Liberty is better. I ordered a chocolate gladiator but couldn't taste the chocolate at all. read more

Love this location! Always friendly, always fast and good smoothies! This location even provided plastic cups for the kids sizes which I love because they usually destroy the styrofoam ones. We got kiwi apple,pineapple, and angle food which is the kids favorite of course! The kiwi apple is a veggie/green option and it was surprisingly very good!! The only thing about this location is getting out and into it, but they do offer a two way drive thru which is amazing when they get busy! read more

There were bits of plastic in my smoothie. I kept having little pieces I'd pick out of my mouth thinking they were small pieces of fruit or something. Admittedly, I put them back in and take another swig. But I just pulled one out that's a half inch long. It's like the plastic bag type plastic. I went near close and they are currently closed. Sunday, 6/22/25 @ 7:45 PM: I gave my order, paid with my debit card, including a tip. I waited 15 mins, while both employees walked by the drive-up window each looking out seeing me waiting. The employee who originally did not take my order asked what I had ordered. Another 5+ mins pass and they brought my Smoothie to me. As I drove off I realized they gave me a small rather than the medium I ordered and paid for (including a tip)! I choose to let it slide, figuring I would share the incident with you all. I've actually never been to an only drive-thru Smoothie King. You can order online and stop at their door and they'll hand them over to you but it's primary a drive-thru. Nothing special otherwise from a Smoothie King. Got the blue berry tart which they whipped up fast though the speaker that you talk in to isn't the best i.e. they couldn't hear me too well so I had to repeat myself several times. They were cool enough to break a $50 bill the ATM spat out and I left them a $2 tip. They all share the tips from their cup. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. This has been the most horrible experience and I have not even gotten my smoothie yet. I placed a mobile order and was not able to use my rewards, so I called the store to see if they could cancel it,. The girl who answered the phone was extremely rude and didn't even let me finish my question about canceling before she HUNG up the phone on me. Awful customer service and I would recommend going to the one on Cosby ave or any other location. What a terrible experience. Got my smoothie after 38 minutes in line and it tastes awful, not what my usual order tastes like. Unfortunately Smoothie King and their smoothie recipes are overly sweet and taste like drinking a cup of sugar with fruit flavoring. Their menu has lost variety, removing healthy options like açaí smoothies. Jamba Juice and Robeks are such amazing smoothie shops with incredible smoothies that are fresh, delicious and healthy. I really wish Kansas City had these options. Moving from LA, it's been impossible to find a good smoothie place that doesn't make you feel like you're ordering a candy drink and that you can feel good about drinking. read more

Very convenient to have one of these in the area. This Smoothie King is a drive-thru almost exclusively. There is a walk-up window, but I'm not sure how often it's used. They are pretty quick with getting orders together. I prefer an Orange KaBam, which, oddly is not listed on the menu, but they still make it. Nice place to kick start your day, or after a workout, if you do that sort of thing. read more

Smoothies are delicious. I even got one for my bday off of front flip. Said 12oz but it was totally a kid size that seemed like an 8oz. But it was a nice thing to get on my bday. You can tell this place is severely understaffed (as to why it takes 20+ minutes to get your order) the kid at the window was very nice but was very flustered (obviously I would be too) there was only 2 people in the store making the smoothies, and taking orders for god knows how long, I have even came in, in the past where there was only 1 person working. Smoothie was good, and the kid was nice but cmon now 20+ minutes to get a smoothie is ridiculous maybe y'all should hire more people or have more people working I'm sure they could afford it considering how busy it always is. Always great to grab a smoothie here after dropping off the kids to school, a quick snack after school, as a meal for lunch or especially after a workout! Basically ANYTIME! :) My favorite (and regular standby) is the Immune Builder, a strawberry banana blend. I'm wanting to try a fruit and veggie blend next time. The girls (and occasional dude) at the window are always cheerful, friendly and talkative. They even alerted me to the SK app, which I promptly downloaded. Now every time I go, it gets scanned and ads up to free ad ins or eventually a free smoothie! If you've never been before, start on a Friday as you can get a medium sized (HUGE by the way) for a flat $5 and it will last half your day...maybe more. Wouldn't you much rather slurp on a tasty and healthy Smoothie King today than eat nasty fried food from around the corner?? PERSONAL TIP FROM ME TO YOU: Make a change in your life and stop eating so much darned fast food and soda and substitute a real smoothie (not the McD's smoothie which does not compare) and try out SK!
