I've been ordering from Smoothie Spot Kendall / Phat Kitchen for a long time and genuinely enjoy the food, which is why this review is disappointing to write. The prices are already very high, so at the very least I expect to receive the actual ingredients listed on the menu. I almost always order the Veggie Wrap with added chicken. The menu clearly lists avocado, tomato, mushrooms, sautéed peppers, etc. Yet whenever a specific employee is working, I'm repeatedly told avocado is "extra" and that all I paid for was chicken -- despite avocado being part of the wrap itself. Today was the final straw. I ordered delivery through Uber Eats and received a message asking what I wanted on the wrap because I "only added chicken :)". I responded explaining that I ordered the Veggie Wrap exactly as listed on the app and even referenced the ingredients shown on the menu. No response after that. What arrived was basically spinach and peppers in a wrap. No avocado, no tomatoes, no sautéed vegetables, and the chicken I paid extra for was placed separately in a container instead of inside the wrap. Mistakes happen, but this has become a repeated issue and at this point it feels less like confusion and more like careless customer service. If ingredients listed on the menu are considered "extra," the menu should be corrected instead of customers repeatedly having to argue for what they already paid for. read more

I have given this place so many chances with the food, and when it comes to the meat it always disappoints. It doesn't take long to make fresh chicken. It's always dry asf and hard to chew. When I entered the store, I said Hello, two ladies looked at me and turned around... I thought maybe they didn't hear me.. I wanted a paper menu, I found them scattered on the top of the salad bar.. I grabbed one, took a glance and placed my order... The lady that was assisting me was very rude, when I asked a question she looked at me and kept questioning, for example, when I ordered a bowl, she grabbed the menu out my hand to see what I was referring to and said ok come over here the .. another instance I asked for guacamole, she replied No guacamole because you have 6 items. I said ok I want to pay for it.. we don't have it right now... no problem... I then asked for avocado she repeated you have 6!items , I gently reminded her that I would pay for it... Ordering my Cesar wrap was also a nightmare... she grabbed a few piece of iceberg lettuce threw some cheese, a watered down Cesar dressing and what looked like day old chicken.... Everything was bland and did not taste good at all... The smooth was decent but I took two sips and threw it away... Honestly it was a waste of $40'dollars.. Instead of coke, you can purchase a smoothie with your meal. There were so many to choose from. The bowls and smoothies were really yummy and expensive. Our first visit did not go that well, but as soon as the owner and manager Evelyn found out about our first experience there, they immediately and personally reached out to me to make things right. Not only did they invite us both back to have a smoothie, but they also welcomed us with amazing customer service. If you happen to stop by make sure to ask for Jennifer. She is full of positivity, funny and gives great recommendations. I ordered the chocolate frappe, which comes with protein, it is delicious and great for to have if looking for tasty post-workout protein shake. My boyfriend ordered the Funks smoothie and asked for strawberry protein instead of vanilla. Very refreshing! They were very accommodating to our requests and happy to do so. The service was HORRIBLE. I placed an order for delivery. However, it took so long that I contacted Smoothie Spot and was told to that the order was for pick up. I stated that I paid $15.00 in delivery fees for a total of $50.00 for an acai bowl and a garlic salad. When I arrived at the place, I was told that my order was picked up even after she told me to go to the store to get my food. I asked the girl if she can make me a new one since the acai bowl was probably melted and watered down and still not delivered to my work. She had to call the owner for permission. She communicated to the owner what happened and then stated that the owner refused to make me a new bowl. I asked why she would not make me a new bowl since it was their fault I had to drive down to pick up my order. She refused to make a new bowl stating "my love we have to put everything in". I still did not understand. I contacted the owner who did NOT pick up 38 of my phone call attempts. She later called me back questioning all my calls. I explained the situation and how unprofessional of them to not redo the order since it was their fault. She told me she was going to call the lady from the shop and call me back. Crickets. Never heard from anyone in the store. Fifteen minutes after I arrived back at work, the order was delivered. Obviously, it was watered down and not edible. I am so disappointed in Smoothie Spot. They lost a bunch of customers for life. They failed to honor that the customer is always right and let me walk out the door upset and frustrated at this whole thing. All they had to do to make it right was make another acai bowl. This was a $50.00 lesson learned. Do NOT go to Smoothie Spot. They are inconsiderate and unprofessional. The bottom line is all about the money. It was an easy fix. However, they got my $50.00 and lost all our business. I recommend you find a place where they will treat you better and with more respect. read more

We were really excited about this location opening up close to where we live but the last three times that we have gotten food here it was very disappointing. The food tastes and smells old, feels as if they reuse food from one day to the next. My stomach is hurting as I write this. As compared to other healthy places like diced and bolay this restaurant lacks quality and consistency in the food, and it is actually more expensive than the other options. We wont come back to this location because of this. Now is the morning after, and not only do my partner and I have diarrhea but also fever. This has never happened to us at a restaurant before. Most be a really unsanitary kitchen for this to happen. We spent over $75 on this location by now because we wanted to support the great idea that the place is but damn!
