This place rules. So glad we found this spot. Saw it driving in to Joshua tree and thought it looked cool. We wanted a nice meal after spending two nights at the park. Ended up going here and everything from the service to the food to the diner style ambiance was amazing. We got sat right away on a Friday evening. We shared the snake bite burger, wedge salad, ribs and two slices of boo's organic pie. Everything was delicious. Usually, we try and eat at Pappy and Harriet's while we are out there, but I think this may be a new spot for us when we visit J Tree. read more

Visiting Joshua Tree last weekend, and we came here to grab a bite to eat. The ambience was great, with music, dim lighting and plenty of places to sit. Everyone is really friendly and welcoming as well. We ordered the T-bone steak with potatoes and broccolini, and oh my god it was amazingly good! Oh my goodness, what a discovery! Friends just introduced me to Snakebite last night. Such a phenomenal look to this place--old school diner meets boho desert vibes. Staff was so friendly, I'd actually call them loving. Prices are actually sane, which is rare and special out here these days. The food though, was why I give it 3 stars. How do you fuck up a fry? I'm not sure, but somehow they were soggy. The shrimp cocktail tasted like ketchup in gazpacho. The Caesar had a DELICIOUS dressing but the greens didn't seem fresh. The ribs were a huge hit, so if the rest of the menu got that good, this place could become one of the go to places in the hi desert. The chefs and owners really need to be tasting all the food on a regular basis, being curious about how it could be improved, and dialing it in. I really love this place so much, but for now it will just be for the great beer list. read more

We were on our way home from a weekend in Joshua Tree and needed to grab dinner somewhere that we could also bring our dog along. A local friend suggested Snakebite Roadhouse as a possibility. We are so glad he did because it was FANTASTIC in every possible way. First off - we were thrilled that they have a lovely patio area where our dog could sit with us while we ate. It was chilly in Joshua Tree, but the patio area was very comfortable due to plenty of heat lamps. Second - THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! From the street this restaurant seems like it might be a simple diner, but it is anything but. They have gourmet hamburgers and tacos along with some other options, all of which were delicious. Third - the SERVICE WAS EXTREMELY WELCOMING, FRIENDLY AND PROMPT. We met the owner, who was friendly to us and our pup. We couldn't believe it when he told us the restaurant is brand new (only 2-1/2 months), as it seems to run like a seasoned, well-oiled machine. Finally - the atmosphere is rustic and charming with lots of color and personality. the owner told us he made designed it to have each room reflect a different decade. We dined at Snakebite Roadhouse for the first time today. It most certainly WON' T be the last! It was my husband's birthday and we were totally pleased and had a great time. We were there during the brunch hours and ordered Eggs Benedict. One with pork belly and one with ribeye steak. Both were amazing. They were served with potatoes that were absolutely delicious. The decor and ambiance very cool. Our server Jasmine was excellent. She was very attentive and provided excellent service. There are no words to describe how great this experience was. I might add what made tonight so magical was their music play list !!! Wow it really set the vibe for my birthday tonight !! On a special note I fell in love with the bartender , I think her name was Tyler! Wow her expert knowledge in how a fine cocktail is really made shows her dedications to the craft and commitment to this very fine establishment . So knowledgeable and committed to a very high level I'm sure this restaurant carries itself running on high levels of customer satisfactions. ! This was our first time at this establishment she consistently ensured we were always full fed and never parched! The drinks to order well I had so many I am and going in and on about how much I love this place ! Manhattans on point and had a variety of margaritas . Guava mango on point . ! Make no mistake, this place is FAR from being a roadhouse and certainly not a biker bar. Putting two vintage motorcycles on display does not a biker bar make. Sterilely decorating with faux-edgy items from Home Goods is a glaring contrivance that insists upon itself. That they advertise this as a good place for Instagram selfies, should tell you a lot. The premise is silly. It was annoying to sit on the kitchen side of the restaurant. Very loud and the main cook hollered and barked at the other staff the entire time. Despite the place being packed, we got our food in a very reasonable time. The servers were nice and helped us very well. Our burgers were very good. They come with delicious fries and cold, branded buns. (Not sure why no one in this town serves burgers on warm buns.) I'd rather they toast the hamburger buns instead of BRANDING them. I'll definitely go back and try other dishes except for the lettuce wedge that just looks silly. I'll have to wear blinders to avoid seeing the ludicrous decor, though. read more

Snakebite is a new restaurant in town with a cool laid back vibe and the food is excellent. We've been here twice for dinner and we will be back! Highlights: The Burger; it's addicting! Love the Wedge Salad; it's great for sharing and refreshing. The Fritters are crispy and their homemade Ranch dressing is delicious. My husband ordered The Steak, he said it's one of the best steak he's ever tried. The Mac n Cheese is not to be missed. We met the owner and he is very charming with a great sense of humor. He obviously takes pride in delivering a memorable experience. He also shared with us in he has been approved for a full liquor license and in early 2024 will have a full bar available.
