In the bar section, some county music and folks of all ages, learning line dancing, with smile, so, I'd say well into their 60's. Was greeted with a smile, all were welcoming and the restaurant side was fun, yet not noisy. The food, well prepared, good pricing and good quantity. My steal was great. I'll definitely go back, have no hesitation to go in, even if you see a motorcycle or two. Walking in has it's moment, it is a fun decor beautiful crowd with music vibes all suggesting a fun place for a Friday night but .,,. it stops there, the server took forever to get to us and when she did it was in a frazzled state of being overwhelmed and clearly incapable of managing it all in an efficient way. She brought us 1 water about 15 minutes later and yet we were a table of 3. Needless to say it was a long while before the 2 other simple waters arrived and she rushed away before we finished our phrases leaving us in limbo each time. The manager eventually came to our table to check on us but without listening he said "yea yea you're food should be coming right out " , hard to believe considering our order had not even been taken yet ! Finally our order is taken and we waited and waited to then have her come to our table and say "the food will come out , eventually "and 45 minutes later not counting how long we had already been editing for the order to be taken but it was 45 minutes more waiting for the food to arrive . Ambiance was really cool, food was good but unfortunately it took almost 2 hours to get to us. The staff are clearly working really hard, but the grill/kitchen (visible from the dining area) is just too small. The owner needs to reduce the amount of seating or expand the kitchen. read more

Dinner at the Snakebite on March 13/24. We were so happy we chose it! Food was delicious - everything! Special kudos to the Panko sandwich - it's a breaded flounder fillet - and it was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and delicious. The fillet was huge - would have been an adequate portion for at least TWO sandwiches. Cherry pie for dessert - perfect. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, service was great. Open kitchen was very entertaining to watch - the gentlemen preparing the food appeared to be enjoying what they do. I also saw use of gloves for food handling, and handwashing! We shared the snake bite burger, wedge salad, ribs and two slices of boo's organic pie. Everything was delicious. Visiting Joshua Tree last weekend, and we came here to grab a bite to eat. The ambience was great, with music, dim lighting and plenty of places to sit. Everyone is really friendly and welcoming as well. We ordered the T-bone steak with potatoes and broccolini, and oh my god it was amazingly good! Staff was so friendly, I'd actually call them loving. Prices are actually sane, which is rare and special out here these days. The food though, was why I give it 3 stars. How do you fuck up a fry? I'm not sure, but somehow they were soggy. The shrimp cocktail tasted like ketchup in gazpacho. The Caesar had a DELICIOUS dressing but the greens didn't seem fresh. The ribs were a huge hit, so if the rest of the menu got that good, this place could become one of the go to places in the hi desert. The chefs and owners really need to be tasting all the food on a regular basis, being curious about how it could be improved, and dialing it in.
