Ordered the hot beef & cheddar, crab Utz chips, and Heath bar cookie. They also hooked me up with three free wings (not sure what flavor). Everything was great, I'd recommend all of it and would order the same thing again. The beef was very tender and not fatty or chewy. I liked the unique Old Bay seasoning on the crab chips. All of their cookies looked delicious and the Heath bar is one of the best cookies I've ever had. Good flavor and crispy skin on the wings. read more

Came in on a Monday afternoon during regular business hours and they told me they were closed, despite the fact several employees were present and they were doing pick-up orders. I hate when businesses just arbitrarily decide to close early. I was a regular customer here but this has soured me on this small business. If you're open till 7 pm and I come in at 4, you should be open for business. Probs not coming back now. read more

I'm in big trouble, I better buy new pants now! Snappy's have the best wings I've ever had in Portland. I've tried everywhere. Either too dry and stringy, or two big and pumped full or hormones. Just Frank's for sauce, no buffalo sauce option. These were perfect. The buffalo wing sauce has so much flavor and just the right of heat. No blue cheese but I have my own so it was fine. And they are half the price of most places too. I asked for extra saucy wings and they were happy to oblige even though it was a caviar order. Popped into Snappy's the other day for a quick lunch. The place is nestled right in between Nong's and Marukin and feels like a time portal back into the sandwich shop of your youth. I could describe the decor in detail but it's better to see for yourself. For the Sausage Marinara, they've managed to solve the age-old problem of the meatball sub of losin a ball or two mid-bite and created a breaded sausage patty that tastes every bit as good. The Beef and Cheddar was great too, with the fried onions adding a satisfying crunch. The curly fries were also just what I hope for with fried, curly, potatoes. Very crusty bread and the meats seem very processed. Bias for me is a place that has their own homemade meats, which besides their beef is the opposite. This place is a worth a try to see if you like it. They do get a good balance of flavors in their sandwiches. read more

Tried them for the first time today and it was anything but Snappy. Took ten minutes to be acknowledged and twenty minutes to get food despite being the only one there. They didn't have to go this hard, but they did. Not only is the decor of this place incredibly appealing (you're gonna be seeing that milk crate ceiling on Instagram a lot, I guarantee it) but the food just hit it outta the park. Reminds me of my favorite hometown sub shop, except THEY didn't have an aesthetically pleasing tiny white TV in the corner playing Demolition Man, so Snappy's has them beat. As I watched Stallone and Wesley Snipes de-thaw in CryoPrison, I had a 4 Points (classic Italian sub, one of the the best I've had) and curly fries. Hell yeah. They also have Utz chips, but I couldn't pass up curly fries, and I stand by this decision. Best sub I've had in this city, no doubt in my mind. And the tuna melt (the damn thing has potato chips in it) also hits. Ridiculous. I have no criticisms, no grievances to air. I feel like Paulie Walnuts would love this place. Start by saying I'm from Maryland.. so the Utz got me very excited.. are they tiny bags that are overpriced? Yes.. but I would have paid double for the Crab and Salt n Vinegars.. Got 3 subs and 2 orders of wings.. The 4 point is prob the best Italian I've had in Portland..bread held up with the juice and just by the sight of the shredded iceberg I knew we were in biznass...beef n cheddar was good.. had those fried onions that you too that shitty green bean casserole at thanksgiving.. pay the $1 for the au ju.. The hot veg was pretty good, woulda been nice to have some cheese choices. I admit I'm a wing snob and Portland is shit when it comes to wings.. these were a huge disappointment.. over priced, cold and they don't give you a blue cheese, you have to buy it (give one, if I need more I will pay for it) .. no celery or anything. Got the browned butter ones and Asian style.. not good. I'm going to eat the shit out of the sandwiches tho..That 4 point (with no mustard, like wtf are you doing putting that on there) is one of the best sando's I've had in a long time. read more

I'm a sucker for a good sandwich and Snappy's delivered! I ended up ordering quite a bit as it was hard to choose! I left with a turkey bacon club, 4 pointer, cup of cheddar broccoli soup, curly fries, wings, chips and drinks. The sandwiches are hefty, and full of flavor. No skimping on ingredients here! The bread has substance and was the perfect sandwich vessel. My only disappointment was the soup as it just didn't do it for me. It's possible my tongue was numb from the spiciness of the wings but I have no regrets. It should also be mentioned that the staff was truly wonderful! I ordered over the phone and the person who helped me sounded genuinely interested in helping me. When I arrived, I was greeted with a friendly hello and even given some key advice on the best chips flavors. All in all, Snappy's seems like a great neighborhood sandwich spot with a quality menu and friendly staff. read more

Firstly, when I arrived the place was empty and when the cashier walked out she awkwardly stood to the side of the register without saying anything, just looking at me. I had to ask her "is this where I order?" And she just slowly nodded her head yes. When I asked what was on the tuna melt she mumbled and whispered so I just had to ask which ingredients were on it while she nodded yes or no.. after paying it took 20 minutes for me to get the sandwich while I listened to the back of the house just joking and laughing with each other. I'm not mad at that part, but I know for a fact a tuna melt should take about 3 minutes if you have no other orders. When she walked out she just handed me my bag without saying a word. Didn't feel welcome, the tuna melt wasn't good enough to have waited 20 minutes for, and all the rest of the staff that came out never even acknowledged me. If you're looking for a good tuna melt make the 15 minute drive to Ozzie's and get a faster, much better melt. Won't be coming back to this place even if they paid me to. read more
