This place is so good! I've been there twice at lunchtime and tried the crispy artichoke salad and the warm garlic-chili shrimp bowl. Both dishes were very tasty. Yes, it's on the pricey side, but the flavors are great, everything is really fresh, and the hot items are cooked to order. Yes, the line gets crazy after about 11:30. I enjoy the salad here, as for quality of ingredients and type of salads, this place is great. The review is more about customer service. The main problem I think is no one knows how to speak english half the time and its tricky to get your order correct when you get in that situation. This was only my second time at Snappy, same location. Both times I got the seared yellowtail and the first time it was great! So I got that again to go today for lunch, but found out upon getting back to the office that the fish had only been seared on one side. I noticed that it was super busy today at the grill, but not even searing both sides of raw fish and then putting it in the salad is unsafe for eating. Hopefully this review will be seen and corrected for - I'd love to try it again, and hopefully get the money back for a salad I certainly didn't eat today! read more

The service here leaves A LOT to be desired. There is one woman on the line, that is extremely aggressive and argumentative. She has singled me out twice to re-request I show her my receipt. Also, they have ZERO CLUE what a true allergy is. When someone says, "wheat" they should know exactly which products contain wheat. Lastly, I don't understand how they can charge different prices for the same salad. One day, you get charged extra for a normal portion of dressing, the other day, they charge you $3 - I will never be coming back. read more

Personally, I love the Piadina Steak wrap: perfectly marinated streak, pickled onion, shredded carrots, wrapped in a fluffy tortilla. SO ideal. Awful service. Closer you get to checkout, the bigger mess it becomes. Cashier is rude. I can order a soup every time and she will check me out, rush me off, and I wait 10 min for my soup or until I remind them- and when I do, she rolls her eyes and doesn't say a word. they mix up orders and lose orders all the time. Snappy Salads is the only place in my building serving fresh, healthy foods - so that's enough reason to go there, but their food is amazing! I saw a review of the Southwest grain bowl that said it was not good - couldn't be further from the truth, it's my FAVORITE and I love it, along with the Strawberry summer salad, the jalapeno soup, the warm garlic chili shrimp bowl, and the Tender Peach salad. Love the food and the friendly folks who help make sure it's right every time. I order online, take the elevator downstairs, and voila, it's waiting for me! I'm rating this one for a number of factors combined. If it was just one of the following factors, I wouldn't have rated it so low, but it's everything I hate in a quick lunch. 1) Price to portion size is terrible. I'm a 140 lb male and it doesn't take a lot to fill me up, but eating this I felt like was a starter size. I drink water so no charge for drink and it was $12. If it was half the price for that size, this wouldn't be an issue. 2) Waiting in line. This is a lunch spot in my eyes. Should be in and out. It took forever compared to other lunch spots. 3) Taste quality. If the price to portion size was terrible, and the wait was terrible, it could all be redeemed by awesome taste. The salad I got was called Grilled Avocado and it was on their "popular" menu. It was about as generic as salads come. Nothing at all special, and it was on the sour side for some reason. read more

The portions of the salad are huge! So don't think you're making a healthy choice necessarily. I had a regular size of the salmon salad. The salmon was a bit overcooked to me so it didn't have the right color, but I think overall the flavor of the salad was good and it was very filling. There is also a little too much dressing. One of my friends got the southwest salad which I think I'll try next! They had an entire avocado in her salad and it looked so green and ripe! Make sure to ask them to ease up on whatever salad dressing there is. read more

I was so excited this location was opening next to my office, as I frequent the store on Greenville quite often and have never been disappointed. I'm sorry to say that this Harwood location has done nothing but disappoint. Apparently, requesting grilled tofu instead of meat throws them for a loop. This time I got the tofu, but not the almonds or dried cherries (which MAKE the Bam Bam!). Last time I got tofu AND chicken. Also, the warm bread was stale and definitely not warm. Not very snappy... I get it, this place is popular around lunchtime, which is awesome! That's exactly is why I place my order online. My issue is that when I do this (and wait the ~30 min for my salad to be made) 90% of the time when I arrive the wait on top of that is 20+ min plus half the time they don't even have my salad made when I get to the to-go counter. Don't get me wrong, the food is good. Lots of options and the ability to customize is great. But for both the money and time spent, I'm just not sure if it's worth it. read more

Update - 8/2018 I have to update my review. This place is so inefficiently run and the app/online ordering seems to always malfunction. If you're picking up food, it seems like you could just get in line because the difference in wait time is minimal. There seems to always be one worker that just lingers by the pick up/checkout and isn't doing anything. Snappy needs to reconfigure the line rotation so it doesn't take 30 minutes to get a salad. And whoever their app developer is? Terrible. The app barely works and requires a constant token/reauthentication. What does that even mean??? ------- Great lunch spot in the food desert that is Downtown Dallas. I come here at least twice a week for both coffee and lu. Service is always good and produce is always fresh. And the place is clean! Kim, who works the registers during lunch, is always great and remembers my online pickup order. read more

I visited Snappy Salads (Harwood St.) for the 1st time today while on my lunch break and was not impressed by the overall customer service. I am currently under the weather and was only interested in their soup. I waited in line behind 2 customers and asked a young gentleman what the soup of the day was. Before I could even finish my question to the gentleman, a young woman came from behind him and rudely interjected. The gentleman asked if I wanted to try a sample and I did. I decided to order a cup in which he informed me I could simply do so at the register. I waited behind a couple of other customers to order and was unfortunately met by the rude woman who after checking the customer out right before me, looked at me, left the register to appear busy, came back, and just stood there looking at me without word. I asked her if it was alright if I ordered soup and she snapped at me with the price ready to take my card. I honestly wanted to walk out since she was so rude to me from the beginning for absolutely no reason at all. I expressed my disgust to who packaged and gave me my soup who apologized for the woman's rude behavior. I commend the gentleman for taking care of me respectfully, but don't believe the woman should have a job working with people. I order lunch from them 3-4 times a week. I always order online and then pick it up at the time they say. Kim who usually prepares the to go orders at the Downtown Harwood location is always on it. I've never had an order that was late or wrong. And I've never had an issue with the quality of food. It's always been great. read more
